A/N:
I don't dance! I say you can't! I mean, HOLA GUYS! Thanks for joining me in the awesomest premiere in the world - and the one you all have been waiting for for a long time (maybe a year?)!
Hah, well, anyway... before we get started, I will eventually work on finishing "An Unlikely Adventure" completely, because right now, it isn't. I just didn't want you guys waiting any longer. You don't have to read or review the remainder of the story if you choose not to; it'll probably be, most likely, boring anyway.
By the way, I got everybody's invitation and as of now, all the peoples have been accounted for. YAY! Well, except for Lisa, but as far as I can, she's busy and I know she'd want to join anyway, so her character will be in the prologue. [: If she says otherwise, I'll fix this later.
Okay then, I don't know what else to add, so here we go! The beginning of "All Together Now"!! YEAH!! *sings I Don't Dance in the background* :P

Prologue
A New Beginning

Ages ago, long before inhabitants walked the planet, there lived a highly unusual species of creatures from mythology. They called them, Dragons; which were, after a period of time, discovered by humans and had research begun on not long after. The era when these types of beings reigned on the Earth seemed so long ago, and until then, there have been questions about the untimely sighting of these “Dragons” and were wondered of them regarding of what their true power within them have been obscured all this time.
It had never come to fruition with the plan of how investigators or even regular humans could spot one up close and in contact themselves, whereas there also came a time to ever finding out more. It was then that it came to this decade and last where there have been remarkable appearances of a dragon; only one that stood out and had seemed rather unique.
People have called and knew her as ‘Radiance,’ or ‘Dragon of the Heavens,’ also known as one of the only of these creatures who was a full dragon. She had been given that first particular name because of the extraordinary brilliance that gave off as she flew across the sky, whether the atmosphere would be day or night. They say she had a special gift of flight as one of those distinctive dragons that were high above the rest; in which were envied by others because of the ability she bore.
The second was about an unknown tale written by an indiscriminate individual from decades past. Stories have also been yet told about the influential power that she, being talented, also held, though it could be certain that a winged mortal would never be able to inhabit such capabilities. Over the years, many stories have been passed on about how she would be destined to save the world from all evil one day, but also alongside certain people, but the information, as much as most things itself, were still declassified. Things never turned out as people had thought, though, as there not need any worry about the impact of the planet.
That was, until several years before, a beseeched scientist had been extremely absorbed as to what it seemed to have the experience to study the powers she truly possessed. One day, while airborne in the sky as the dragon had been quietly afloat in the atmosphere, he managed to extract a DNA sample from the being — barely managing to escape — then exported the obtained evidence to his team of assistants. There, the data, that seemed highly corrupt as first, was transported into a newly created cloning device of his own invention, where research sustained for hard-worked hours. It was then that after that, the dragon was no longer spotted in mortals’ eyes. Many found it highly unusual, and predicted that trouble must’ve arisen. Ever since then, there have been diverse inferences of what took place right after.
Had she acquired her own human form nowadays? Or had she just gone back where she came from? To this day, the mystery is still labeled as unsolved.

Two Weeks Later…
Two Weeks Later…
The light, crisp air filled the night sky as a large group of people lay comfortably along the grass in a various amount of different positions — whether it be standing, sitting cross-legged, lying flat, or even running about. Dim lights brightened the area and sounds of soft, melodious crickets resonated throughout, along with the sounds of pleasant conversations and joyful screaming.
“Wow, I can’t believe it,” came the voice of Kay, seated on the grass with her legs extended, “I never actually thought this summer would come.”
“Kind of strange, you know,” chimed in Leah, staring up at the stars that twinkled and dotted the skies with eternal vivacity as she spoke, “I was excited for vacation to just happen, but then when all of this crazy stuff went on, it came to me that I had less of a desire to leave.”
