Ooohhh, spooky. Anyway, this is a sad chapter and I bet Raffi and Ash will cry. XDD
Chapter 10: A Desperate Hour
As soon as Florence had gasped, the others turned and just stared at Zant for a little, until the stones and roots around the spring lit up and the spirit shot out of the water again to scare him off. Zant did nothing and just stared at the spirit for a while until he decided to shoot wind out without moving. This sent all four of the kids down on the ground, all but Shade unconscious, and the serpent spirit flew into the wall and vanished, except for the ball of light that was usually in its mouth. Once Zant had his left arm up and he slowly lowered the ball of light back into the water, the area suddenly turned back into twilight.
“Zant!” Shade was able to yell at the Twilight King once he got up, but he was still sitting and his hands were still on the ground. Zant’s power suddenly made him fly up in the air above the water with his hands up, as if they were in chains. A little after Zant stepped right to the edge of the cliff, the Fused Shadows flew out of Shade’s possession. Once this happened, Shade squirmed a lot while in the air and made grunting noises to get free.
“Did you honestly mean to take an ancient and withered power like this and turn it against me?” wondered Zant, just looking at the Fused Shadows that were now in front of him. He used his powers to send them just flying back, “You are a foolish traitor, Shade. Why do you defy your king?”
“My KING!? You, who do nothing but abuse the magic of your tribe? You must be joking!” spat Shade back at the evil man as he growled quietly and his teeth trembled from anger.
“How dare you!? Are you implying that my magic is… our old magic? Now THAT is a joke!” Zant quickly answered, angrily glaring at Shade. He used his powers, without moving, to now send Shade up in the air next to where Florence was and immediately back down, making the ground below her dust up. Zant turned around and a ball of red energy appeared right in front of him.
“This is the power granted to me by my god! It is the magic of the King of Twilight, and you WILL respect it!!” declared Zant angrily. Flo slowly regained conscious until she shot back to normal. Once she saw this power, she got up quickly and charged at the sphere of energy. It made her fly back with the immense power and she lost conscious once more. Shade quickly flew over to her and had his hands on her head.
“Florence… Florence…” Shade begged Flo so that she waked up, pushing her head with his now very, tiny hands. Without doing anything, Shade was pulled back up right next to Zant, on his left side.
“My Shade… did you forget? That human is one of the light dwellers who oppressed our people,” Zant told her as Shade still groaned to break free of his control on her, “No matter how much you desire otherwise, you will never be more than a shadow of their world. You cannot consort with their kind! But if we can make their world ours, Shade… light and darkness will meet at last. Our tribe will take back their realm… and sweet darkness will blot out this harsh light! And that, Shade, is why…”
Zant paused for a moment.
The tongue part of his armor that covered his mouth slowly went away.
“I need you.”
“Not just for me, but all of our people…”
“Lend me your power.”
Shade was able to see this moment for him to get out of Zant’s grip and he struggled. This was luckily able to work and he floated next to Florence again.
“So be it… I will return you to the light world, you covet!” Zant barked out at him. He used his powers for the last time at this moment on Shade to send him back over the spring where the spirit was covered in twilight. Zant raised his left hand once again and the twilight suddenly vanished as Zant controlled the spirit to fly out of the water and got straight at Shade, the ball of energy getting very close to him.
“AHH!!!!!” screamed Shade out of fear as his eyes widened to a shocking experience. Once the ball of light in the serpent’s mouth contacted with the imp, golden energy swerved around him and he vanished with the spirit. The spring was very quiet and after a while of staring, Zant turned to see that all the other 3 had been taken away with the spirit as well.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Away from the spirit cave, the ball of light appeared in the air and all four of them were on the grass. Jake, Rose, and Florence slowly regained conscious. She looked around a little, looking for Shade but was able to hear his heavy breathing when he was on her shoulders.
“Florence, hero chosen by the gods…” the water spirit slowly said, “Go to the king locked away in the tower. That king holds the key to unlocking the Huntsclan’s past and help restore Shade…”
“How are we going to get there? Only walking will take hours…” Jake muttered, looking down with dismay. Rose and Flo did the same. When it began to rain, they looked up at the sky and let their hair get stuck down by the water.
“I think we could use my Huntsboard… but it’s not as fast as it could be.” suggested Rose.
“It will have to do.” Florence quickly answered, petting Shade’s head on the crown and shedding a tear. Rose pulled out her Huntstaff and it turned into a large hover board. The three of them sat on it and it slowly made whirring noises and moved slowly. Its speed got faster once it had been going for a while, however.
“Flo… what will we do if we don’t have Shade with us?” Rose asked her in a whisper.
“Don’t say such things!” yelled in response Florence, “He could hear you…”
“You… you would go… go on without… me….” slowly answered Shade as he was still panting and holding onto his life. Florence gasped slowly and took him from her shoulders and held onto him.
After the long ride, they had gotten to the ruins of the Huntsclan Castle Grounds. The only completely standing building was a tall tower. The rest was either all crumbled or slight crumbled.
“We have to go up there. You can see the light up there.” pointed out Florence as she looked up at the top of the tower. She saw that Rose had stood on a manhole.
“Can we go through the sewer?” wondered Jake. Rose shrugged and pulled out the manhole and you could see the rushing water down there.
“We have no choice.” Flo quickly answered, putting Shade back on her back in a piggy-back position. She shot down into the manhole and splashed into the water. Rose and Jake quickly followed her.
“YUCK!” yelled Rose as the three of them were forcibly swimming farther off until they reached a long spiral staircase.
“This must be below that tower.” muttered Jake as he looked around. He was the first to get out of the water and start running. Rose and Florence got on the stone of the staircase at the same time and sped to follow him. Soon after a long run, they got to a double door, one door open a little.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
They all looked around the seemingly empty room until Florence turned around to see Shade had fallen on the ground from her shoulders. Florence was about to help Shade up, but someone put out their hand and the back of it on his shoulder. They all looked up to the figure in the black cloak.
“Please… please tell me… how do we… help cure Florence’s… bad injuries…Huntsking Adlez?” Shade asked slowly, not looking at someone different. Shade slowly put up his dark hand and Adlez took it with his two hands, “This… is the one… you need him… to save your world!” Shade had gotten used to not living in the mortal world for a while.
“That’s why… Huntsking… please… you must help Flo…” Shade stated. Adlez didn’t answer and just looked at Florence. He put his left hand out and near where her Huntsclan marking was. His marking glowed, which showed she, too, had the power of the gods.
“You don’t need anything special to remove those wounds. Only time will remove them, and with your power, the darkness will quickly be vanquished.” explained Adlez, “Florence… heroine chosen by the gods… Like you, I have been granted special powers by the gods.” He told them, holding out his left hand that glowed on the dragon mark.
“Fine… Florence… you can… you can get the mirror shards… on your own, right?” suggested Shade as he continued to pant with his life slowly vanishing. Adlez quickly and quietly gasped.
