Another favourite band of mind who are soon to be releasing a new album this year, are the South African, Nirvana influenced, grunge band, Seether.
Their debut album Disclaimer was a major hit, with the smash hit singles "Fine Again", "Driven Under" and "Gasoline" as well as several other immensely popular songs such as "69 Tea", "Sympathetic" and "Broken".
It was with those titles and several others that they left their past as Sharon Gas far behind them and carved the name of Seether into the music industry.
It was 2 years later however, that this 12 track album received an "upgrade" so to speak; and become "Disclaimer 2", receiving 8 additional tracks including the Amy Lee featured duet remake of their song "Broken", the song featured in the movie The Punisher, "Sold Me", and the song they wrote for the Daredevil Soundtrack, "Hang On".
I really enjoyed these additional tracks as I had become hooked on Seether from the moment I played the first track of Disclaimer, "Gasoline". However, in my opinion, the songs did not live up to the reputation of the 12 that were previously recorded, and although I enjoyed the single "Broken (feat. Amy Lee)" If it was between those two, I would choose to pump "Fine Again" every time.
However, this doesn't mean I think the songs were necessarily bad, because they weren't, they were really good. I just think maybe it would've been better if they'd spent more time focusing on their 2nd studio album, thus making it much more sucessful.
Despite this, I still think Disclaimer 2 is a very worth while buy and the fact that it includes the newer songs, as well as the original 12 featured on Disclaimer, makes it even more awesome!