“Makes you think, huh?” A teenage Japanese boy agreed with her, lifting up a paper lantern and positioned it closer to him on the other side as he scooted to the right where someone else sat. Leah moved a bit closer to him, looking at everyone else’s; they all had one of their own as well, also beside them, “I mean, what with all the wacky adventures going on?”
“You’re right, Ben! And you know, we were all in this together every step of the way,” Another girl who sat next to Kay — who seemed to have probably been a friend of her’s — chimed in after only a few moments of silence, staring at them with a grin, “It was never just one person or anybody else left alone. It was like, teamwork that can never break!”
“Hey, well, that’s how friendships are here, Veronika,” Shade reminded, him and Florence leaning on each other’s heads lightly, also holding hands as the two of them stared overheard towards the horizon.
“Sure are,” Florence spoke once again, still completely content with how she was situated with her boyfriend, “It’s just too bad that most of us won’t see each other for like, four months. It’ll sure feel weird without you guys with me for a while. Well, other than the fact that I’ll be with Shade, of course.”
“So what are your guys’ plans for the summer?” wondered Madisen as they all continued communicating to one another. Everyone leaned in a bit closer with interest as the chatting had sustained once more.
---
Farther across the corner, a blanket was placed on the grass. On top of it was an assortment of food, a traditional picnic basket, and two people, Mark and Emily.
“This is a nice way to spend our last day together,” commented the elated Emily, staring deep into Mark’s eyes.
“Well, you know, I just figured that this would be one of the best ways to do it,” Mark shrugged modestly, a smile on his face, “Pretty ‘creative’ of me, huh?”
“You think?” The girl rolled her eyes, both of them looking down then at each other again. Mark reached his hand over towards a small package of pudding, slowly took off the lid, and then took a spoon. He gestured in question, considering the thought of Emily probably wanting some. After receiving a nod, he scooped up a tiny amount of the chocolate and then brought it forward and Emily leaned over, taking a bite from it.
Emily sat up completely after that, taking the time to chew the food that was in her mouth and then swallowed, opening her mouth to talk once again as she watched Mark taking a few bites from an apple, “My mom says summer jobs are good on college applications — or at least it keeps a good resume while you’ve still got a few years until your duration ends up finishing in DISOM. That’s why I might end up getting a lot of work down for a while. And at least so I won’t feel too broke.”
“Don’t work too hard, then,” said Mark, “I don’t want to be worrying about you while we’re away from each other for four months.”
She grinned, taking a few sips from the soda can that she immediately opened, “Hey, I’m a big girl. I think I can take care of myself…”
“Well, there’s no harm in making sure, right?” They both laughed a little then continued eating in a bit of silence with a few occasional words that they decided to slip out every so often between bites of their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
---
A high-spirited laughter came from the other side, as if it seemed from a distance, footsteps softly thumping against the ground. This extremely cheerful girl was Amanda, being chased by her boyfriend. They both happily beamed, even when she had been caught in the arms of Kevin eventually.
“You just can’t get enough, can you?” giggled Amanda, turning to the direction towards him.
“Nope,” Kevin replied jokingly, both of them moving in a bit closer until they ended up falling into a comforting embrace, “And you know what the best part is? This summer, it’ll be just about you and me, equaling the words summer time!”
Amanda then felt a bit away from ease once she heard that sentence come out, inhaling nervously, “Uh, about that, t-there’s something I wanted to talk to you about, Kevin.”
“Um, okay,” He was a bit confused with her sudden change of tone, “what about?”
“It’s, well, a bit hard to tell you this,” She lowered herself slowly until she sat on the ground, legs crossed, “but, we won’t get to do that, exactly.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“You see, my dad called me last night, regarding the fact that our the family should spend like a whole lot of time together since I haven’t been around for like, a year, and… well—“
“Hey, if you guys are planning on spending a couple of weeks together, it’s not big deal. I mean, we still have the rest of the—“
Amanda sighed again, taking Kevin’s hands slowly, “Kevin, you don’t understand. This doesn’t only mean a few weeks. It means… t-the whole summer. All four months…”
“Oh, well, at least there’s… once school gets back?” He guessed, but then formed a disappointed look on his face when it seemed to Amanda that her expression told him otherwise, “No?”