“Shade… I believe I understand now just who and what you are. Despite your mortal injuries, you act out in stead,” Adlez explained to Jake, Rose, and Flo, “These dark times are the result of our deeds, yet it is you who have reaped the penalty. Accept this now, Shade, I pass it to you…” suddenly, light energy from Adlez’s arms to Shade’s arm. He was about to close his eye as he watched Adlez, but it shot open as the light energy transferred to him. He looked at his body slowly returning back to his mortality and he floated up in front of the Huntsking.
“No! Florence! STOP HIM!” called out Shade as he slowly rose out his right hand to reach for Adlez. He didn’t listen and neither did anymore else and he slowly let go of Shade’s hand, and loosing this grip made him slowly vanish until he was completely gone. With his eyes closed, Shade slowly landed on his feet and just stared at the spot where Adlez was.
“We go, guys! Go to Snowpeak Mountain!” Shade called back at them, with his eyes closed. Once he opened them, he jumped into the air and flipped a lot sideways until he landed on Flo’s shoulders. She began to walk out with Jake and Rose, but stopped at the door when she saw Shade looking at his hand.
“Adlez… I’ve taken all that you had to give… though I did not want it.” muttered Shade as he looked at his hand and then turned away once they all slowly left.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
“I hate being a slave…” groaned Kevin.
“Yeah, it really messes with my nails.” Ash mumbled as she raised her pickaxe and looked at her hands. Kevin back-handed her and continued to hit a rock.
“I just don’t see why we have to go through all this trouble, going through every rock to find rare things.” Leah answered oddly.
“At least you don’t have to do what I do.” called over Josh as a Huntsclan member was holding him. He squeezed his chest and made him breathe, making the dust over a rock fly off with his wind powers.
“I hate you all.” Toph groaned as he was chained up and forced to move rocks with her powers.
“Silence, elf.” said a Huntsclan member.
“Why don’t they just kill us, anyway?” thought Ben out loud. He looked around at all the magical creatures who were now twilit beasts in the twilight.
“Look at the sky.” Raffi slowly said as she stopped working.
“What… what do you mean by that, Raffi?” Leah asked, oddly looking at her.
“Look at us! We’re monsters and slaves of the Huntsclan! The sky is all twilight and we haven’t heard from Shade! We’re doomed.” Raffi yelled at them, falling to her knees and pulling her arms to her face and sobbing.
“Raffi…” Ash said sadly, lending out a hand. Raffi pushed her away and continued to cry.
“It’s my entire fault that he died! I could’ve stopped it, but… he’s all gone.” muttered Raffi as she closed her eyes and just sat there. The five of them ran over to her and took her into a large embrace.
But Raffi was right.
Everything seemed impossible at that moment.
But they didn’t see what kind of a difference they could make…
… If they tried.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Umm, yeah, it’s kinda short, but I have writer’s block for this. So… yeah. GO!

The first thing I can say about this chapter is... AWWWWWWWWW. Poor Shade. You said someone was close to dying and it had to be Shade again HUH?!?! Why him?! Ughhh. You put him through so much. *cries* And me crying that chapter made me cry too. What is wrong with you? You're evil! Waaah. XD Yeeaah. That sure seemed a bit "actiony" in the beginning if I must say so myself. I still feel so bad for Shade... and... possibly Adlez. I don't know. I'm tired, do you expect me to know?! XD If I were Florence, I think I would huggle Shade to death. Then again, that'd make him worse. And I'd be a bad girlfriend. But then he would almost die. WAH. I feel bad still. Wahwahwah. *sob* Yesss sad chapter. How do you do it anyway? It's like I can violently shake someone and make them fall to the ground after reading a chapter like this! WAAAH. Or I can just do that to you. Mwahahahaha. (: Umm... yeah. Wow, there's so much I can say for this chapter. Just wowwww. And sewer water is YUCKY. Never tried it but I wouldn't want to anyway. HAAAAH. For some reason, I hope Joe comes back eventually. *pokes the... sky?* Yeeah. We're all slaves. How rude. *crosses arms* I would so care about my nails if I just got some manicure. Like a french manicure, liek tre magnifique! Ummm yeah. That's all I can say. Update before the cheesecake on my plate disappears. (:

In the past chapters, they lost the war, Madisen, if you had noticed. XD And yeeaahhh. Adlez here and gone quickly. Here we are then.
Chapter 11: Snowpeak Ruins; The First Shard!
For a while now, the group had gone northwest of the Huntsclan Ruins and been silent until they reached the beginning of Snowpeak.
“This is it.” Shade told them, looking around frozen area. It all looked cold, very cold.
“Will we survive in there?” asked Flo, looking around, “I mean we’re not wearing anything other than an extra layer of clothing.”
“I think I’m going to have to go alone until I get to the point where you could survive. That way I can just pixilate you three there.” explained Shade.
“Well… I’m not up for it, but ok.” Jake slowly said.
“Be careful.” Florence cautioned Shade. She walked over to him and kissed him on the cheek. They both smiled and laughed.
“Ok, I will. See you all soon.” said Shade, waving. He was able to pixilate himself to the bottom of the cliff of snow that they were on.
At the bottom, Shade was able to see outward an area that was all frozen water with a bunch of ice slabs on top.
“Hope this isn’t too dangerous.” muttered Shade to himself. He floated slowly on top of the first slab. He slipped a little to the end of it without moving, but was able to hop to the next one.
“Whoa, whoa!” called out Shade as he uncontrollably slipped on the ice from the second ice block to the third and continued to slip until he reached the second last ice block.
“Ok, we’re almost done here.” Shade muttered as he slid backwards for a little to get some strength in his jump and when he jumped on the last ice block, he got tackled by an ice wolf. This made him almost fall, but when he got back on the ice slab, he punched his fist into it and a large icicle shot out from under the wolf and sent him flying into the water.
“Close one. But I’m almost there!” thought Shade as he looked around and saw a spot too high for the snow to fall. He clasped his hands together and took a deep breath. Acting as if he didn’t realize that a few ice wolves and ice bats were coming after him, his eyes were closed.
“Icicle Path!” yelled Shade as he pushed his right hand out in the air and shot his eyes open. At this movement, ice shot from his palms in a path way that was shaped like steps. Once formed, he ran up them and dodged the enemies who came after him, but smashed into the icicle stairs.
“And just to make sure those dogs don’t follow…” Shade muttered, looking down. He moved his hands again and from the bottom up, the stairway slowly melted away. He was able to float from the distance where the top of the stairs were to the safe area of the cliff.
“Better go and get them.” said Shade to himself as he looked around the sky that had no snow around the area of the cliff and the temperature wasn’t extremely cold. He pixilated himself back to where he left his friends.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
“Shade hasn’t been gone long. I wonder how long this’ll take.” wondered Jake as he kicked some snow at a wall of rock for no reason.
“Here he is!” Rose said, pointing at the rematerializing Shade from pixels in the sky.
“Hey guys, I found a good spot for you to come with me. I’m not sure how much farther to the mirror shard, however.” he explained to them. Shade slowly put his hands up and they all pixilated to where Shade was only moments ago.
