Oh, liam. You're young and you have your whole life ahead of you. At age sixteen, you don't have to worry about not being in a relationship. Hell, I'm almost 18 and I haven't ever even been in a real relationship. Do I care? No. Because right now, I don't want to be in one. I want to focus on what I want to do in my future career. If someone comes along when I'm doing that, then fine. I'm not going to beat myself up over not having a significant other.

It's not up to us if you want to come out, it's up to you. My family doesn't even know I'm gay, and they probably won't for a long time. I'm fine with pretending I'm straight (because really, there are good looking guys out there, and I can still refer to them as hot/etc. while not really being straight at all). There's only so long you can go with it, but it hasn't been tearing me up inside, and maybe it won't for you. Don't be so hard on yourself because in the end, it's going to be a bad outcome.

Look at the brighter sides of things. Even if it's hard for you, try your best to. You don't always have to be a cynic, you know. You're used to being miserable, so you can't accept happiness at times. Lighten up a little, look at the lighter sides of things, and don't be so hard on yourself. It'll cause you to fall even deeper into a pit you don't want to be in.

See? That's the point though. You think that you KNOW you will not be in a relationship, but you're not even far along down the road to be throwing your life away just because you are this way now.

I don't know what to tell you. I stopped being pessimistic awhile ago, and it turned out for me. I'm not bubbly-happy all the time, no one can be. But you've put so much thought into this that you think you can't even escape from it. There's nothing else I can say because it's not up to me to change you, it's up to you to change yourself.

If you want to think you're going to be lonely your entire life, then you will, because you will push people away just because your mind it set to thinking that. I think sometimes I will never be in a relationship, but I'm not going to let it get me down because really? My main goal in life is to be happy and satisfied with what I've gone through in life. I have a long time to live, I'm not going to brood because it's not going to do any good.

Like I said though, it's up to you to change. Not me, not your best friend, not anyone else.

I really don't think you need to have anyone know your gay, for two reasons.

a) You already stated you are not going to have a relationship
b) You're still at and early age, growing up, and finding yourself as is everyone on this forum. You may very much not be gay. In our age group people go from straight to bi to gay quite a few times. You probably won't be entirely sure until you're in your twenties.

If you know you're not going to be in a relationship why would you come out? So that people will try to cause emotional harm?

Then again... You always say you like that.

I don't see the point here...

^The point is, he doesn't want to be a closet case by not saying he's gay. But he knows he won't be in a relationship because there are no other gays that can interest him, like he said, most are just a bunch of flamers or total fruits. Liam is a gentleman, he enjoys someone that can be normal, not a limp noodle with him.

Oh, ok, maybe if he looks for them more actively, he might find them. After all, not everyone is a stereotypical this or that.

" My blood cries out for the vengeance of my people's blood,
which can only be repaid with at least twice as much blood,
or maybe three times as much blood,
like if you went to hell,
and it was full of blood,
and that blood was on fire,
and it was raining blood,
and maybe that would be enough blood!
But they have much probably not... "
