I’ve been too lazy to work on TSS earlier, and now I’m screaming tired and need something to keep me awake. XD Sooo, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the final chapter! ^^ Then… Uh, extra stuff. :fup:
Chapter 15: Perils in the Battlefield
Rain falling. Long Feng’s dark wings flapping. Shade’s heavy panting. Wind blowing hard. These were all noises you could hear in the fray of the battle that involved part of Team Dragon and Long Feng.
“You can’t win.” Long Feng told them with an evil smirk on his face.
“I disagree, you’re going down!” yelled Spud back. Florence and Trixie remained silent, waiting for the first attack to be thrown. Long Feng shot green fire at Florence. She ducked and shot her arrow at Long Feng, the flame in the arrow as well. As it started to hit him, he swiped his flaming hand to move the arrow off the roof.
“Hmmhmm.” He chuckled. “You still don’t realize that with my pure skills shows you cannot win.” Long Feng told them. The three heroes moved in a circle with Long Feng until Florence realized Long Feng was in front of the pole that they were tied to.
“Heh, your flaw has become apparent.” Told Florence to Long Feng as she pulled out an arrow and quickly sped four arrows to shoot Long Feng’s wings and the robe where his hands were to get stuck to the pole as Spud and Trixie sped in front of him, Spud blowing the fire away with his fan and Trixie slicing at him with her katana.
“Grah!” angrily spat Long Feng as he pulled the arrows off and sped at Spud, smacking him to the floor and burning him. Florence and Trixie looked at each other hesitantly.
“You can help him, I know you will want to.” Florence told Trixie with a smile. Trixie smiled back and nodded, handing Flo her katana. She sped to Spud to try and tend to the wounds he had.
“Hah. Now you have no one to douse my flames and no one to attack.” Taunted Long Feng as he let out a very angry grin. Rose slowly stood from Colin’s side and ran in front of Long Feng, next to Florence, and taking the katana in her hand.
“You’re wrong. I can attack, and we don’t need flame dousers.” Rose challenged as she took out another katana. Long Feng laughed.
“Fine, go ahead and try to beat me down again.” Long Feng said with a last laugh as he shot green fireballs at them. They both ducked to dodge the flames and Florence was shooting four arrows, only the two wing ones got on without Long Feng smacking them away. Rose attacked nevertheless when he had his wings stuck to the pole, but she was punched back from the free hands.
“We can’t do this if his hands aren’t stuck to the pole.” Muttered Florence with anger.
“And you can’t get hits on the sleeves of his robe…” Rose added with a sigh. Suddenly, icicles shot and stuck his hands to the pole. Rose and Flo looked at each other simultaneously before Rose swiped at Long Feng before he pulled out the arrows and icicles.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Jake, Toph, Leah, and Ben looked off the side of the stronghold and saw the group of four who they beat.
“Oh, we were commanded to do this if we were to lose.” Called out the four members of the order. They all turned into grey, non-colorful dragons that flew around in the four directions, north, east, south, and west. They slowly started to burn fire the walls on the side that slowly started to spread. Luckily, the only non-fiery spot was the entrance to the city.
“Uh oh, we’ve got to warn everyone!” Leah said. Ben and Jake nodded, turning dragon. They flew into the air and into town, heading towards the outer walls, which would probably start seeing the fire.
“Want me to come with you?” asked Toph to Leah. She quickly nodded.
“Yes, now come on!” Leah insisted, grabbing Toph’s wrist and sped down the earthen stairs Toph had made earlier to get up to the wall in which they were on. “Now, if the any exits get blocked, I can use my telekinesis to move some people off and you can use earth in the same fashion.” She told Toph, who nodded.
Meanwhile, Jake and Ben were racing through the rain to get to the outer wall.
“Jake, I’m going to go and try to cool off as much of the fire as I can with my wings. Why don’t you go and direct the townsfolk to the exit and make sure no one gets hurt?” Ben suggested. Jake thought a moment.
“Yeah, but we’d better go quickly.” Jake added, watching the speed of the fire spread around the walls. Ben flew as fast as he could to the wall and landed on it, on the spot where the dead end where the metal bars that was the exit bridge. He ran across the wall to the nearby fire coming closer and started to flap his wings, the fire still burning but not moving closer to the bridge.
“Yeah, we have air!” declared Ben with a laugh as he flapped his wings faster, the fire starting to subside.
“Alright people, you see that fire? THAT’S why you need to get out of here!!” angrily yelled Jake to the townspeople who weren’t understanding why they needed to evacuate.