“Hey, look!” pointed out Florence as they all looked ahead and saw a large, leaf-less tree with a giant, white figure next to it. The huge figure was holding a fish and looking ahead, like they were. When they all got closer, it acknowledged them and turned. It was a giant, male yeti with a mask on the top of it’s head.
“Uh! Whoa ho!” bellowed the yeti, “I heard ruckus, and uh! Just humans! I not see humans much, why you up here?”
“We’re looking for an item, part of spirits.” Flo told him.
“You… on spiritual journey? You look for true self?” he asked in a totally different question. They all looked at each other oddly.
“Sure?” answered Shade. The yeti laughed heartily.
“You guys is funny!” he grabbed them all for a giant hug and quickly let go. “Oh, you look for mirror… but mirror in such faraway place. But you make such good climb, and you lucky to meet me! I found shiny mirror piece, the one you look for, uh?”
“Yeah, I’d assume so. The mirror was in fragments anyway.” Rose explained. The yeti just smiled and nodded.
“Uh! You come to house and see yourself! I got this fish, make good meal, uh. We can slide there, do like me! Watch!” the yeti man told them as he turned from them into the tree. He punched it and an icy leaf fell from the tree. Once it was down, he got on it with one foot, considering it was too big for both his feet.
“Ooh, that looks fancy and fun!” Jake said, smiling.
“And dangerous…” grumbled Rose in response. Once at a time, the four of them hit the tree and four ice leaves were on the snow. Shade was the first one to go, followed by Flo, then Jake, then Rose. They were still in a line to make sure they didn’t hit a wall.
In the start, there was a large gap that they jumped over until there was a long pathway of nothing until they reached a narrow passage. Soon after, there was a bridge ahead, two in fact. They both connected to a slab of ice in the middle and the first bridge had a gap between it and the ice slab.
“Heads up, everyone!” Shade called out from behind him as he pulled up his leaf to jump. When he was on the second bridge with the others, he dodged and sliced at a few ice bats in his way. After another short straightaway, there was a ledge that led up into a lower area full of pine trees.
“Careful, lots of trees!” Flo told everyone, noticing before Shade did. They all jumped off the cliff and landed with a big shockwave. Another long way of going was ahead until they reached a cave with a large icicle in the middle and a few ice bats flying around.
“Ok, we need to get in a long line, not the way we are now. You know, vertical!” yelled Shade to everyone. He and Flo went right of the icicle and Jake and Rose went the other way. Once out of them small cave was another long path, but it curved to the left. At the end of it, the path went narrow again and they went to their old, horizontal line.
“A few more gaps.” Florence told them.
“Look, a giant mansion! We’re here!” pointed Jake to the large, grey estate. They all jumped from where they were to the rock in the middle and then jumped to the last place. After another long place, the path turned very narrow and had a huge turn to the yeti’s castle.
“Oh, we’re finally here.” groaned Rose as she rubbed her back before they all got off their ice leaves. Once on the stone leading to the castle-like manor, the ice leaves shattered and they walked on up the large flight of stairs.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
The large red carpet rolled from the front of the mansion room and had a hole in the roof and there were a bunch of broken bits of stairs. Everyone sped across until they reached the door and entered the next room that was filled with light.
“Uh, who there?” called out a calm voice, turning to them.
“Just a few people, looking for something.” Jake said in a nervous voice. They all walked closer.
“Uh, oh you. You all cute little humans and imp. Husband told me you come. You want to look at mirror, uh?” The lady yeti asked them. They all quickly nodded, “My husband found it, but it pretty thing, uh.”
“Well, what happened with it?” wondered Rose, looking at her.
“Since I get mirror, I get sick, and then bad monsters appear… So many bad things happen since mirror.” complained the yeti woman sadly, “So, we lock bedroom on third floor where it works, uh?”
“Do you have the key?” Shade asked.
“Uh… fever almost gone, key in room marked on map. There also special gift there, uh? Take it here and I take you to room.” She handed them a map and Jake reached out to take it.
“Thanks, we’ll get it and be back soon.” Florence quickly replied. They looked toward the room to the northeast and left out of it.
“So, we need to go east from here, through a path north, and we’re there!” explained Jake as he showed the other four the map. They all nodded and Jake put it in his pants pocket. Outside, they looked around for a door near the east, but there was nothing east except a window that was losing its glass
“Here, give me back-up.” Shade cautioned as he ran to the wall and shot his hands up. The snow began to rise slowly with another one of his icy stairs to the window. Three wolf dogs charged at them and they surrounded the icicle stairs to protect it and Shade.
“Dragon’s Claw!” Jake yelled, sending his right hand up in the air as it completely covered in fire, looking like his dragon form arm. He swiped at the dog that spiraled in the air into a stone wall and died.
“Hey, let’s do a double Huntstaff attack.” suggested Rose to Florence. She just grinned and nodded. Together, they pulled out their weapons and twirled around in a dance-like way as the two dodges attacked them. At the right moment, they swung their Huntstaffs at the dogs with green laser and they died.
“Ok, I got it!” Shade called down to them and floated to the window and through it. Once everyone else was in the stone hallway, everyone sped down through and made their noises until they got to the end of the hall with a giant chest at the end. Florence stepped ahead and opened the chest to get a ball and chain!
“But wait, where’s the key?” wondered Jake as he pulled out the map and saw that there was supposed to be a door ahead. Flo didn’t listen; she just began to swing around the giant ball with the chain and smacked the stone wall ahead. It crumbled and revealed a secret room with a teal key on a pedestal.
“Well, you’re very observant, eh?” complimented Rose as she laughed. Flo shrugged and put away the huge ball and chain. After, she hoped over the giant chest and through the rubble to get the room key. They all ran again through the hall to the end and thought there’d be no way back up, until Florence got destructive again and smacked the wall hard with her ball and chain.
“Oh, I really hate you.” Jake grumbled as he awkwardly smiled at Flo and twitched. Shade and Rose were just shaking their heads and followed them once they ran over the rubble of the stone and ice stairs that Shade had.
“Oh! You safe, uh! I drink husband’s soup, feel much better, uh. So I come find you. You found key, uh! Good! Good! Bedroom in next room up two stairs. I take you.” The large lady told them. Everyone nodded and walked through the next room and up the stairs to get to the third floor bedroom.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
“Please, this way, uh.” Yeta told Florence and Rose. Shade and Jake had decided to come in once they got the mirror shard. The three of them slowly walked to the other side of the room to see the mirror shard.
“Oh, we finally found another shard!” cheered Rose silently, smiling. She turned her face stern when Yeta looked in the mirror and began to talk.
“Here… mirror. You look at it, uh…” slowly said Yeta.
“Uh… So pretty…” Yeta breathed out of happiness and enjoyment of the mirror.
“Pretty… Uh… So pretty…” But at that point… Yeta began to get a little strange as her fur turned dark black and started to twitch. She also made many ‘uh’ noises out of groaning.
“Pretty… Pretty… mirror… Lovely…” Rose and Flo stepped back to be exactly behind the yeti. Yeta, with her eyes closed, turned around and her face turned quickly. Once her eyes opened, giant red eyes awakened the evil that was sent to the female yeti from the mirror. As soon as her eyes opened, she screeched at them loudly once with her new fangs.
