Greetings,
After much team debate, we decided to make an "official" account for the fans of the ADJL series. Stephen, our project superintendent has given us the clearance to go ahead with this thread. There has been many concerned fans who wish to voice their opinions and questions to us and want an "official" response. Here's the place you can do that.
We will also be positing periodic updates and press releases as they become available. Please understand that if we cannot answer a question, it is merely because we aren't ready to release that information yet.
As many of you are already aware, the voice auditions for the first episode in the series is due by October 20th, 2009. Here is the YouTube audition video:
We would like to also assure you that this is NOT a scheme or a scam to make money or ask for unnecessary donations. We view these acts as childish and manipulative. At no time will we ask for monetary donations of any nature. We are indeed serious about this project and we ask that you please keep the comments posted here scrictly professional in manner and tone. Thank you.
We look forward to hearing from all of you soon!

Welcome to the site!! I'm glad to see that you guys have decided to sign up; it certainly adds a lot of credibility in my eyes.
I have to say that I really do think it's awesome that you guys are setting out to accomplish this. I'm very interested to see how it all pans out... especially interested in seeing perhaps some sort of test animation so we can see what this is gonna end up looking like.
That said, if you have the time and are cleared to answer, I AM curious as to whether Blue Sky is in contact with Disney, since it is obviously their show. My main concern is the DVD releases that I believe were mentioned... any idea how you guys are going to do that? Just kinda making it up as you go? ;D
Once again, thanks for joining. Look forward to your posts and updates in the future!

Look forward to your posts and updates in the future! Thanks. While it is not definite, we are almost 100% sure that when we finish all the episodes in the series we will be releasing them via a professional quality DVD box set. We will not be releasing these into stores - of course - as it is unofficial and doing such would be illegal. Once the episodes are complete we will be posting some promotional material on our YouTube channel, otherwise we will be making a website later on which will include as store where you can purchase the DVD set. The price as we see it would be $19.99 (this is the only time money is involved as it is for a product) with free shipping and handling. If you think that this is unfair for whatever reason, let your opinion be heard. Though, keep in mind it costs us money to make the series (staff, programs, casting, etc.) we believe this to be a fair trade-off for a quality project. We have been discussing about releasing the first episode on YouTube for free just to let the individuals decide if they want to see the rest of the series... Welcome dudes! Yeah, as said above, welcome and I think you will enjoy your stay at this forum. So there's not so much to add from my part since we talk on MSN sometimes so anyways, welcome! Thank you. I believe you were talking with Stephen though, not myself.

I see. Well, I think I speak for most others when I say that I believe it'd be PERFECTLY fair to ask for us to pay for the DVD sets when/if they do get released. No objection there. I just hope that you guys know what you're doing and make sure that you don't create any grounds on which Disney could conceivably try to sue you on. I mean, granted, they might not care much about mere unofficial boxsets of a show they haven't produced in two years, but I can't say that I know the inner workings of Disney one bit, so who knows. Either way, best of luck. Hope the casting call has brought some good voices in! And if it hasn't... well, I guess there's still two weeks left to the deadline.

Yeah, I thought it was Stephen until you changed the sig. :S Alright. Sorry about the confusion. I see. I believe before Disney sues anyone - they email a "cease and diciest" letter to you first and if you don't obey they will try and sue you. Of course if this happens we have no choice but to obey. From what we found out, we don't foresee them doing this or even caring about it... unless of course it turns out to be popular, then they may get concerned over the DVD profits. Hard to know for sure though. Well I'm glad to see that some persons put so much effort in this. I think that I'll make my submission soon Thank you. We will be looking forward to it if you decide to audition.

Welcome!
Glad to hear that you don't think that Disney will care about the DVDs. I had a hunch that it wouldn't matter, just as long as it was made known that it was unofficial and fanmade.

I think that I'll make my submission this week, as soon as I have enough time to do it calmly. .

Thank you. You're confidence is very reassuring. We'll see what happens though. I think that I'll make my submission this week, as soon as I have enough time to do it calmly. . Oh yes, I have a pretty good question. Will your production be in 16:9 (widescreen) and if so, is there a possibility you will render it to HD and instead of a DVD do more like an "on-demand" service? You know so that you can buy the eps and download them in HD or SD directly from the site?

You know so that you can buy the eps and download them in HD or SD directly from the site? It certainly will be in HD wide screen. Who knows? Perhaps we will open a part of the website with an on-demand type feature, sounds like an interesting idea. We will have to see, but this could be a possible factor for sure.
