For those of you who read my blog, I told you I'd probably start a new Fic. This fan fiction takes place after the Hong Kong Longs, and at first you may not think the Dark Dragon will be in it, but he will. It starts in third person point of view and I will probably change it. It's kind of boring at first too. I hope you like it. Please review!
Chapter One
New York City
It was the morning after the eclipse. The Longs would only be spending a couple more days in Hong Kong, and Jake was going to spend some of it with Rose.
"Dad, I'm going out for a little while," he said after breakfast. "I'll be back by lunch."
"Ok," Johnathan said. Jake left, shutting the door behind him and started for Rose's house. He sure hoped she had explained to her parents that he was not a lunatic. That would be some scene if she hadn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taking his chances though, he knocked on the door. Rose answered. At least, he thought it was Rose. She had darker hair.
"Uh, Rose," Jake said. "What did you do to your hair?"
"I've gotten that a few times," she said. "But no, I'm not Rose. See?" She showed him her hand, which had no birthmark. "I'm her sister, Lilly. I'll get her though. ROSE! Someone's here for you!" She smiled and went back inside.
Rose walked to the door. "Oh, hi Jake," she said. "We'd better go outside. I still haven't really figured out how to explain everything to my parents."
"It's cool," he said. "Where do you want to go?"
"There's a park not too far from here," she said. They walked next to each other to the park. Rose was wearing the pink pants and white shirt very similar she usually wore before the Homecoming dance, except the shirt had a butterfly in the corner.
They sat on a bench side-by-side.
"You did really well fighting the Dark Dragon last night," Jake said. "But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about. We're going back to New York in a few days. I don't know how we'll see each other, unless we use our dream charms."
"Dream charm?" Rose asked. "Um..." She laughed. "Mine is long gone."
"Gone? Why?" Jake asked.
"Yeah, it's in my old locker at school," she said. "And I'm sure they've changed the combination by now."
"I'll get it. Anyway, about New York?"
"Well, maybe I'll tell my parents that I want to go back to New York and my dad might get a transfer."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was the day to go back to New York. Jake was at the park with Rose again to say goodbye.
"What did your parents say?" he asked.
"That they'd think about it," she said. "Maybe I could get Lilly to tell them she wants to go back too."
"Maybe," Jake said. "I'm leaving soon. I came to say goodbye." They hugged and then he had to go.