“NOT TAKE MIRROR!!!!”[/u]
(A/N: THIS is where she looks like the ‘Raffi in the morning’ picture for those of you who’ve seen it. And just because it looks like her, DON’T ONLY MAKE YOUR POST ABOUT IT.)
All the mirrors around the area shattered and icy winds flew into the bedroom. The winds from up around the top area were surrounding the evil Yeta and she floated into the air after a while. She turned into a giant ice mass and crashed on the floor, which surrounded the whole area in ice.
“Whoa!!” yelled Flo and Rose as the rolled out of the way from Blizzeta once she fell down. Flo pulled out her ball and chain and threw it at the ice mass. This sent her flying to the wall and she bounced around the room until Rose hit her with a green laser attack. Another of these and Blizzeta turned from a giant chunk into a ballerina-like ice block with spikes on the ‘waist’ area.
“Uh oh…” Rose muttered, seeing many tiny ice men flying around her and shot at them. Flo side-stepped and dodged it, but a few smacked into Rose and she shot against the wall. Florence quickly threw another four hits and put away her ball and chain. Blizzeta flew back and turned back into normal-looking, evil Yeta against the wall and Flo ran to Rose.
“It’s ok, now get up…” assured Flo as she patted her head and she slowly regained conscious and got up. The girls looked at Yeta to see if she was done for or had another trick up her sleeve. Yeta trilled her tongue at a medium volume and a few more times quietly as she flew up into the air slowly.
“RRRRRR!!!!” loudly trilled Yeta as ice all around her looked like mist until ten large, pattern-shaped ice blocks floated around her and a coffin-like ice structure flew around her with a light screen so she could see.
“Oh… my… God…” Together gasped Flo and Rose as they looked up, but then looked down because they realized they could see her and her ice blocks through the reflection in the floor. In a line, the icicles chased Rose and Florence, who were running together. All 10 icicles fell one after another to get them, all missing, and once in the ice, Florence pulled out her ball and chain.
“Rose, we have to get rid of these!” realized Florence as she tossed her ball on the chain to an icicle and smashed it. Rose was able to blast another one with her Huntstaff. After a little, the remaining 8 flew up and Yeta followed them from above and the icicles circled them. Quickly, they all fell, but left a gap for them to run out.
“Quick, go!” Rose yelled, pushing them both out of the way as Yeti and her ice coffin shot down in the semi-circle that was made. Flo pulled out her ball and chain again and shot it at Yeta. This made her fly diagonal up into the wall. A third of the ice coffin was gone, the top right for Yeta, so her head was exposed.
“RRRRRR!!!” trilled once more Blizzeta as the 10 giant icicles appeared around her again. Another chain of these events led to 4 icicles gone and 6 circling around Blizzeta in the air until they shot down.
“Let me.” suggested Rose to Flo. She nodded and backed away as she aimed at another exposed, icy spot on her and shot a green attack. Again, Blizzeta flew upward, but diagonal on the wall without the icicles. One final trill was yelled as 10 icicles flew around them and another event caused 7 icicles to be circling Yeti.
“Careful, I think this is the last time we need to do this…” Florence warned her partner as they ran out. At the same time, they had Huntstaffs in their hands, held like baseball bats with green laser at the end.
“SWING!” they smacked Blizzeta into the wall right under a bright light where a glass window was. On impact, she screeched loudly and swerved her head around and around. A final, loud trill sent her half-unconscious and while she was on the ice slab, she fell and the ice she was on shattered. Once this happened, the whole room turned normal again and Yeta was laying there on the floor. The large door opened and Shade and Jake walked in.
“We heard a lot, what went on?” wondered Jake. Florence and Rose just looked at each other and laughed.
“We’ll tell you later.” Flo simply answered. From what seemed as pixels of the mirror shard flew in the air above them and turned into the shining mirror fragment and slowly landed into Flo’s possession.
“Well, we have two mirror shards now, two more left, guys…” Shade muttered, floating close to the item, “Still… I feel bad about the way we treated that girl. To think the Mirror of Spirits has the power to change people like that… This world… ALL worlds… can be cruel.” Shade ended as he put the mirror shard away with his third arm. He floated a little to the side.
“What’re you up to?” asked Rose.
“Well, I can easily send us out of here. So come on… let’s get the remaining mirror shards.” Shade looked like he threw something on the floor and it made a pixel-like portal.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
“NOOOO!!!!” bellowed the giant yeti man from the beginning of the door. He sped across and smacked into the other three, pushing them off aside.
“Uh… Uh… What… What wrong with me?” weakly wondered Yeta, still not getting up. The male helped her up a little with his left hand by putting up her head like she was sitting.
“Very strange… You just dreaming, uh.” The male yeti told her.
“Yeto! Mirror you gave…” yelled Yeta, looking in the direction of where the mirror shard once was, still thinking it was precious. Yeto shook his head.
“Forget mirror, Yeta…” Yeto told her, looking down at his wife. “No. Look into eyes of Yeto… Look in reflection of Yeto’s eyes. There true beauty!” Yeta just kept staring as Yeto picked her up, “Who need mirror?”
“My love, uh!” happily called out Yeta, completely forgetting the mirror and Yeto’s love cleansing her of all evil. Yeto pulled Yeta closer for a great embrace and the room turned red as many, many hearts flew out of them before the room changed to normal. The three of them smiled at this sight and walked over to Shade.
“I’ll get you out of here. You’re sure there’s nothing else you need to do, right?” he asked them. The three of them nodded and Shade floated into the portal. When the other three stood on it, it pixilated them away up.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
YAY, YETI LOVE. Okai, please read and respond and don’t talk about only one thing, ASH.

Yaaay. I'm so happy. You totally updated-- fo sho! WAH, I was about to not reply cause you had it coming! *shakes fist* But anyway. That chapter was real actiony and long and... yaaay. It was just so great. I couldn't even explain everything because it would take days, literally. I noticed that "short but sweet" moment with Shade and Florence. Haaah. *laughs nervously* Yeeaaah. I felt like... hmmm, possibly pretty bad for that extreme moment with Yeto... and... Yeta? *hopes I got that right* So anyway. Haaah, sliding on ice must be real fun. XD The way yetis talk make me laugh-- and NO I am NOT one. *sad* WAAH. So anyway... still a pretty gewd chapter. Like I said, I really can't explain how much I liked it. So great that it's unexplainable. It's like your updates come once in a lifetime. Haaah, it's that awesome. I'm pretty sure I'll be looking forward to more-- as I've always said. So update soon, if you would please. (:

Blah, blah, blah. Yes, it’s Yeto and Yeta. Oh, and a warning, don’t ask why this one is shorter than the last one; they don’t have to travel that far, that’s why.
Chapter 12: An Adventurer’s Dream; The Temple of Time
Outside of the Snowpeak Ruins, they all looked at each other.
“Next is the ancient grove area, right? That’d be in the forest that we were when we got the first Fused Shadow.” Rose said as she looked at the map that Councilor King had given them and looked.
