Hey all, here comes the second story, Hope you like it as much as the first Prologue. I put hand down to where the gear stick normally was, but I couldn’t feel a thing. ‘d**n, I forgot, I was driving an auto.’ I was cruising down the highway, doing 150 kilometres an hour. It was late at night which meant there were no other cars in site. Well except for those cars behind me, They were the cars I was getting away from, I had to, for they were police cars. If its not bad enough that I had stolen this car, I was the most wanted person in Australia. Not only by the human police, but the entire dragon council was after me. As far as the police saw it, I was wanted for 2 murders, as well as arson which had occurred 2 years before. Most of it lies, told by the dragon council. It was these murders that I was wanted by the dragon council as well. Well its not precisely true to say that its all lies, I did kill one of the people in question, but it was not murder. A police car shot by me and tried to cut me off just as we got over a bridge. A classic police manoeuvre. I headed towards the officer at full speed. I saw him get nervous. Then he lost his cool and ran. On the other hand, I turned the car at the last second. The car skided, but lost its momentum in that direction, just in time to merely bump the edge of the police car. I was then going at full speed towards the edge of the bridge. I crashed through, but I didn’t care. The car fell, at nearly 9.8 m/s. Of course there was air friction to account for, and the fact that I was not at the mean distance away from the centre of the earth, so not knowing, the friction coefficient for air and car, I couldn’t tell you exactly how fast we were falling. I undid my seatbelt and opened the car door. I jumped out of the plummeting vehicle, and turned dragon. I flew to just underneath the bridge, and remained hidden behind a pylon. I watched the car fall towards the water, then hit with a major splash, causing waves, which rocked a nearby fishing boat, which seemed to leave the occupants pale and shaken. I looked back up towards the bridge. The police were looking down at where the car had landed, but none of them saw me in dragon. That was a good sign. Whilst I didn’t care what happened to the dragons, I didn’t want to start a Dragon-Human war, which would most inevitably wipe out most of thew human race. I had been through in my head, many times before, the most likely chain of events which would occur, If I was spotted as a dragon by a human. They would fear the dragons. There would be a massive hunt. They would eventually go to my mother, torture her until they got the locations of the dragons, then start a war. I could do without being responsible for the genocide of the human Race. For 2 years, I had trained, I was now a lot stronger then I was when I faced Joe Nerk. I had learned so much. Running from police was very easy now, and hiding had become like second nature. I felt nearly unstoppable. The only thing that could stop me now, was the dragon council. They were the subject of much of my rage, and any time I felt low, felt lazy, or didn’t feel like training, I would remember them, and what they did, what they stood for, and I would get my enthusiasm back. Once all was clear, I made my way down to a clear, yet hidden bit of land and changed human again. I still needed to live in the human world, cause the dragon council was much better trackers. So I lived my life in society, as a street criminal, shoplifting, stealing cars, I needed to possibly survived. If the police found me, I would need to run from them in my human form, until I was out of possible sight, then turn dragon, and fly away, which often meant I would go through high speed car chases. They were at a loss to explain how I managed to survive all these crashes. They were also unable to explain why their police dogs were all afraid of me, and would refuse to go to look for me. Well I knew the answer to that. But little did I know that there were many things that I had still yet to find out. It started on that day, 2 days after my 16th Birthday, as I made my way up the shore banks and spotted what seemed like an empty cottage. I figured I could spend the night in here. The door was unlocked, so I walked in. It was dark inside. I felt around the wall, feeling for a light switch. At last, I found one, and clicked it on. I had to shield my eyes for a few seconds, but when I got used to the light, what I saw before me was one of the most amazing sites I had ever seen. The walls were lined with shelved, crammed full of books. Not only were they books, but they were special books. They were all copies of My Grandfathers books. There were more then I had even had at home. I looked beside me and saw what looked like the first book he had written I picked it up off the shelf. I looked around even more. ‘Maybe this will tell me more about my grandfather then I had ever known’, I thought, considering he had a fairly Roman sounding name, yet coming from Australia, I realised that although I thought, I knew all about my grandfather from what I had previously read, I actually, knew barely anything about him, and my learning was just beginning. I sat down, in the comfort of the cottage and began to read.