“This whole thing was a new experience, not only for me, but for my parents just as much. And it was just too hard for them, wondering everyday how I was doing and if I was okay. In fact, I was sharing them all about my adventures too, but they didn’t really take it quite well, as much as I had planned, basically. So, they’re officially sending back home tomorrow. I’m going to a normal school, live a normal life, and just be… normal. I hate separating us, but—“
“I understand. It’s just a bit hard to believe, you know? It seems like just yesterday, we got together.”
“I guess long distance relationships won’t always work, huh?” She shrugged sadly, “I mean, we can still be friends, right?”
Kevin nodded slowly, “Why not? I can’t hate you because of what your parents think is best for you.”
“Thanks, Kevin. I’m glad you understand,” Amanda tried to let out a smile, but hid her sadness from him with a tight hug, tears slowly falling from her eyes.
---
Atop the hill was Ash, staring ahead at the starry night sky, along with a boy around two or three years older than she was. She turned to him, who still had his gaze focused forward. She broke the silence after a while, “So, how come I’ve never seen you around before, Lewis?”
“I don’t know,” shrugged the tall, black haired teenager that she was talking to, “Maybe it was because you were just too BLIND to find someone noticeable like me? Or is it because your eyes can’t see what it likes?”
“Oh, shut up,” She nudged the joking boy, grinning widely, “You know, it’s just hard to meet new people these days, okay? After all, I know you now because of your Aussie friend, Liam. And you know how we met? He threw a piece of cake at me at lunch two weeks ago because he was aiming at you — go figure. Speaking of, where the heck is that guy anyway?”
“It’s a small wilderness here; I’m sure we’ll find him somewhere,” Lewis suggested with another shrug.
“Likewise, Australian!” exclaimed the voice of another teenage boy about Lewis’ age. Once after he had loudly announced those two words, a mysterious, soft noise came from the ground. Soon after, a burst of water, almost as if it were an explosion, began from the bottom and then worked its way up, drenching the two completely with water.
“Okay, that was just uncalled for!” Ash yelled, irritated with her now wet clothes, raising a fist then shaking it in the air, “LIAM!”
As soon as that name was shouted, a teenager, with an appearance similar to Lewis, came running towards them, “It’s not even my fault! Emi was the one who turned on the sprinklers!”
“Always have to blame me, huh?” Another girl came up to the three, arm over Liam’s shoulder in a friendly, teasing sort of manner, “After all, Ari here was the mastermind behind the entire plan.”
“Of course,” A blonde haired, green-eyed girl stepped up towards them, “You just got to love how things work,” She clasped her hands together.
“Well, while we’re at it, may I have this dance?” asked Lewis, bowing in a strange manner, holding out a hand that Ash was going to take.
“Why of course you may!” Ash replied, grabbing a hold of Lewis’ hands as they both ‘swing-danced’ together in the moonlight. He held up his arm, allowing her to spin around once and then they both lollygagged some more. The rest of the friends shrugged, took a partner, and began to dance. Ari just nervously followed along with them, watching the excitement in everybody’s faces as they all danced with the sprinklers bathed them entirely with water as more laughter filled the air.
(A/N: Don’t think these two weirdos, Ash and Lewis, are together yet in the story. They will be soon, cause, hah, I’m awesome like that.)
---
“Aw, come on, guys, cheer up,” softly spoke Shade, hands in his pants pockets, worried as much as the rest had been. The group had just recently heard the news about their friends’ break-up.
Ash stood in front of the two saddened friends, cheerfully blurting, “Hey! I know what’ll help! How about we sing a song or uh, um… play a game? A game! Okay! M-Man or woman?” There was still a pause, but she continued on while she tapped her chin with her finger, “Man? Oh! I know this one! WALT DISNEY!”