“I... don’t see it on the map.” muttered Jake, squinting and looking around the whole forest area.
“It’s there for sure, but I bet it’s hidden, considering its ancient.” answered Shade. Everyone else had conversations of them all agreeing until they were pixilated up into the sky and away to the forest.
“Oh great spirit, we call to thee!” called out Florence, waving her arms in an awkward way as if she was dying. The other three just stared at her oddly until the centaur spirit flew up from the spring and looked at them.
“Why have you called to me?” the centaur asked them.
“We are looking for an ancient grove somewhere here; a piece of the Mirror of Spirits is there.” Rose explained. The centaur pointed to an area behind the spring.
“There will be a large gap in the far right; that is where the ancient grove is. You should be able to find the Temple of Time at the very end.” explained the centaur. The four of them nodded and the spirit slowly vanished.
“So we have to past this cave on the right and then the gap is on the left.” repeated Shade as he pointed to the cave. After they had gotten to the gap, Shade, Flo, and Jake all looked at Rose.
“Oh, fine. I’m the one with grass powers for the remainder of the war…” she grumbled as she clapped her hands and many vines created a path for them to walk on until they got to a giant cave.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Once they were all inside, the whole area had fallen to nighttime and there were leaves everywhere. Rose saw a large place where there were no leaves and put her right hand on it.
“Reveal!” yelled Rose as the thing vanished and another cave appeared. They walked in and saw a little man playing a trumpet with an upbeat tone. Shade quickly pulled out his shining swords and slashed at him.
“WHACK!” He yelled out of shock. He giggled and jumped into the air, vanishing.
“How… odd?” muttered Shade as he shrugged slowly. The others nodded and Rose used another Reveal attack on a wall without leaves.
“Hey, I can hear the trumpet playing…” mumbled Jake as he looked around the new room. There was a path behind a vine pillar and they ran up it. Jake slowly sneaked up from behind him and breathed fire on him.
“HWACK!” screeched the little leaf boy. He giggled again and vanished.
“How many times is he gonna do that!?” Florence yelled angrily. Rose ran up in front of them and used Reveal for the last time. They jumped down from the stairs they were on and reached a place where there was an area without leaves on land and there was a large section of the room with water and many vine pillars that stuck out, but didn’t go very high.
“There he is!” Shade yelled, pointing at the little boy playing his odd trumpet.
“Got it!” Florence quickly said, pulling out her bow and an arrow. With these, she shot at him and he yelled again. Again, he giggled and vanished, but the place without leaves vanished on its own.
“That’s kinda creepy…” muttered Rose, shrugging and everyone walking through. The new area was with the trumpet boy in the middle of a stone pillar and many scary skeleton-like puppets without strings and four arms.
“Uh, there’s gotta be like 20 of them…” Jake groaned as he scratched the back of his head. He created a fire whip from his fire into his hand. He span around so he was invulnerable from any way 2-D and he ran through 5 puppets and they caught on fire.
“Umm… I go next?” thought out loud Shade as he charged his weapons with ice. With each 5 slashes of his swords, he hit his 5 puppets and they were suddenly coated in ice. After this, he put his swords away after getting the ice off the swords, and controlled the puppet monsters to shatter into many pieces of ice.
“Ooh, this sounds fancy.” inquired Florence as she giggled and pulled out a bomb with her arrows. All 5 of the other puppets were in a group, but Flo didn’t aim her bomb arrow at them. She shot at a pillar near them and it crashed on them, “Strike!”
“I want to see more of what I can do with my power…” muttered Rose as she clapped her hands and a giant circle of leaves flew up in front of her like a full circle fan. She shot it at the puppets and their heads all flew off. Once their bodies hit the floor, Rose covered them with her leaf power. Then everyone shook the pillar until the little kid fell from it.
“Wait, wait!” The kid begged, “I was just playing a game with you…”
“Ok… You know where an ancient temple is?” Shade asked the little man.
“Yes, past there. But you won’t get into the temple without this. The Skull Kid will give it to you.” Skull Kid told them, talking in third-person. He walked to a chest right next to a huge wall of leaves.
“What’s in there, a vacuum?” asked Rose. She kneeled down to get the gift Skull Kid was giving her.
“An ancient Wind Boomerang. It’s very powerful, and I hope you can make good use of it.” he hoped with them, hoping into the air and vanishing. Rose looked at the wall of leaves and pulled back her arm with the boomerang in it.
“Batter up.”
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
The four of them were in a chamber area with a spot where something was usually inside of.
“So, the Temple of Time is here. But… shouldn’t there be stairs or something?” wondered Jake as he looked around the area. The stone floor, the stone, small pedestal where something was supposed to be, and all the leaf walls.
“There ARE supposed to be stairs…” Rose slowly answered as she shoved the large boomerang into the spot and rainbow stairs went to where the north wall of leaves was. Rose pulled out the Wind Boomerang again. A large, stone encrusted cave was ahead from the stairs and they walked inside. Next, they ended up in a large, ancient, old area.
“Here we are. The Temple of Time.” Shade said, looking around. The others were also looking around the area full of amazement. Ahead there was a two-door entrance that they walked through.
“I guess we can just keep going north until we get to the mirror shard.” estimated Flo as she shrugged her shoulders. A giant hallway was the next room and they walked past it and up a small flight of stairs to a giant door. Once past it, they were in a room with pendulums, pits, and spiked traps.
“Time for some fun!” cheered Shade enthusiastically. He floated to the roof and floated to the end, waving at the others.
“Show-off.” grumbled Jake as he ran first. Rose and Flo ran right behind him. They all barely dodged a spike that flew past and ran across a pit where the spikes didn’t raise from the ground. There were two more pits of black with two spike pendulums in the pits and in between the pits, there were many spikes coming from out of the ground.
“And this is where we get chopped in half.” Rose muttered as she eyed the first pendulum.
“You know that they say… Ladies first!” Jake quickly said, pushing Flo and Rose at the right time past the pit and away from the pendulum, not landing on a spiky floor. Jake quickly followed behind them and the three of them jumped the last pit just in time.
“And here you are! Your suite is this way.” Shade joked at he floated to the door and kicked it open. They all walked into the darkness.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
As soon as everyone was past the door, it slammed shut. The room was 4 lights shining from the ceiling, but they didn’t look up. Near the lights and against the wall where a statue for each light shining with a giant left hand and a hole where their ‘stomach’ would be.
“Sweet.” muttered Shade as he floated into the statue that was closest to the door and on the left. The other three walked to the statue that Shade was in under the light and looked around. The light suddenly vanished, however.
“Wha!?” quickly and worriedly wondered Jake as everyone looked up to see a giant, giant spider that had crawled to the middle of the room. The eyelid on the middle of the spider opened up and the giant eye looked down at them. It quickly closed and crawled off to another light.
“EWW!!! NASTY!” Rose screeched. She quickly calmed down when she realized that they had to beat it.
“How do we get it down?” wondered Jake as it moved to the top right light and quickly moved to the top left one. The giant spider then moved to the bottom right light and it’s back eye opened up. Flo realized it was a weak point and shot an arrow at it. It crashed onto the floor and squirmed around.
