Chapter 11: Seizing the City
The speech The Dragon King was talking about with the disguised gang was slowly going as the three fakers were are quietly talking to each other.
"This guy doesn't stop, huh?" Huntsdeath muttered, boredly and a bit angrily.
"Keep your cover or we're dead." angrily replied Aruella as Huntsdeath just rolled his eyes.
"Shall we go back to the palace?" The Dragon King suggested as he got closer to the warriors.
"Yes, Your Highness." Aruella simply stated. They all got up and followed the Dragon King up the long stairs as the Lai Di agents and guards went back to their posts.
"Go see Long Feng, inform him of the news." muttered a Lai Di agent to another. The second man smiled big, as they were listening on with their conversation and they walked off.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Up in the palace, alone with just the fake American Dragon warriors and Bosco, the Dragon King seemed to be entertaining them all.
"Look, Bosco! Jake's friends and warriors are here to protect us! Aren't you excited?" asked the king to his pet bear, shaking Bosco's cheecks around before he growled happily. "It's been a difficult week for me. My most trusted advisor, Long Feng, and his Lai Di agents tried to take control of the city away from me!"
"It's terrible when you can't trust the people who are closest to you." simply explained Aruella, apparently not having any interest. Saph and Huntsdeath blinked and looked at one another before looking back ahead to the king and his friend pet.
"But there is good news. As we speak, Jake Long and his pals are in the city, preparing for the city's upper protection and the removal of enemies that may come, like an Aruella or something!" The Dragon King magnificantly said, holding his hands out with expression. Once Aruella heard her name, her shock led her to slightly open her eyes a little wider.
"Really?" She asked, trying to not sound to surprised. "Now that sounds like a fascinating and brilliant plan." muttered Aruella once more as she set her glance to the direction of Huntsdeath, him and Saph once again looking at each other, but with their heads moved ot each other.
"It's getting a bit late." explained the king as he loudly yawned like his friend pet Bosco. "We should all get some sleep, good-night!" The three of them bowed and got up from their knees, walking out of the palace and to their room, Aruella grinning.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Now in their large room in the upper ring of the city, Aruella and her henchfolk were planning.
"We have been presented with an extraordinary opportunity, you two." started to explain Aruella as she walked past Saph and Huntsdeath to the large window nearby, who were wiping the make-up off their face.
"Huntsdeath finally gets to wear make-up?" Saph cherrily asked, being all peppy about it.
"Haha." sarcastically answered Huntsdeath angrily, the rest of his make-up was red paint slushed under his eyes.
"I'm talking about conquering this city and the whole Spiritual World." Aruella explained quickly as the two who were removing facial make-up looked in astonishment to her statement. "For a long time, my ancestors have been hammering away at this place on the outside, but now we are on the inside. And we can take it by ourselves!"
"Gosh, you're so confident! I really admire that about you." Saphire admitted while Aruella slightly looked back with curiosity of her comment. Huntsdeath just continued to listen.
"From the inside, we are in perfect position to organize a coup and overthrown the Dragon King. The key is the Lai Di. Whoever controls the Lai Di controls the city!" declared Aruella as she looked back at them with an evil, triumphant look to her face.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
A rest and rise in their warrior outfits and make-up, Saphire and Huntsdeath were on the top of the stairs at the palace, talking about stuff. Aruella seemed to be off doign something else, but behind the two fakers, two Lai Di agents were climbing on a pilliar each, eavesdropping on their conversation. As the talking began, Huntsdeath sighed.
"How much longer do I have to wear this girly disguise? I don't know how anyone can fight in this..." he muttered.
"Maybe that's why it was so easy to beat the American Dragon warriors and take their clothes! I mean, once we were beaten, I broke through the ropes and used my fire to beat them with Aruella!" Saph suggested, punching the air as if it was Trixie who she was fighting before. This thought peeked the curiosity of one of the Lai Di soldiers and he looked and listened closer, the other agent doing the same.
