It's American Dragon, it wouldn't be so serious an enemy. They'd probably make something clever, though. That's my guess. If they ever bring back or make a big enemy, it won't really make much of an appearance, like the Dark Dragon.

How about a creature that slays dragons to gain their powers? I know I've seen it before somewhere but I can't recall where.

^Well, the Kelpie and Dragon Vampires drain their powers to feed while evil dopplegangers drain their powers by 'absorbing';which is basically what your suggesting.

Wow, now that's a good idea NYC2D, that would be a perfect basis for a season, plot and amusement! Go 88 and 89!

True, so maybe that's not sush a good idea, (so that's where I got the idea) maybe some kind of cult dedicated to the Dark Dragon arises and tries to destroy humans (I haven't got many things left to say)?

Personally if Season 3 did happen and got a new Big Bad, I'd prefer it to be an original character and not just recycling older villains.
I remember someone on this forum had an idea of Rose's unseen sister being a villain due to the universe-altering hijinks caused by Jake during Homecoming (think, if Rose was never taken by the Huntsclan at birth, isn't it entirely possible that maybe her sister was taken instead?). I thought that was actually kind of neat.

Rose had a sister? :S What I would like to see are werewolves. I don't think I saw anything like that in AD:JL, or at least I think I didn't.

The Dark Dragon only needs the proper solar eclipse. Can the Huntsclan be wiped out by the power of a wish? Hey, 88 and 89 escaped the wish's effect through certain logic, what other ex-members escaped the definition of being a Huntsclan member?
Did the Huntsclan, although what bad they did, serve a useful purpose? Could their existence kept an evil in check from taking on the world? And even if there could have been an evil the Huntsclan kept under control, what aftershocks could appear by the paradox created by Jake's wish?
The Dark Dragon still lives, yet he is trapped until the moon and sun are in proper alignment. A little magic can arrange that. But, what made the Dark Dragon dark?
But to continue on the wishes from the Aztec Skulls, wish spells can't rewrite history but rearrange current events to align to "what if."

And even if there could have been an evil the Huntsclan kept under control, what aftershocks could appear by the paradox created by Jake's wish? Well, a paradox is easily spotted here: Jake wished Rose was never a part of the huntsclan, but if she never was part of the clan, Jake could not have wished her free. (You can never change the past on purpose, cause if you do, you would never have gotten the idea of doing so because it never happend. This is time paradox rule number 1 ) Because of this, one could say the wish jake made was impossible, creating a massive build up of paradox-energy resulting in the undoing of all wishes made with the aztec skulls. This would obviously release the huntsclan and BAM! There's your season 3 theme: the Revenge of the Huntsclan.

Well, a paradox is easily spotted here: Jake wished Rose was never a part of the huntsclan, but if she never was part of the clan, Jake could not have wished her free. Actually, Rose made the wish to "remove" all of the Hunstclan. Jake made the wish for Rose to not be a Huntsclan member. If the Aztec Skulls could rewrite history, then Rose would have never made her wish which in turn would not require Jake to make his wish. This paradox condition can be fixed by saying that the Aztec Skulls do not rewrite history but rearrange the present to mimic such history. But even as such, the modified present could still hold paradox-like effects. When the Aztec Skulls rearranged the current day to mimic a past where Rose was not part of the Hunstclan, something similar to plot holes could have been created.

(deep breath) Hokay. Here we go.
Out of nowhere, at the beginning of the next season, steps a warrior of great fighting skill, some magical ability, and an ironclad moral compass that impresses all that he meets. The claim he makes to Jake and company is that he is the last Paladin of Atlantis (or Lemuria, or Shangri-la. Choose your favorite mythical city) He seeks out Jake and company because something very bad is coming down the pike. The ancient babylonian evil goddess Tiamat was also a dragon. She had many heads and was called the mother of all evil. Some of you who read DC comics or Dungeons & Dragons may recognise the name. It's ancient myth so it's public domain. Tiamat is returning to subjugate the earth after being driven away thousands of years ago.. She will return with a host of slave dragons that will do her bidding. To battle her, an army of dragon slayers will be needed. The Dragon Council are the descendants of the dragons which rebelled against her tyranny and sided against her thousands of years ago. They have been informed by the Paladin of her pending return and directed him to Jake and company as the people at the center of what happened to the Huntsclan. After learning of the many crimes committed by the Huntsclan, (kidnapping, murder, hate crimes, endangering of minors) the Paladin realizes that the Huntsclan may be as much hinderance as help-- then he meets 88 and 89. Having learned of the Huntsclan school, the Paladin manages to find a way to restore the Huntsclan one at a time or in small groups. He begins with the youngest ones and gains their trust by restoring them to the families from which they were stolen. The young Huntsclan have been around magical creatures their entire lives so they are more than willing to listen when the Paladin tells them about Tiamat. The fact that the Long family are instrumental in their restoration does a lot to build their trust in dragons and other magical creatures. By the time the Huntsman and other senior Huntsclan are restored, they face a very large army of their former pupils and subordinates led by Rose who are NOT AT ALL happy to see them. They are quickly apprised of the situation and offered a simple choice: Fight Tiamat and her followers on the front lines (where an eye can be kept on them), or answer for their crimes to the very angry former Huntsclan. They choose the former. Tiamat's arrival generates storms all across the world. (She was also the storm goddess) This masks the conflict between her forces and those of earth. The Dark Dragon could easily be included on either side. The final battle would undoubtedly be marked by the great sacrifice and heroism which marks such conflicts. The Paladin would most likely die in the final act, setting a very powerful heroic example for Jake, Rose, and all their friends. Afterwards, the Huntsman, still steeped in his hatred, would escape and continue his mad quest to kill all magical creatures, The Dark Dragon would attempt to step into Tiamat's shoes and attempt to dominate the earth, and Jake, Rose, and company would go on back to their lives of constantly stopping them. (Whew. I hate it when the big ideas grab me and I have to spend all night writing the down.)