Chapter 1- The Anonymous Letter
I had decided that I would make that old cottage my new retreat. Whenever I found that I had a spare time, I would take shelter in the cottage and read up on my Grandfathers Work. The only time I wasn’t in the cottage was when I was looking for food and when I was training. It was a nice secluded place, that unless someone was an experienced climber, or wanted to risk running their boat over sharp rocks. It was about a week after I had stumbled upon this cabin, that I got a great surprise. While I was reading, I must have dozed off. I remember feeling a little drowsy and decided to close my eyes. The next thing I remember is feeling a strange presence. I opened my tired eyes and saw what looked like a cloaked figure exiting the cottage. My eyes shot wide open in the hope that I could catch a better glance at this figure, but by that time he was out the door.
I Got up and walked over to the door. I was trembling a little bit because I had no idea who that was that had just departed or what he was doing in the cottage. I got to the front door and peered out. There was no one in sight. ‘d**n He must move Fast’ I thought to myself. I returned to where I was sitting and was just about to continue reading when suddenly I spotted a note on the table. ‘That’s Funny’ I thought. ‘I don’t remember a not being there before!!’ I picked up the letter. It wasn’t addressed, it was just blank. I used my dragon Claws to slit it open. There was a note inside. It read:
‘Atecom: Its funny, You see a mysterious note, it could have been left by anyone, yet a letter just has to be opened doesn’t it? I have watched you since the day you were born. No I’m not a stalker. I am just a person who knows many truths that you are unaware of. I bid you not to be afraid. I am here to help you, help you expose the real cause of your grandfathers death. All your life, you have been told a lie, which was your Grandfather was hunted and slain by the huntsclan. I tell you the Huntsclan had nothing to do do with your grandfathers Murder. If you Want to know more about the truth, meet me in Hyde Park just after Midnight tonight. Come in Human form and come alone. You can trust me. I am your Friend.’
I read the note a couple of times. I didn’t know what to think. ‘Could this be a trap set up by the dragon council? If so why wouldn’t they have just slain me while I was asleep? No it couldn’t have been them’ I concluded. ‘Who could this have been, who has been watching me?’ The thoughts all circled in my mind. ‘Finally, what do they mean by the real killers of my grandfather. If it wasn’t the huntsclan, who could it have been.’ A thought crossed my mind. ‘It could have been.. No, Im sure they wouldn’t have done that.’ I thought about it a little more. ‘Well Theres only one way to find out if that not is for real and to see whats going on. I shall be in Hyde Park at midnight tonight’ I thought to myself. ‘I shall find out what is going on.’..

IronHand-Yep im not surprised Amdragon-Once again, not surprised
Chapter 2- The Meeting Although it was midnight, the bustling lights of the city shone throughout the park. Yes It was a large park for something in the middle of a city (although nothing like the size of central park in New York) but it would require a fair bit of searching to find a dark quiet spot. I figured that’s where I would find whoever it was who called me here. Earlier on in the day I had done some preparation just in case I was ambushed, but I was fairly confident that whoever was here just wanted to help me out. I walked past the small war memorial. ‘Life is a battle.’ My grandfather once wrote that, and although it was fairly clichéd, It seemed to spark my interest. ‘You survive a battle, just to fight another one.‘ I liked it, but I couldn’t let thoughts of my grandfather cloud my mind on a night such as tonight.
There was darkness everywhere, yet it was not spread enough in any spots to warrant any thoughts that someone might be hiding in there. I wished that they had given me a clue as to where they would have been. As I wondered through the park, I spotted a shiny coin near some bushes. Well I wasn’t the one to pass up a chance at getting money, since I had no source of income, so I made sure that I thought no one was around and walked over to the coin and bent over to pick it up. Suddenly a hand came out from behind the bushes and pulled me through.
As I came out of my shick, I then heard the figure say “Hold him” and two large hooded figures jumped from out of nowhere and grabbed me by my shoulders.
“What th..?” I cried, only to have one of the figures put his hand over my mouth. I started to struggle a little.