"How much longer do we have to serve the Dragon King? If I have to clean up one more pile of bear poop, I'm gonna throw up." Huntsdeath angrily told Saphire as the conversation went on.
"Aruella promised we would go back home once we found the American Dragon and his friends, we just have to be patient!" explained Saph.
"Shush up! Do you want the whole palace to know we're evil Huntsclan and dragon?"
"Sorry..." The same Lai Di agent smiled and the two of them climbed back up the pilliar they were on to give Long Feng the information they just recieved. Once the talking was done, Huntsdeath and Saphire noticed form the shadows, Aruella emerging.
"Good work you two. I'm sure the Lai Di will deliver the message." she explained, a triumphant smile on her face. The two others nodded as they went back to their business. But later... Lai Di agents visited Aruella late in the night that night and took her to their leader.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Aruella was taken to the cell where Long Feng was behing held, the two Lai Di agents just standing there with Aruella and awaiting further orders.
"What is this about!? Your agents show up in the middle of the night and drag me down here!? You will NOT treat an American Dragon warrior this way!!" demanded Aruella, struggling in the clutches of the two agents, who were angrily looking at her.
"But you're not an American Dragon warrior... Are you? Aruella who wishes to conquer this Spirit World!" Long Feng declared as Aruella's struggling started to subside in how she was startled.
"What do you want?"
"I want to make a deal. It's time I regain control of this city and you have something I need."
"Oh?"
"The Dragon King's trust."
"Why should I help you?" quickly asked Aruella.
"Because I can get you the American Dragon." Long Feng told her.
"I'm listening..." she muttered, smiling curiously and making Long Feng grin accordingly. As soon as they finished what was needed to explain as business, the door closed and Aruella left with the agents, grinnign big with a major plan in thought.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
In a large, secret meeting room, Aruella was making an announcement to the large Lai Di agents in the room. She was dressed in clothes according to that of the Dragon King, Long Feng, and those of inhabited in the city.
"The Dragon King and the five American Dragon heroes do not trust the Lai Di. They imprisoned your leader, Long Feng. Soon they will turn on all of you, and eliminate you. Seizing power today is a matter of life and death." Aruella explained, a Lai Di agents looking down at the fact this was true. "This coup must be swift and decisive, The Dragon King and each the group of five must be taken out simultaniously. Long Feng has placed you in my command while we overthrow the government." she turned and walked in the direction of a Lai Di person who had a slight scar under his right eye. "If I sence any disloyalty, any hesitation, any weakness at all... I will snup it out." Aruella then walked past the worried looking guard. "That is all." They all walked off in unison footsteps as Aruella went up to the American Dragon dressed Saphire and Huntsdeath.
"Nice speech, Aruella! It was pretty impoetic, but also scary in a good way!" complimented Saphire, pouring Aruella some tea.
"Yeah, I thought you were gonna make that one guy pee his pants!" Huntsdeath added with a smile on his face.
"There are still a few lose ends. I need to get the American Dragon, his friends, and find out what the Council of 4 are hiding. I'll be off to visit them. Send them a tea invite." Aruella ordered from either Saph or Huntsdeath. Either way, they both nodded and Aruella was off.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
As invited casually, the four white-haired members of the Dragon government. They were on a small tea tableo n their knees, sitting accordingly and waiting for the Dragon King. But slowly, many Lai Di soldiers starting to come out and circle them.
"Why is he so late?" The main boy person asked.
"Maybe he overslept." suggested the first girl.
"Something's not right..." The second boy murmured as the Lai Di agents had a full circle around them, until Aruella came out.
"It's tea time." She declared with a grin on her face, watching the four of them.
"Aruella!" the first man said.
"You know her?" the second girl asked him.
"Yes, we'll have to catch up later. Have you met the Lai Di? They can control earth and have doublecrossed the king that they are like witches. I just love it!" Aruella told them with joy.
"Well, what are you going to do with us?" the first girl asked curiously.
"I'm glad you asked..." Aruella answered as the Lai Di agents shot their rock hands at them...