(A/N: This following ‘edited’ quote came from a specific movie. If you tell me which one it was, then you’ll get a spoiler! It’s easy too! But if you need a hint, then it showed on Disney Channel last night — and it’s Raffi’s most favorite movie ever. Tell me what my favorite song from it was and you’ll get two! [:)
“Um, Ash?” Lewis scratched the back of his head nervously.
“I… I’m not helping, am I?”
Everybody else sighed, except for Amanda and Kevin, who glanced at each other than to the direction in front of them once again.
“Come on, you guys,” begged Kay with dismayed eyes, “You can’t stay like this forever. I mean, you both did promise a commitment to being friends, at least, right?”
“Sure it might be hard to cope with things at first, but think of it as something you’ve got a bit better now,” added Ari.
“After all, just because things don’t work out doesn’t mean you have to fix it,” Florence shrugged, “If you keep on trying or end up mourning about it, it’ll never get better; it could end up resulting into a worse manner.”
“I guess that sounds about right,” Amanda looked up, after staring down at the ground below for so long.
“Can’t stay like this forever, right?” reminded Veronika.
“Nope,” Kevin shook his head slowly. He and Amanda looked over at one another again, but this time, with smiles on their faces.
“That’s the spirit!” grinned Leah, taking Ben’s hand and raising both of their arms up in the air, “Now who wants to party? Let me hear a yeah!”
---
The sun rose from beyond the clouds as light bathed every person with warm sunshine. That afternoon was going to be a heart-well ending — or should I say goodbye?
“Parting is such sweet sorrow!” Ash called out overdramatically, wrapping her arms around each of her friends that she came up to, dropping her luggage on the grass harshly as they all sadly tried to let go of each other.
“I’m going to miss you!” exclaimed Emily to her best friends, embracing her fellow girl pals as they all linked in a circle.
“This sucks, why did we have to be best friends two weeks before the school year ended?” Kay moaned, fake-crying with her pal, Veronika as they both hugged.
“Well, this is goodbye,” Amanda smiled a little, slowly staring at Kevin longingly for the last time, “I-I’ll still try to write and call, though.”
“That sounds about good,” said Kevin, getting his hopes up. They both exchanged a final embrace and they both walked together; at least they decided to until the moment came to truly say goodbye, “Maybe then, I’ll come down and visit you again.”
“Like friends,” added Amanda with a childish grin.
The resonance of mournful farewells surrounded the air noisily. Crying, laughing, hugging, and a mix of everything blended in that day. Friends from all over DISOM came together to share partings — whether it would be excessive embracing, signing yearbooks, exchanging phone numbers, or anything along the lines of it, everybody still seemed as if they were together even if they were truly splitting apart for the next four months or summer vacation.
“On the count to three, everybody let go of their balloons! One… two… THREE!”
But even through the sadness that started to bring up all of a sudden with afflicted remembrance that day, that heart-warming feeling of joy and merriment still remained. And from that time on, everyone had come to realize that maybe parting with a goodbye was another way of saying hello…

End ATN Prologue
I'm so corny with endings. xD Well, yeah, that was pretty strange. I finally accomplished something; a 3000 word prologue! WHOOTYA! Oh, and um, I apologize if I rushed on the 'character appearances' here a little. After all, it would be like mostly a highlight of everything happening. And cause, I sort of wanted to get through the point. The AUA epilogue will basically be about them meeting even more new friends, then. Since it seems apparant in the prologue that they've all known each other for a while.
Haha, well anyway, I've got two people probably beating down my butt just to post this. So, I better do that now.
I HOPE IT WASN'T SO BAD! And elaboration on the first scene will come up in the next few chapters. Believe me, these ones are gonna be long, babeh. So much going on in each! [: Anyway, AU REVOUIR! And please reply if you can!!