“Silence” The man who pulled me in ordered. “As I wrote in my letter, there is no need to be afraid.”
I gradually eased off my struggling and the hooded figure let my mouth go, but they both still held on tight.
“We have had a long trip here, but we have to tell you something.”
“Before you tell me, Who are you?” I asked
“We are members of the Huntsclan, The New York Huntsclan.”
That gave me a shock, knowing that the New York Huntsclan was one of the best in the world. “What does the New York huntsclan want with me?”
“The same thing we want with any Dragon. To slay them. But higher powers have ordered us not to do so in your particular case”
“What Powers?”
“That is not for you to know, Atecom. All you need to know is that we are here and we know the truth about your grandfather”
“What is this truth?”
The N.Y huntsmaster chuckled “Well we can’t just tell you, you wouldn’t believe us, well you might. That’s why we will aid you to get a confession from the mouth of the one who did slay your grandfather.”
The huntsmaster then waved his hand and then let me go. “To find out more, seek the name Erasmus. As for now we have finished our meeting with you, but rest assured when the time comes for you to face your Grand Fathers killer. We will be right behind you, giving you all the support you need.”
With that he threw something on the ground which exploded into a puff of smoke.
“Wait” I called and ran into the smoke. It was blinding and made me cough. When the smoke had cleared the huntsclan had gone leaving me more confused then ever. ‘Or was I’ I thought. I had an idea who it might have been. ‘If it is them, I shall bring them down indefinitely.’ Knowin that there was no more hope of retrieving any more information at that stage, I turned, walked out of the bushes, then walked out of the park.

Thanks reviewers AmDragon- Well id like to see you pass up some free money if you were a penniless street criminal
Spyder- Sorry No I havn't
Chapter 3- Apprehension
I arrived at the cottage feeling extremely tired. ‘Who was this Erasmus fellow they were talking about and what help could he be?’ I wondered. ‘Erasmus was the only clue they gave me. What was so special about this Erasmus? And what would he know’. I was sure the huntsclan wouldn’t give me leads like that without me having some idea of who it is that I was looking for. I tried to see if I could remember anyone by the name Erasmus, unfortunately, no luck. I then felt very drowsy, and couldn’t help but close my eyes after which, I fell asleep.
The next day I started my search for Erasmus. I knew I could probably trust the huntsclan, else they would have tried to attack me while I was held. The problem was, I didn’t know where to start looking. Maybe Erasmus was someone who knew my grandfather. Maybe he had written about him in one of his journals. The only problem was that there was far too much to read here, it would take me weeks in order to read through everything.
It seemed I had no leads, or did I? I could always try asking my mother or maybe even that old dragon out in the Blue Mountains. The only prob;lem with the old dragon was, I didn’t know if he was aligned with the dragon council or not, so he might try to kill me. At least my mother would be less likely to attack me at first sight. But at going to see my mother I would be putting both her and I in a very dangerous situation. What If the dragon council were spying on her, and I just wandered blindly into one of their traps. I had to process all those risks along with the fact that maybe they didn’t have the information either. After abut 5 minutes of careful deliberation, I decided that it would be best to go see my mother first, then maybe the old guy if My mother didn’t have any information.
I walked out the front of the cottage, then turned dragon. I flew up onto a ledge, then turned human again, cause if I flew any further it would be very easy for a human to spot me at this time of day.
I scrambled the rest of the way up the hill to the park which was just above the cottage. People were walking back and fourth through the park it was very crowded at this time. At the far end of the park there was a tree line which I could walk to and safely turn dragon there, without being seen, unless there was maybe some children playing in the woods, but not many people are likely to believe them.
I made my way through the park fairly hastily. I looked at the parking lot and jumped in shock when I saw a police car facing towards me, but breathed a sigh of relief when I figured out it was empty. I hoped that there were not police patrolling this park. I continued towards the tree line. ‘All these people walking around that have no Idea a dragon is walking right through the middle of them’ I thought. The thought made me laugh. I just reached the treeline, it seemed to take a while, it was a lot further then it looked and I got ready to turn dragon. Suddenly I heard a voice.
“Hold it right there.”