“Hey, these things have buttons in them…” muttered Shade, smiling and about to press it. Rose also got a quick idea. She used her Wind Boomerang to move Shade from the bottom left statue into the bottom right one.
“Now press the button!!” Rose called out to him. He looked at it then up at Rose, quickly shrugged. Shade pressed the button as hard as he could and the giant arm of the statue smacked the spider. It roared and quickly got back up and crawled from the floor to the wall and then the ceiling again.
“Clever plan!” Jake complimented. Florence grinned and nodded, running to the middle of the room and aiming up to see when the monster opened its eye up. Jake ran next to Flo to help keep a look out. Rose did the same, but was more in the bottom half to quickly aim at Shade first.
“Wait, it’s doing something…” muttered Rose, glaring at it. Many eggs dropped from it and they hatched into mini spiders. Luckily, they all chased Jake, who did nothing until now. So he was just slashing with his fire whip.
“Top and left! Top and left!” Flo yelled, shooting an arrow in the eye of the monster spider. At the same time, Rose swung her giant boomerang and carried Shade to the top left, where he pressed the button hard. He liked to squish that giant bug with a giant hand. Made of stone.
“More spiders!” complained Jake after he defeated the mini spiders he had been fighting and more spiders dropped, “Stupid, ugly, tiny little…” he grumbled as his voice trailed off with his attacking. The spider ended up in the top left.
“Top left! I think this is the end!” Florence called out as she shot down the mega spider. Rose used the boomerang and Shade was able to finish with the kill! The monster squirmed with death until all of its arms went toward its gut and it exploded. Everyone crowded around and put away their weapons with triumphant faces.
“Hold on…” muttered Shade as he looked and everyone else gave odd faces. The giant eyeball was there and on top of many little spider eggs. It looked around and when all of the eggs hatched, the giant eyeball ran around with the small spiders.
“That is the strangest insect that I have ever seen.” Jake slowly answered. Flo got out of her shock from this strange display and shot an arrow at the eyeball. It squirmed slightly and made a grunting noise, but kept running around. After another hit, it was truly dead and it all died.
“Well, it may have been scary and then a G rated movie, but we beat it.” answered Rose, laughing and the mirror shard went to Flo again.
“That’s three down. Just one more, up in the heavens.” Shade said, taking the mirror shard with his third arm and taking it away.
“I’m surprised such a strong beast had it.” Flo told Shade.
“I’m not. The mirror has strange properties and seems to be very important, so I don’t want to know how it is in the heavens…” muttered Shade. He floated toward the middle and created a pixel portal. All four of them pixilated off from finishing.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Here we go. Hah, Raffi is taking forever or else I won’t update. And wow, I updated fast. But this is a pretty short chapter.

I hate thinking. MAKES ME FEEL EXTREMELY DUMB... and sort of bad, actually. Especially with common sense...ness. *scratches head* BUT OH WELL. And oh contrare, spiders aren't gross-- they're quite cute actually. I used to think too, but my arachnaphobia went away and I totally love them nowwww. Actually, I would hug those giant spiders if they weren't so violent. But wow, that thing going on inside those groves were weird. The giggling and vanishing might've been more annoying than creepy, especially how the little man would be playing tricks with you. Haaaah. And, of course, yay for the actionness. That always seems to be my most favorite partttt. Gives me ideas too, since I'm always so stupidly... repetitive. Pitooeyyy. And thinking of a third hand with an imp really scares me. Creeeepy. *shudders at the thought of Shade having something stick out from the back of his head* ..... Yeeaaah, rather not think about that. BUT WOW YAY. Tee hee, I'd love to press that button. *pushes on it* Wheee. And Jake isn't very nice to girls sometimes. *throws rocks at him* I WOULD THROW HIM OFF A CLIFF BEFORE WE EVEN GET PAST THAT PIT. DOOOOOOOHHH. Yeeaaah. UPDATE SOON.

Chapter 13: Broken Memories and the Final Mirror Shard
At the spot where they had gone up the stairs into the Temple of Time was where they had arrived after teleporting.
“I know that the last place is in the heavens… but I don’t know how we’re gonna get there.” muttered Shade as he looked at the map. Suddenly, a spot on the map appeared near the lake.
“Hey, we should go there!” Jake suggested, obviously.
“No, let’s go in the volcano.” Rose responded sarcastically.
“You know, I’m starting to get sick of you women…” grumbled Jake as Shade quickly warped them away before more annoyance happened. They appeared at the coast of the lake and saw a person a little farther off.
“Is that what was marked on the map?” Flo wondered, looking at the map and seeing that it was. The four of them decided to walk closer and get a better look, in case the person was evil.
“Hey… isn’t that Colin?” realized Jake as he looked at him with a squint. Shade did the same and quickly opened his eyes quickly.
“Yeah! Hey Colin!!!” called out Shade as he floated over, but not too far, and waved a lot. Colin looked at him oddly, and then around as if he was being called by someone else.
“You mean me?” The spirit man asked them as he looked back at them.
“Yeah, don’t fool around, it’s not like you caught amnesia or something!” Shade joked around, and then saw his confused face, “Right?” Colin just shrugged.
“I don’t remember anything… is that amnesia?” wondered Colin, scratching his head slowly. Shade just looked around the area carefully to see if there was anyone else here.
“Well, did or do you have an item of some sort? Those usually set off your memory to completely remember or remember certain things.” suggested Rose as she looked around the feet of Colin.
“I remember having… something, but I accidentally dropped it in the lake and forgot about it.” sadly explained Colin as his head hung low. Suddenly his eyes shot open and his head went up, “There was somewhere where I’d go! Before I was here, and we have to go there! In the volcano area!”
“Ok, I’ll go with Florence. Jake and Rose, you have the map. Colin, could you mark the place on their map so when they get the item they can meet us there.” explained Shade. Jake and Rose nodded after Colin marked the area. Shade looked at the place and warped the three of them off there.
“Let’s get to work then.” Jake said, taking a deep breath and running into the water. Rose did the same by doing a dive into the water. As they went to their separate parts of the lake, Jake gargled underwater and Rose got to the water’s surface with him.
“Jake, that’s a dead fish!” Rose yelled at him.
“Oh… EW!” He yelled, tossing it back into the water. They both dove back in the water and Rose saw something wooden that was on the edge of a trench. She quickly swam out to it, but wasn’t fast enough, because her movement made it push off the edge. But thinking very fast, she used her powers to send out moss from the wall and grab the wooden pole.
“My God, that was close.” breathed Rose as she got to the surface. Jake swam with her to the coast of the lake and they shook around to dry off as much as they could before they set off for the new location.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
In the giant house in the volcanic area and the spring of the phoenix, inside was Shade, Florence, Jake, Rose, Colin, a shaman, and two large rock people. Jake pulled out and slowly handed Colin the wooden pole. Once he took hold of it, the wooden statue glowed and he gasped quickly.
“What… is this!?” Colin called out as his memory was starting to shift in remembrance.
