Ok, well, I was extremely bored, so I decided to make a new fanfic. My character, Emily, will be in it. It has to do with AD:JL. Yes, she is a cartoon character. Well, here goes. Chapter 1 I have my resources
Emily could turn into a purple dragon at will. She had left California and flew to New York without telling anyone. "Excuse me," she said to a woman outside. "Do you know where I could find Millard Filmore Middle School? I'm supposed to go there this year." "Yes," she said. "It's over that way. My son goes there." "Really?" Emily asked. "Thank you." She walked in the direction that the woman pointed in. She had arrived at the school. Now all she needed was a locker to put her stuff in. She walked inside and searched for the principal's office. "Hi, Principal Rotwood, my name's Emily," she said. "I've been transferred from California to this school. Know anyone who can help me out around here?" "Ah, yes," he said. "We just got a letter today. Here." He handed her a slip of paper. "That should have all the information you need." "Thank you," she said. She searched it for a locker number. Once she found one, she went and looked for her locker. The one next to hers was open and there was someone inside it and digging for stuff. She opened her own and put her stuff in and then shut it. The person inside looked at her. "Hi," he said. He had black spikey hair, a red jacket, and pants that only went to his knees. "You new?" "Yeah," she said. "Name's Emily. Yours?" "Jake," he said. Jake...now where have I heard that name before? she wondered. She scanned him. Nah...can't be... "Jake Long?" Emily asked. "Yeah, how'd you know?" Jake asked. "I have my resources," she said mysteriously. He raised an eyebrow. "Hey, what class do you have next?" "Science," he said. "Me too!" she said. "Mind showing me where it is?" "Sure," Jake shrugged. Emily followed him to his next class. There was only one empty seat and it was the one by Jake. "Is this the only seat?" she asked. He shrugged. "I guess so." "Mind if I sit here?" "Nobody's stopping you," he said. Emily smiled and took a seat just as the late bell rang.

Okiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!
Chapter 2 Two teen dragons...great, more trouble!
It was lunch time. Emily followed Jake to the cafeteria. Odd as it was, they both had exact same schedules. "Jake, there's something I have to say," Emily said. "What?" Jake asked. "I'm...a dragon," she whispered. "I heard that there was another dragon here, you, who needed help. The Huntsclan army is growing stronger. There has to be more than one dragon fighting it." He looked at her, startled. "Where did you hear that?" he asked. "I have my resources," she said, echoing her statement from before with a smile. Some girl with blonde hair walked right by Jake. Emily could tell she noticed him, but pretended not to. He sighed. "Who's that?" "That's..." He stopped. "No. I'm not giving you a straight answer til you give me one." "Ok," Emily said. "What would you like to know? A question for a question." "Ok," Jake said, thinking. "Who's your trainer?" "I don't have one," she said. "Why not?" he asked. "I said one question," Emily said with a smile. "Now, who's that?" "That would be Rose," he said. "How do you know her?" she asked. Jake raised an eyebrow. "Ok, fine. I'll tell you why I don't have one. Nobody in my family knows I'm a dragon." "Oh ok," he said. "Could I meet Lao Shi after school?" she asked. "Why?" Jake asked. "I want him to know I'm a friend, not enemy," Emily explained. "Um...I'll have to call him," he said. "Not sure if he'll like me having strangers over." "Okey dokey," she said. "So...how do you know that Rose girl?" "She's just a friend," Jake said. "Friend huh?" she asked. "Or more?" He went red. "Why don't you ask her," he said. It wasn't a question. "What? No, I was just kidding," she said. "Hey Rose!" Jake called to her. She turned around and walked over. "You called?" she asked. "Yeah, I want you to meet Emily, she's a newbie here," Jake said. Emily went red. "Hi," she said. "Oh, I thought it was something important," Rose said. "She's a dragon," Jake said. "Guilty," she laughed. "Oh really?" Rose asked, raising an eyebrow. "Two teen dragons...great, more trouble." "Hey!" Jake and Emily both said. "Well, you have to admit, dragons are trouble," Rose said. "Well, yeah, pretty much," Emily laughed.

Here's the third chapter.
