Plot Summary [Taken from IMDd] :: This is the story of an isolated Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only the small town's husband-and-wife Sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction ... [dun dun dun. XD]
Just ... wow. Amazing movie!
First off, it made it x 100000 more awesome, because of where it took place! Now where did it take place? Barrow, Alaska. Oh yeah, that's right, they went there. XD Besides, the whole concept of the sun not coming up for 30 Days ... well, it just had to be in Barrow. XD
When I first saw the previews for this movie, I was drawn to it because it was about vampires, which are totally awesome.
The way they actually captured Barrow, and how it really looks was truly amazing. It actually looked like Barrow! (Aside from the sheriff thing when we've really got state troopers. xD) It seems that they put A LOT of research into it, because there was no way they could have made 30 Days Of Night without a lot of it.
Okay, enough of me going GSJKDGJKSDGJKL about it being in Alaska. xDD;
The Vampires ... the way that they did them was just amazing. They weren't the typical vampires you'd expect, but ones that would actually give you the chills.
I've heard people saying that it was a bit too gory. I, personally, don't think it was, because ... well, vampire movies are kinda supposed to be gory, now aren't they? XD Overall, I'd give that movie a 10/10.
But the ending would have been funnier if everyone came back and was like OMG WTF HAPPENED? xDDD
Ahhh, now I have to wait a long time before it comes out on DVD. D:
Anyways, that's my review for it. [For those of you who have seen it XD] What'd you guys think of it?
