Id suggest instead of selling at the store it start up a website and offer direct downloads of it for people that pay. But then you have to pay for ban with.

For the game size I've some news: I've downloaded Doom 3 (don't say it to iD software ) three days ago and I tried something. The Doom 3 files are .PK4 files. To open these ones you need Winrar. I checked the size of all the compressed files : 1.50 GB. Uncompressed version: 3.69 GB Oo !!! So don't slow the quality of your game files. Let it as it is. If you need to transform your .rar or .zip files in .PK4 files there's some apposite converters that you can download it here: doom3.filefront.com/file/ZipPK4_Converter;33051files.filefront.com/PK4Scape+10/;3678598;/fileinfo.htmlfiles.filefront.com/Doom+3+PK4+Recompression+01/;3611319;/fileinfo.htmlFor the translations I have an idea: translate as you think and when it's finished send me the dialog files from e-mail to me at primodragoneitaliano@yahoo.it . I'll correct it and maybe do an italian translation from these ones. And don't worry. I'm not gonna making errors. I have to go every day at school in france so I have to read, speak and write in French every day. So ;D . And while I'm doing corrections instead of let you spending 4 hours in corrections, you can go ahead in programming. One thing also: ask id software if you can use the Doom 3 graphical motor. If they say yes ask them if there's a place where you can download the files. A last thing. If you're in trouble with some programming stuff ask id for help and if they had some tips for programming a videogame. ( that ones they certanly have ones because they're programming games since 1988. And a nice thing it's to put a link in your game's main menu to the online saving Am Drag petition. a last thing (really last one): which kind of game it's gonna be ? RPG ? FPS ? That's for my best friend who creates music so if he knows what kind of music it's gonna be he can make musics consequently. Phew !!! What a long post lol !!! ;D ;D PS: protossdragon, you really e-mailed id !?! Whoa that's cool ! You and Fire Master are

The game is slightly based off Assassin's Creed, you know those style games. And for the motor i haven't decided on wich yet, i'm still testing different motors and still deciding what works best. Next update on game will be posted tomorrow, no screens or artwork though i'm planing that for next week when i probably launche the site, if it works out.

Well Fire Master, you must be referring to the game engines, not motors. Anyway, I know you can't predict or give an exact date when the screenshots will come out. But hey, like any game companies, they show their concept arts to the viewers first before they come out the actual screenshots. Here's C&C Red Alert 2, of how did Westwood transform the game from a concept into a real game. Concept : Real game : Hope you better don't keep us waiting, Fire Master. I was waiting for a screenshot since last week, but this week, I got nothing. I scared if you say next week again, but by the time next week arrives, no screenshots again. So I suggest you should upload some concept arts instead, you don't actually need the exact game screenshots yet. And another thing, you better not keep your fans waiting & waiting.

Guys i got some bad news, my computer got a virus and now i'm afraid if i don't fix it i'll have to delete the files on my comp, originaly artworks and promotionl art will be shown but it is possible this version of the game is a no go, luckily i'm not that far into creating process yet and re-starting wouldn't be much of a problem if it happens. Although after the artwork and promotional art is posted online we will take a big break from making the game because we have exams and stuff the next couple of weeks and just can't make the game and study at the same time so there won't be so much new the next couple of weeks.

Aww man, another bad news. As for the virus, can you get a better protection or something? Norton will do, but if you want it free, try to find some and I'll research for you once you choose your free software. My only suggestion is don't use the following softwares : AVG (Too weak), NOD32 (Offers no protection at all, it just scans. Still considered weak.). By the way, some virus you see maybe a spyware, or a malware such as UZA, which completely affects your whole Windows. UZA cannot be wiped out by anti-virus or anti-spyware except by an UZA eliminator. And hopefully you backup your files so you may one day need to face a reformat. If you don't backup, the project is doomed to a restart. Never neglect backup, put them into another drive such as D: or an external hard disk, which is much better. Anyway, promotional arts or whatever you're trying to bring out is good, but hope you can do it quick before your exam season begins. I'm sure you & your friends must put the project on hold first before you all can continue. Good luck with whatever you can, if you can give us at least something promotional like a trailer, screenshot or a game title poster, etc.. So we will not lose touch with this game. Don't keep us waiting, my comrade.

Check me, it works ( I use it everyday) Download also Spybot Search&Destroy: this one is very useful when you download tons of things from internet ( like me ). No, Italian, AVG is too weak, I used it before, even some friendly software also classified as virus when AVG detects it. So I don't recommend AVG. Believe me, I'm an experienced user on computer softwares as much as Floridian, except that he is the bigger guru.

So you could try Search&Destroy. If antiviruses are weapons, S&D is the BFG from DooM 3

The problem is solved I see. So keep courage and one thing: make always backup of your files on an external drive just used for it (HD or DVD's).So if it's going to happen again... no problem

Hi everyone ! I just wanted to know if you're going to release a beta-version of the game and if it's yes when because I really want to test your game. And another thing: for the game maps I thought about one thing,. The game S-T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl has huge maps but the game is weightless (well he's big anyway, he requires 10 GB of HD space ). So if you want I can search what is the format of the maps of the game so youcan make sooo nice maps and you don't need an entire HD for the game. Hafe fun and keep courage !!!

True, I also need a game which runs at good quality, BUT also at a very lightweight, such as a very big map in just less than 20mb. Do anything that is cost efficient.

Okay. I'm going to e-mail the producers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernoby producers. And I've an idea: they're going to do a sequel called S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky and the lightmap is very nice. If you agree I can e-mail them so that they cand send us the lightmap of that opus. ( for the screnshots go here: www.jeuxvideo.com/screenshots/00019/00019352_somm_p000.htm. Check the fifth screenshot. Nice no ? EDIT: the editor of the game is THQ who made also Juiced and Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights Each map of S.T.A.L.K.E.R is about 40 square kilometers so if we use both the PK4 files from Doom 3 and the maps of S.T.A.L.K.E.R we can do a nice game. -The lightmap of the second S.T.A.L.K.E.R opus is a volumetric lightmap. It makes a very nice and realistic light. -I'll ask THQ for the I.A. I explain why: in S.T.A.L.K.E.R the characters used by the computer interact with they environment. The other stalker walk, speak, sing and eat in a place but next time that you'll go on that place you'll find... nobody. Or a mutant. Or a wild animal. So if you use that I.A. NY city will be very realistic. I'll update my post when I'll receive the e-mail response from THQ RE-EDIT : I've just emailed the THQ webmaster, so that they can help us in buildingup the IA and the lightmap. I'll post the response from THQ as soon as I receive it.