Chapter 3 Training begins
After school, Jake called Gramps and asked him to have Emily over. When he argued Jake told him (quietly so that nobody would overhear) that Emily was a dragon. "I don't know why, but she wants to meet you," he said. "Is it ok for her to come over to the shop?" Finally Gramps agreed and Jake and Emily went to the shop. "Well, this is it," Jake said. "So you're Lao Shi," Emily said. "Wow, it's great to meet you." "Yes, and you must be Emily," he said. "I wanted to ask you something," she said. "Well, I've never actually trained with an actual master before. I mean, I'm ok, but only just, and I want to help defeat the Huntsclan. Do you think you could help me find someone who would train me?" "I can," he said. "In fact, I know just the person. Jake, come here for a second." "Yeah?" he asked. "Would you train Emily?" he asked. Jake laughed. "Me?" he asked. "Jake?!" Emily exclaimed. "Yes," Gramps said. Emily and Jake both burst out laughing. "Teach her everything I've taught you." "Uh, ok," Jake laughed. "When do we start?" "Right now," Gramps said. "On the roof. If you want to learn, you must do everything Jake tells you to." "Excuse me?" Emily asked. "Like I'm going to take orders from someone smaller than me and probably the same age as me." "Then I guess you do not want to train," Gramps said. "Fine," she sighed. Her and Jake flew onto the roof. Gramps did too, probably to supervise. "What do I do first?" Jake looked at his grandpa for help. "Gramps, I've never done this before," he said. "I dunno what to tell her." He sighed. "I guess I will train her myself," he said. "It will probably be better for your training to have someone to oppose you too." "So do I have to train today?" Jake asked. "No, you've already learned what we're going to learn today," he said. "You may take the day off." "Yes!" he said. "Thanks G." Emily sighed. "Where do we begin?" she asked. "We will begin with flight," he said. "First you must--" "But I already know how to fly," she cut him off. "That's the thing I'm best at. Check this out. Dragon up!" She flew up into the air and zipped around the building (even doing some tricks) and landed again. "Ok," he said. "How about combat?" And so he taught her how to first parry and dodge and they they would start attack the following day. At first, Emily wasn't very good, and kept getting hit, but after a while, she was very skilled at it and could block and dodge all of his blows. Emily was a lot like Jake in some ways, but in others, she was very different. She kept her mouth shut through the whole lesson, so that she wouldn't ruin her chances of finishing her training. She loved her first lesson. "Very good," Gramps said after the lesson was over. "We are done...for now. You may go now." "Thank you," Emily said and started to walk away. She stopped. "By the way, where might Jake be?" "From what I have heard, he likes going to the skate park." "Thanks again." Then, she flew off toward the skate park.

Here's the next one!! Woohoo!
Chapter 4 New Years Dance
Emily quickly found Jake at the skatepark. "Done with training," she said. "I dunno how to skate, but perhaps you could teach me?" "Ok," he said. So he tried to teach her. But she wasn't very good and soon gave up. They went back to the shop. "Well, I guess I have to go," Emily sighed. "Hey," Jake said. "What's wrong?" "Nothing," she said. "I'll see you in the morning at school." "Ok, see ya," he said. She opened the door. "Wait." She stopped. "Where do you live?" "Nowhere really," Emily said. "And everywhere." "Literally?" Jake asked. "Yeah," she said. "My family doesn't live here in New York." "Why?" he asked. "What happened?" "I ran away," Emily explained. "My family got all snobbish on me, so I left. I'm sure they're doing much better without me anyway. One less mouth to feed, as I call it." "Well, if you want, you can stay at my house," Jake said. "My parents would understand." "Really?" she asked. "That would be so great. Thank you." "Anytime," he said. Jake woke Emily up for school the next day. She got dressed and ready.
"Another Science project!" Jake exclaimed. "We just had one a few weeks ago!" They had to do a Science project on the solar system. Spud and Emily were partners, Jake and Courtney (Rose's friend) were partners, Trixie and Kyle (yes, Wilkins) were partners, and Rose and Brad were partners. Lucky Rose. "Check it out!" Emily said at lunch. She pointed to a banner. "Ooh! I've never been to a dance before! This one is a New Years dance!" "Sounds like fun," Jake said, grinning at Rose, who rolled her eyes. "Wanna go with me Rose?" "Fine," she said. "But we have to be careful." "I know," he said. "I doubt anyone will ask me," Emily laughed. "Someone will," Jake said. "Who you gonna ask?" she asked Spud. "I dunno," he said. "Stacey?" Jake said. "No," Spud said. "Who?" Emily asked. "A cheerleader he used to like," Trixie said. "But I think he's over her now." "Duh," Spud said. "Are you going?" she asked. "Probably not," he said. "Why not?" Emily asked. "I'm sure nobody will go with me," he said. "I'm sure someone will," she said. "Anyway, changing the subject, what do you want to do for our project?" "We could do a model of the solar system," he said. "Already been done," she said. "But we can make it rotate and revolve," Spud said. "And how?" Emily asked. "That I haven't figured out yet," he said. "We'll think of something." Emily spotted Trixie talking to Kyle over her shoulder. "Sure, I'll go to the New Years dance with you," Trixie said. Jake rolled his eyes. "Everyone has been rolling their eyes," Emily said. "Is there some kinda...eye-rolling disease?" They all rolled their eyes. "Apparently..." "Did you see that?" Trixie asked. "Yes," Emily said. "Kyle Wilkins just asked you to the dance. Big whoop. At least you have a date." Trixie frowned. "Well, it don't sound good when you say it!" she said. "I'm going to get my lunch," Emily said. She hadn't yet gotten her lunch. She was waiting for the line to narrow. "Hey, New Girl," someone said. "Yeah?" Emily asked, turning around. It was Brad, but she didn't know what she was in for yet. "You got a date for the dance?" Brad asked. "Not exactly," she said. "How'd you like to go with the Bradster?" he asked. "The Bradster?" she laughed. "I'm a football player," he said. "Football..." Emily said. "Oh yeah, I hate football. Can you give me til tomorrow to think about it?" "Ok," he said. Emily got her lunch and walked back to the table. "Were you just talkin' to Brad?" Trixie asked. "Yeah," she said. "That a bad thing?" "Please tell me he didn't just ask you to the dance," she said. "Why?" Emily asked. "Did you say yes?" Trixie asked. "No," she said. "Good," Jake said. "Take it from us. You do NOT want to go with him." "Ok...?" Emily said. "Did I miss something?" "You ain't missin' nothin'," Trixie said.

