---------------------------------10:40AM
Rose was about to sneak towards the entrance, when she saw a car approach. She jumped back behind a wall as it turned into a driveway. As it did a roller door was opening automatically which allowed the black car to enter the garage. It did so, and very quickly after the door shut. Rose looked out to make sure the coast was clear. There was no other car as far as the eye could see and no one else out the front. Something that sounded like a large bang sounded from within the garage and although to her it wasn’t all that loud, it made her jump. She thought that she might walk up to the garage door, but remembered there were probably cameras trained on the entrance to the garage.
She looked around. There was a little pathway around the side of the building that lead to the back. Rose felt it would be better to enter through the back rather then to go knocking at the front door and receive an unwelcome response that even she couldn’t handle. Things needed to be handled one thing at a time. She slowly walked to the pathway and checked to make sure it was clear. After she saw no danger, including both people or cameras, she continued down the alleyway. It was a large building and the alley seemed to extend forever and there seemed nowhere to hide, she knew if anyone turned down the alleyway, she would be caught. She hurried her pace as she approached the other end as the less time she spent in the alleyway, the less time possible that she could be caught. Unfortunately as she neared the end, she heard the unmistakable sound of 2 voices approaching. She froze. If the 2 people came down the hallway, she knew she would be caught. She looked around, Just a narrow alleyway with brick buildings on either side and nowhere to hide. She stood against the wall and listened to the voices get closer. It was at that time, she knew they were going to come down the alleyway. She closed her eyes for a second, thinking about the prospects of taking them down, but at the last second, she changed her mind, and she jumped straight up as high as she could go. She then pressed her hands and feet to press hard against the adjacent walls, to keep her there. The 2 guys with suits entered the alleyway and Rose hoped they did not look up. From the high point where Rose was though, she could see the back area lot better and realised it was much to heavily guarded. She looked up, the building was not very high and she was about half way up. She realised if she could get to the roof that she might be able to find a way in from there. So she started to climb in a similar way to how she climbed up the chute before but it was a little easier this time because the brick had more grip.
Meanwhile from within the complex, 2 guards walked in to bring Lavenderpaw the news. “The car has just arrived and has been dealt with” One of the guys told her.
“Ok, we can deal with the captives now, but not just yet” She replied. Sitting down.
“Why can’t I just take them out now? A simple shot to the back of the head, they won’t feel a thing” The other responded laughing.
“He said we have to wait for his order.” Lavenderpaw replied.
“That’s just great” he sighed and they both walked of, not realising that what Lavenderpaw had just told them wasn’t true.
Elsewhere in New York, 2 Agents went to inform the president’s chief of staff about the recent sightings of the monsters near central park.
“We cannot bother the president right now” He said. “Assemble a small military unit and find these monsters, we cannot have these creatures threatening this city” He replied.
“Sir with all due respect, we shouldn’t go over the presidents head” one of the agents responded.
“You will do so, the president is busy, he is still in meeting with the chief secretary of the UN. As he is busy, and the vice president is in Washington, he left me to deal with you. You shall do exactly what I tell you. I say I want these monsters found, and you shall do exactly that, if you want to continue in your job.” He replied angrily.
Rose reached the top of the building, amongst the air conditioning vents and fans there was a trapdoor that lead onto the top floor. She slowly and silently opened it, peering inside, to ensure the coast was clear, before she snuck inside. Once inside she was in a hallway, she could either go right or left. She didn’t know where Haley was, so it was all up to guessing. The hallways inside were good as they had plenty of shadows and places to hide behind. Rose wanted to avoid having to knock out anyone, in case others found the unconscious body and alerted people. She felt, she could best save Haley if no one realised she was doing it. She also knew that they could not use her as bait for the three survivors. She walked quickly down the hall, finding some stairs down. There were 2 men at the bottom of the stairs, but she climbed over the railing on the side and jumped down off the side.
On the side of the room she was in, there was a rack of hunts staffs, Rose could not remember what type they were but she was grateful for it. She walked over to the rack and held her breath. She hoped that the rack was not alarmed. She reached out, putting her hand around one of the staffs, and slowly pulled it out. There was no alarm. Rose let out a sigh of relief. This would come in handy in case she was caught she thought. At that moment, she saw a map on the other side of the room. Unfortunately it was a brightly lit room and if she walked to it she would have to walk past an open door, where there were she could see quite a few guards. The 2 Guards who were at the foot of the stairs began to walk up them, which cleared that area a little bit. Rose looked around the room, the main source of light was coming from a large chandelier in the centre of the room. If she was able to cut out the light from that, she would be able to traverse the room quite easily. She remembered back to her logical thought and procedure class. It was one she had just scraped past at the academy, passing with a mark of 58. she looked at the light switch on the other side. If she could just fire an energy ball, just strong enough to apply force to the switch, she could turn the light off and no one need ever know. She knew she could make the shot, the problem was just how much force she could do without leaving any signs of damage. She took aim, held her breath and fired a small charged energy. It hit the switch but did nothing. She tired again, shooting a stronger energy blast at it, it hit and she heard the click as the light switched off. She saw a few slightly alarmed men look in, but they payed little attention to it. She slowly moved to the other side of the room and inspected the switch. No damage, but she had left a mark. She tried her best to rub as much of it off as she could, then returned to liking at the map. Her heart beat faster as she realised that she wasn’t far from the holding cell.
We walked at a rapid pace towards the garage
“The car could be there at any moment now” I said, and the 3 of us increased our pace, we all knew what was at stake here. I also had a burning curiosity as to why the hunts clan had betrayed us, but I knew my priorities and finding the captives was a top priority. We turned down 32nd Street, ahead in the distance, I could see the garage.
“Almost there” I said happily, the hunts master just grunted and The kid was unresponsive. As I walked I herd a sort of buzzing noise. It seemed to get louder and louder. I stopped for a second and asked the other 2 if they heard it. They stopped and listened.
“Yes, I heard that ages ago” the huntsman grunted. “And that’s why I kept walking, I know what it is” He said as the noise became louder.
“What is it?” I asked, but I didn’t need him to answer as it was then I realised what it was. Before I could do anything, A voice over a loudspeaker spoke up shouting “You 3 over there, stop right there, put your hands up in the air. We have a sharpshooter on board, escape is futile, you are all under arrest.”
I slowly lifted my hands in the air and turned around. Not far behind us and not far off the ground was a police chopper, they had found us…