“OOooohhhh!!” said finally a dragon as he started to scream with others who ran on the path out onto the field and forest that awaited them in the Spirit World they were in. Jake scoffed with annoyance, but just flew around once more to evacuate the outer wall’s inhabitants.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Long Feng grumbled angrily while looking up at the two girls.
“Who made those!?” He angrily asked. No answers made the roof silent except for the raindrops and Shade’s panting. You could also slightly hear the embers of the flames far off, but no one was probably paying attention to them. On Shade’s face, he let out a small smile before going back to his normal, in pain face.
“No one knows. It may be someone who is hiding.” Florence finally answered. Long Feng angrily growled as he flew up and shot green fireballs again, which were dodged again. He then rose his hands above his head and created a giant, green fireball.
“Large Fire Cannonball!” announced Long Feng as his attack once he threw his attack down, impacting Florence and Rose even though they didn’t get directly hit. As the evil man was smirking, Florence shot two arrows at his wings on the pole and two more icicles appeared and stuck his sleeves to the pole too.
“I’ve got you now!” yelled Rose as she swiped at Long Feng’s chest, landing an X hit with her two katanas. He groaned in agony before destroying the arrows and icicles.
“That is it!!! Your insolence ends here, I will destroy you!” angrily shouted Long Feng as he turned his feet dragon and grabbed Flo’s bow and Rose’s katanas with his talon-like feet. Long Feng flew up high again and shot from his feet a cannon that stayed up in the air with him, charging.
“What do we do?” asked Rose to Florence in worry. “If that thing gets fully charged and launches at us, we’re doomed.” Florence pulled out her bombs.
“That’s it!” gasped Flo with realization. “I can plug up that cannon and it will backfire, just throw two bombs up into that cannon.” She told Rose. In response, Rose slowly nodded and pulled out two bombs from her bomb bag.
“Just make sure we aim carefully and get into the cannon.” Rose stated. She lit both of her bombs and tossed them into the air in the direction of the large, green machine. Once the bombs blew up, the cannon began to charge more, but it showed that the first two bombs had worked.
“I’d better hurry!” thought Flo as she also pulled out two bombs before putting the bag back away. She stuck them on arrows she had and lit them one at a time, throwing them like darts into the cannon. The fiery cannon exploded on impact of the remaining two bombs and shot in Long Feng direction, blasting at him instead.
“YAAA!!!” yelled out Long Feng as his burnt body fell on top of the roof. He was coated in the ashes from the green fire attack and his eyes were dazed before he lost conscious.
“Come on then, we’d better get out of here. The walls are coated with fire on the outer wall and getting closer to us.” Trixie explained. She had Spud’s arm around her shoulder, holding him up. Rose ran to Colin and picked him up as Flo sped to the panting Shade.
“Fl… Florence…. Please put…. My…. Bandana…. On my…. Head….” Uttered out Spirit Shade. Flo nodded slowly and took off the glowing red bandana from his chest. Shade grunted slowly as the pain returned until it was tied back on his head. “Th….. Thanks…..” added Spirit Shade as he slowly floated up, his robe not touching the roof. His face seemed to be a little in agony as he was still panting.
“Alright. Come on, let’s get going.” Rose said. She led by jumping off onto the sub-roof while still holding onto Colin. Trixie put Spud into a piggyback position on her back as she also hoped onto the sub-roof. Florence climbed down the rope she made as Spirit Shade floated down with them as they sped down the many stairs.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
“Don’t be so hesitant! You can see the smoke coming closer!” yelled Toph as she rose her hands immediately up as a wave sent many of the residents flying into the air, screaming.
“Toph, you can’t just launch people into the air! They’ll just land in a squish!” Leah exclaimed in anger to Toph as she quickly shrugged.
“Guess it just didn’t occur to me.” She inferred. Leah groaned and used her telekinesis to control a big circle around the flying residents and lowering them safely to the front as the other townsfolk.
“Now could you try that again, but not that high?” asked Leah. Toph laughed loudly.
“You kidding? That first one was barely high! Watch this.” Toph told Leah.
“NOO!!” screeched Leah with anger as she sighed, the rest of the inner-ring residents flying up into the air as she quickly used telekinesis. The bubble set them down as the first group.
“Hey, wait, what about the Dragon King?” suddenly realized Toph. She and Leah looked around frantically until they heard a voice.
“I’m right here.” He said, a big smile on his face. “I bet you’re also wondering about the Lai Di. Well, they’re long gone. I sent a few away and others vanished with Long Feng.” Explained the Dragon King.