Then someone grabbed one arm and someone else grabbed another arm, just like the night before. I felt my heart sink. I knew that voice. It was Constable Mike of the Police. I was finally caught, and for reasons I wrote earlier, I could not get turn dragon to get out of this. If I wanted to break free, I would have to do it as a human.

AmDragon- ROFL IronHand- Guess who is in this chapter LP- Roger Roger
Chapter 4 - In Prison
Well once again, I sat in a cell awaiting trial. Of course the cells here were much better then the grubby dungeon style cells which the Dragon council’s prisoners were locked away in, but once again I faced life in jail, and there would be no choices, just what the judge handed down to me. I could easily escape this, just turn dragon and bust through the walls, I felt if I could do nothing else, then that is what I would have to do. That would be a last chance alternative.
I sat back down in the cell. ‘My life is full of trials’ I thought. I hope I can get through this one with as little trouble as possible. Constable Mike was doing his rounds. He stopped when he got just outside my cell.
“If I had my way, it would be to the gallows with you” He said
I just sat there, not replying.
“Unfortunately Australia has its laws, and I have to respect them. After all I am an officer of the law, I enforce them. I see you in here finally caught, after 2 years. I feel a sense of joy, knowing that I have you behind bars, yet I feel that there is something about you that I don’t know. I still have questions that are unanswered. Surprisingly, I don’t want to know why you did what you did, nor little do I care about that. Anyone could twist a story in order to get the sympathy to their side. During the 2 years that I have chased you, I have seen you die, or at least go through something that would kill any normal man, yet you, have walked away from these events without even a scratch. My question is this: How do you do it? How do you survive, when other people would die?”
I sat there listening to his voice echo on the empty walls off the prison hallway. There was no way I was going to tell him. I couldn’t even decide whether to fudge up an answer or not. He patiently waited outside for a response. I would have not answered him making him wait for ages but I found his presence very annoying.
“Ok, heres the deal” I said finally.
“Yes?” He replied
“I am a person who can transform into a dragon. There is a whole other world of Dragons, accessible to this world by a few transition points here and there. My mother is a dragon, without dragon powers, and my friend was a part of something called the hunts clan, a group of magical people who go around hunting dragons. There are other magical creatures as well such as elves, warewolves, mermaids, you name it, if it has been a part of our literature, it exists. I survived cause I turned dragon when out of your sight and flew to safety”
I then stopped and waited for a response. It took him a while, then he whispered
“A simple No I will not tell you, would have done. You don’t have to be a A-hole about it” Then he walked off.
Ha Ha just what I thought, the cops were too naive to believe what I just told them. ‘From now on, whenever I don’t want to answer any questions, I will tell them the truth.’
Another thought then crossed my mind. ‘What If the dragon council found out I was imprisoned here? They could find me and I would be cornered, or they could do something secretly, like poison my food or something.’ I thought about it for a little while longer. The more I thought, the more I feared the Dragon council would come after me here. That’s when I made the decision. I had to break out right there. I felt I had no other choice. ‘Man, constable Mike is going to pee himself when he sees what I told him is true’ I thought to myself. Maybe I might have to kill all witnesses in order to prevent the word from travelling. I got ready to transform into a dragon, when suddenly I heard a click at the door. I watched as the door slowly opened, revealing a person I had never seen before. They were dressed in full urban camouflage and wearing a beanie.
“Hey, dude is this Atecom?” The guy asked in a strong American Accent.
“Uh, yes” I replied.
“Uh Ok, well the Huntsclan has instructed me to get you out of here” he said.
“The huntsclan? They know im in here?”
“Dude!! The huntsclan seem to know everything these days. The Huntsclan = teh schwag”
“Uh, Ok, so how do we get out from here?” I asked
“Follow me” he replied.
He started Walking down the hallway. I followed.
“Hey wait, you know my name, can you tell me yours?” I asked “Fo shore” He replied. “My names Kellen, Kel for short, but everyone calls me Ironhand.”
Suddenly, we heard a voice from behind us yell “STOP!”
“Uh Damn Screw this stealthy escape, lets just run” Shouted Kel
“Ok” I agreed...