“It’s what we got from the lake that you dropped, ok?” Jake told him. Colin put it away quickly and held his head tightly, putting his head down and starting to speak with groaning.
“I… I remember something… I was confined somewhere… Yes, and I was saved by whoever was confined with me…” He began to explain to them, “And when that person set me free, they gave me this wooden statue…” Colin shot up and gasped again.
“Yes, yes, I remember that much! But that means… that person is still in trouble! Oh, what is WRONG with me!? I can’t remember where that place was!” His eyes shortened with disappointment in himself.
“I REMEMBER!!” yelled the smallest and oldest of the two rock beasts, “I thought I had seen that before somewhere… That belongs to those who have lived for a long time on this earth. “If you want to get there, it’s on the far side of the volcano, but a rockslide blocked the way long ago.”
“Don’t worry little humans! I will break it down!” the largest rock beast said as he pounded out of the house to a little farther off. Colin looked at the four of the gang with a frightened look to her.
“Don’t worry, Colin. We’ll save her and get your memory back.” Florence assured him, brushing her hand through his hair. Jake and Rose decided to stay at the house of the shaman as Shade and Florence went to the secret village.
At the area, they saw the giant rock man punching the group of rocks until he did a huge punch and it all broke down.
“There is a hidden village up ahead, small humans. The elders call it a forgotten place. Now, little human, go to the survivor and make sure that he or she is ok.” The giant rock beast told him, curling into a ball and rolling away.
“Let’s go then and meet this person.” said Shade. Flo nodded and they looked at all the area, many buildings that were torn down, but the one in the back was the least broken down. They walked past the broken sign and to the end of the houses. Florence knocked on the door and a little old lady walked out.
“I-I didn’t realize that people would get past that blockade!” the little lady said. She looked up to Florence and gasped, “Are... are you the one? The savior! It’s you, the savior! My name is Impaz. I’m the last resident of this poor village. Excuse me for asking, but are you… Shade?” she asked Shade.
“I am.” He said, blushing a little and rubbing the back of his head.
“Ah! I knew it… So then, you saved that nice boy? ... How lovely. When he was here, he’d often cheer me up by saying that you would come to help.” Impaz went on about slowly.
“We know where he is, he’s with us!” Florence told her, “You have no need to worry about him, he just wanted to see if you were ok.” This made Impaz smile.
“I have a favor to ask: would you help me return this to him? I think he always kept it close to his heart, but even so, he didn’t hesitate to part with it to protect me…” explained the little old lady as she pulled out a button that was about the size of a 10-year-old’s palm.
“Thank you… I hope it can help him.” Shade said, just holding it instead of taking it away with his third arm.
“I believe in my heart that it’s kept me safe all this time…” Impaz told them, “So please, I ask that you return it to that little boy.” Florence and Shade nodded as they slowly walked away.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Back at the area of the shaman, the rock people were gone from the house once Shade and Florence returned home. Shade continued to keep the pendant hidden until he floated in front of Colin and handed it to him. This made him gasp deeply and close his eyes.
“I… I knew you once…” Colin said to Shade as he opened his eyes, only to look down and close them again.
“Yes… This sounds and feels so familiar… water from a spring…” His vision turned all white, but he did not open his eyes just yet.
“Long ago… When we were young… you and I…” Colin continued, “You were always there… You were always beside me…” After a few seconds, Colin opened his eyes and looked at Shade, the only one in his vision.
“Shade.” Suddenly, Colin’s view of Shade was his spirit form and the whole scenery changed to where they were that one time when Shade was wandering the Spirit World at the spring. Spirit Shade smiled and realized his memory was shot back.
“This gift was meant for you. It was something I wanted to give you when I came into the mortal world once the Spirit World was turning to darkness.” Colin explained to Shade, looking at it. He laughed a little and held it out for him, “Please, Shade, take it.”
“Th… Thank you so much.” Shade said as he beamed and put the pendant over his head so that the badge part was on his chest.
“You don’t need to worry about me any longer. Whenever you return… I’ll be waiting for you.” assured the little blonde man to his great friend.
“Say Colin, do you know about anything that can take us to the heavens?” Rose asked, seeing that Shade and Colin’s ‘reunion’ Colin put his right hand’s index finger on his chin and began to think.
“Yes, I do! There’s this cave close to the waterfall and something in there, like a cannon.” said Colin as he waved good-bye, “I can tell that you’re gonna be leaving, so good luck!” Shade laughed and waved with them as they went out of the house.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
What they had found in the cave was indeed a cannon and they moved it to a better place close to the coast. It was the morning when they were ready to go into the cannon.
“Alright, let’s go!” Shade yelled as they all squished into the spot to jump into and get blasted off. Suddenly, a creepy looking bird made many odd noises as it ran over to the cannon before it blasted off with a ‘chicken head’ floating next to it.
“No more room, NO MORE ROOM!!” Jake yelled at them. But the got in and the cannon, which oddly had feet, got on its mechanical feet and walked forward a little.
“Prepare for a rough ride!” called out Flo as the cannon charged up and when it shot them up, it was so powerful that the head of it went back a little after firing. All of them yelled out as they shot very high.
“AAHHH!!!!” everyone screeched until they splashed in a slightly deep spot of water. When the bird and its ‘spare head’ landed next to them, it talked to them.
“Phew! Gracious, we made it back! Finally! Welcome adventurers! This is the sky city of the Oocca. Erm, since you came all this way… I guess I can give you a tour of the city…” explained the birdie, named Ooccoo, until… “EEEEEK!!!!”
A giant, metal covered dragon flew overhead and Ooccoo screeched loudly with pure fright. Once it flew off to another part of the floating city, another Oocca ran out from a building. They all swam over to it.
“Ooh, goodness… Brave adventurers, you won’t believe it! There’s a dragon raging outside the city walls… Ooh, I’m terribly worried about everyone… I’m going to check that shop for survivors!” Ooccoo told the four and ran off with the other Oocca to the building it came from.
“So normal dragons get to be dragons, but I still can’t?” wondered angrily Jake as they all faced north and shook off the water on their bodies. They started walking forward until a mighty wind started pushing them back a lot until the wind died down. Once they got into the north building, it was the shop the two Oocca ran off to.
“Ahh, adventurers,” Ooccoo greeted, seeing that they had entered the area, “I assume that you are here to take on that dragon?” she asked them.
“Yeah, I think so.” Florence answered. She was thinking about not only saving their city, but to get the mirror shard it was probably guarding.
“Very good! Here, you can get into the city by the door to your left.” the little Oocca told them as she moved her head in the direction. They all began to leave out that door, but Shade quickly stopped.
“Wait… There are strong winds out there, we need something to keep us on the ground.” said Shade as he remembered the winds before they entered the shop.
“Right! We do have this one pair of boots that will make you weigh many tons, but only one.” Ooccoo told them, hopping off the counter and handing them the boots, “There’s your Iron Boots, enjoy and be careful!”
“Can do.” answered Florence as she took the boots and put them away. They walked out of the door and saw a large platform not too far ahead.
“Florence, we have to stay here. We can’t be blown away, but we’ll come over once the wind dies down.” Rose told her.