“Well, your castle is vanishing. Aren’t you worried? Don’t you want to save your palace?” Leah asked the Dragon King, who quickly nodded.
“No, you see, this isn’t even what I wanted in the first spot. My main wants can now be fulfilled from information I’ve heard. I will come with you, but you need to get out of here. I will fly around the city and make sure everyone’s gone, then I’ll fly back to the main entrance.” The Dragon King told Leah and Toph, who slowly nodded. His wings flapped as he flew into the air and flew off.
“Great. Now we don’t need to evacuate the city. Come on, let’s get out of here!” Toph said. She raised her hands before smacking them down, every wall making a crash and an opening for her and Leah to easily escape without the fire being in their way.
“Come on, Jake and Ben!!” Leah yelled out to Ben, on the wall, and Jake flying about. Ben stopped flapping his wings and quickly flew over to Leah, picking her up. Jake did the same as they flew away from the city until they were in front of it. They watched the fire. The smoke. The burning.
“Did… Rose and the others make it out?” Jake asked Toph and Leah.
“…… We don’t know about them. The Dragon King should be here soon… But I hope THEY made it out too.” Ben stated in response. He and the others glared up at the smoke and saw it forming to evil shapes before floating away.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Barely making it out of the building that had caught on fire, the gang all had gotten up on a very tall tree, for the floors were now coated in fire as well as all the buildings.
“Ok, we’re dead. Even Long Feng escaped…. Even though we don’t know how…” muttered Trixie grimly.
“I….. I can…. I can do…. Something….” Spirit Shade was able to breathe out. He floated slowly in front of them all and was able to slowly raise his hands in front of him. He shot an ice bridge from the tree where they were on that was unable to burn from the fire and after the move; he sped down to the bridge.
“Shade!” Flo yelled, running over. Still panting, but quieter than before.
“I…. I don’t think…. I can make it….” Told Shade to Florence. She bit her lip and let out a tear before picking him up and running across the bridge as fast as she could. As fast as she could to the light of the safety. As fast as she could to save Shade. To survive, for everyone to survive. Rose, holding Colin, and Trixie, helping Spud limp across, merely followed with gloomed faces, matching the rain.
“AH! The bridge!” Trixie yelled, seeing the end of the bridge start to vanish. She quickly got off from over the fiery walls and onto the ground with Florence and the rest. Trixie saw Rose watching Flo slowly stroke Shade’s normally blue hair, now white with spirit.
“Don’t worry, you’ll be ok. I know it.” Flo told Shade with a slow answer. A tear fell from her cheek onto Shade’s body as it started to make a blue ripple on Shade’s body. He muttered a little and felt better, his panting normal as it was and his eyes half-open again.
“We’ll be going now.” A voice said. Colin was the one speaking with his eyes fully open as he got out from Rose’s grasp of lifting him. “I can tell. Staying here would be bad. The others will be worrying.” He continued to say, smiling at everyone and running, leading the way. It gave everyone else a smile too, a bright future ahead. They got up from sitting on stumps and followed.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
“Those awful children!!” yelled Long Feng. His wings, claws, and dragon-like feet had all turned back to normal, human ways.
“Which is exactly why we are joining the Huntsclan. They won’t know about Saph or Long Feng being dragons, so we can have spies.” Huntsdeath explained. “Aruella, they won’t have any suspicious about you except on how you may be a witch.”
“Now we are all thinking with clear heads. The Huntsclan is planning the biggest, baddest thing they have ever done, and with many members, we are able to help in the battle and know of weaknesses…” Aruella explained with a sly grin. Long Feng simply nodded with Lai Di members behind him. The four of them including the Lai Di were dressed as Huntsclan members now, with their masks off.
“Good. Now, I will go. I have to prepare.” Explained Long Feng to the girls. They nodded and walked elsewhere. His Lai Di army staid in their spots as Long Feng walked into his room, closing the door. He grinned and slowly let out a chuckle before turning into his full-blown dragon form.
“Aruella and the others may know I’m a dragon, but they don’t know what dragon they are facing…” muttered Long Feng, viewing himself in the mirror. “The Dark Dragon.” He answered himself.
(A/N: Didn’t see that coming, huh? XD Well, they are voiced by the same person…)The End……..
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
THE END!?? Is probably what you’re thinking. Hah, don’t worry, there’s still an Epilogue and trailers. And BOY was that a long chapter. But I did over half of it in this one night. Impressive, huh? This may be the longest chapter I’ve ever written. Well, please read and review, and not just that, “OMG, update soon.” Stuff, because this took FOREVER to do.