Ok, I'm updating, but I couldn't think of a name without making it a spoiler.
Chapter 5
"Still don't have a date?" Jake asked. The dance was that same night and Emily still didn't have a date. She shook her head. "I said no to that Brad dude," she said. "There better have been a good reason for that." "Trust me," he said. "You do not want to go there." "Well, it's better then no date, I'm sure," Emily said. "It's not," Trixie said. "If you say so," she said. "Did you get a date yet, Spud?" "Nope," he said. "Think I'll go by myself." "Yeah, I might too," Emily said. "Wait a minute, I just had a brilliant plan. Why don't we go together?" "Us?" he asked. "Yeah," she said. "But just as friends." "Ok," he said. "You two?" Jake laughed. "Friends," Emily repeated. "Ok, ok," he said. "The dance is tomorrow, so I guess that makes sense." The bell rang for Science. "And...we're late. Let's go." They ran to Science class. "Your projects are due tomorrow," the teacher reminded them. Spud and Emily had already finished theirs. "Open your text books and read pages 160 through 165." They read and then the bell rang right as they finished. It was lunch time. "So, can you believe the dance is tomorrow?" Emily asked. "I mean, I've always wanted to go to a dance and now I actually get to go to one." She opened a candybar that came with her lunch. "Em, you're hyper enough," Jake said. "Candy won't help." "I know," she said, her knee bouncing up and down. "But chocolate is tasty." "Uh, if you say so," Jake said.
After school was pretty boring. It was the usual. Training, then work for Emily. She had to work a double shift and came home late. "Sorry I'm late," she said to Jake. "Had to work a double shift. Someone called in sick." "That sucks," he said. "Yeah," Emily said. "I'm bushed." "Well, good night then," he said. "Night, Jake," she said with a smile, then went to the shoe room to sleep. She missed her alarm and Jake woke her up. She wondered why. She was usually a light sleeper. "Why didn't my alarm wake me up?" she wondered. "I'm usually a light sleeper. This isn't normal for me." "You were probably just really tired from work," he said. "Yeah, you're right," she said, throwing her backpack over her shoulder. She grabbed hers and Spud's project off the counter and they left for school. "Nice project," Jake said. Courtney was bringing theirs. "How'd you make the planets float like that? No strings." "Oh, it was Spud's idea," she said. "Magnetic force." "Very nice!" he said. "Yeah, and you should see the report itself," Emily said. "It's even better." "How long is it?" Jake asked. "18 pages," she said. "Wow," he said. "Single space," she added. He rolled his eyes. "I think my next report will be about eye-rolling. 'Is it a disease? What causes this disease? Is there a cure for it?'" Jake laughed.
They also had a project in Mythology. Lucky for Emily, she had researched the subject before she even knew she was a dragon, but she got to pick her own partner and they had decided that her and Jake would do theirs together since they were always at the shop together. After school, they went to change for the dance. Emily was wearing a long, purple dress, aquamarine earrings, a shark tooth necklace with turquise beads, and her hair was in a neat bun. "How do I look?" she asked Jake. "Fine," he said, fixing his tie. "Fine?" she asked, rolling her eyes. "One syllable?" "Ok, very fine," Jake said. "Happy?" "Oh, what do you know?" Emily asked. "I can give you more then one syllable on how you look. Well, for one thing, you put way too much hairgel in. For another, what's with that tie?" "I think I look fizine," Jake said. She rolled her eyes. "Oh no, now I've got it," she said. "What if it IS a disease? Are there side-effects? Will I like, grow a beard?" She was pretending to act like a panicked prep. Jake laughed. "Ok, let's go," he said. They arrived at the dance within a few minutes. Emily searched for Spud while Jake searched for Rose. "Hey Spud," Emily said. "Sup?" Spud said. A new song started, but it was one of those party ones. "Wanna dance?" she asked. "K," he said. "I have to warn you," Emily laughed. "I dunno how to dance." "You just gotta groove to the beat," Spud said. "Ok, I'll try," she said.