“You have a good point. I’ll try my best.” Flo replied with a wide grin as she ran from one platform to another and then put on the Iron Boots. Once on, she ran down the straight line as fast as she could (it’s hard with very heavy boots) and reached the highest platform.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Once on the platform, it was an interesting place because it was all grass on it with four pillars near the corner. There were vines on the side that faced the middle of the platform.
“This must be where the dragon usually stays…” muttered Florence as she walked slowly into the middle. The clouds were forming, but it wasn’t very dark, and the wind was blowing, but it wasn’t so strong that Flo needed to wear Iron Boots. While she was walking to the middle, the metal-covered dragon flew close to the platform.
“What!?” called out Flo as she saw the dragon flying behind Florence and tried to grab her, but she moved out of the way. The dragon flew up in the middle, faced Flo, and roared loudly with it’s tongue moving around.
“I think I can get on the dragon by getting higher a little, and I can turn arrows into a grapple…” Flo mumbled to herself as she tied rope to the end of an arrow. She shot it pretty high from the bottom right tower and climbed to the top. She tied another rope onto the end of an arrow and waited for the dragon to fly back into the middle, since it had flown away from the platform after roaring.
“There you are!” she yelled as she tossed the arrow to the tail of the dragon that was dangling below it. As she hung from the rope, attached to it’s tail, she put on her Iron Boots. The large weight pulled the dragon and her down to the ground, and once she was on the ground, the struggling dragon smacked on the ground and some of it’s armor flew off.
“Alright, better do that at least once more.” whispered Flo to herself as she pulled the arrow again from the dragon’s tail and sped to where she had her previous ‘grapple’ on the bottom right pillar. As soon as Florence repeated doing this, almost all of the dragon’s armor shattered off.
“Hey, what’s it doing?” rhetorically asked Flo as she saw the dragon fly up in front of her. She was able to see an exposed, shiny gem on it’s back before it flew up. The dragon roared and then all of it’s armor was flung off. Right when this happened, thundering rain poured down and lightning would occasionally strike.
“Wait, something’s happening here…” Florence grumbled, looking around and seeing many flying plants grow and fly up very high. She just sighed and climbed up the rope to the top.
“I’m going to need a lot of rope.” the girl groaned as she had many rope arrows set up already. She shot at one plant to get on it and looked at the dragon, on the inside of the flying plant circle. Right before it shot fire at Flo, she used a rope arrow to go to the next plant, and the next plant until the dragon stopped shooting fire and stared ahead.
“My chance to attack!” Flo realized as she was directly behind the dragon. She used a rope arrow to get on it’s back and pulled out a lone arrow. Using it like a sword, she slashed and slashed at the gem on it’s back until it couldn’t fly anymore. The dragon flew down to the ground and she quickly back-flipped off the dragon’s back before it hit the ground.
“Humph, I know it’s weak point. Better keep going!” she said as she sped to her usual rope to reach the height of the flying plants and the dragon. The process of attacking the jewel on the dragon’s back was used once, but the next time Flo circled the plants, the dragon shot another barrage of fire after the first one.
“WHOA!” yelled Florence as she barely dodged being flamed and reached the back of the dragon. After a final four strikes, the dragon began to breathe fire everywhere and Florence ran to a pillar and climbed down it. The dragon continued to breathe fire everywhere and fly very high until it roared and fell slowly. Once it reached close to the floor of the platform, it blew up in death and cause the weather to return to being sunny.
“Florence!” called out Jake as he, Rose, and Shade were pixilating to the platform.
“We saw the battle from all the way over from the shop!” Rose told her, smiling and laughing. She smiled back and held out the final mirror shard. Shade floated over in front of it.
“Florence, you did it! The fourth shard!” congratulated the little imp as he beamed and grabbed the shard with his third arm, “Now we have them all!”
“And we can go after that evil man!” responded Flo.
“Yes! But, Flo…? Do you remember the words of the sages? Only the true ruler of the Twili can destroy the Mirror of Spirits,” Shade explained as he put the mirror shard away, “Zant could only break it into shards… he couldn’t utterly destroy it. That’s proof of his false kingship.”
“Yes, that’s true.” Jake said as everyone watched Shade float a little off and do his usual thing to make a pixilation portal.
“Florence, we have to hurry, to the Mirror Chamber!” Shade called out at them. They nodded and ran over. Shade pixilated away before the portal sent the other three of them off.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Yeah… HERE IT IS FINALLY. Enjoy. Oh, and a warning, the next chapter will probably be EXTREMELY short. Ok then.

No, Madisen, I meant THIS chapter will be short. I was warning in ch. 13 that THIS chapter will be short. XD And some of you will realize a bit of this is from a spoiler I’ve said earlier, but… I DIGRESS.
Chapter 14: The Madness of King Zant
After once again being shot from another cannon in the City in the Sky, the four of them had gone to the cave where they left Councilor King.
“King, are you here?” called out in question from Rose as they all walked into the cave. Deeper in was a fire and two figures sitting around it with rugged and torn clothing.
“Hello?” Jake asked the two figures. They both looked up and walked over to them slowly.
“Jake, Rose, Shade, Florence?” questioned one of the female figure as they all back out of the dark cave. They were revealed as Spud and Trixie once their faces were seen.
“H-How did you two get here? I mean, escaping the Huntsclan slave quarters AND going past the barrier?” wondered Shade as he looked at them with confusion. He looked around to see if there was anyone else nearby.
“Well, when we got out of the Huntsclan area, we were almost caught, but were able to hide in an abandoned house.” Trixie began to tell them. She began to think about it again and remember what the inside and outside looked like, as well as the area around it.
“There was another army of resistance nearby, so we followed them to the border of where the curtain of twilight was, but sadly, we couldn’t get by.” Spud continued as he looked down sorrowfully.
“But once they left, we waited and knew something, or someone would let us in… and we were right. For a day we waited and suddenly a hand pulled us in without warning. Turns out it was Councilor King.” Trixie finished.
“Really? Where is he now?” asked Flo quickly as she looked around quickly and then back at Spud.
“Well he said that he had to go off… to make sure that the Huntsking was ok. I remember he said to tell you when he was gone you need to go and fight Zant,” Spud explained, “And he wanted us to go with you.”
“So let’s go already!” taunted Trixie as she grinned. Shade just laughed in response and quickly used his warping ability. It pixilated the other five and he floated into the sky with them.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Inside the Mirror Chamber, The four of them slowly walked up to the stand where the one shard of the Mirror of Spirits was. The three large shards of the mirror flew out of Florence’s possession and attached onto the mirror, reforming it. The chains covering the large rock in the air broke and the large rock fell into the sand as the mirror shined on the rock. It made a black portal with white outlines and spiraled around, showing it was active. The others were next to Florence and looking at the reflection, but Shade was deeply looking into it.
“Some call our realm and the realm of twilight a world of shadows, but that makes it sound unpleasant.” Shade told them, just focusing on the mirror.
“The twilight there holds a serene beauty… we have seen it ourselves as the sun sets here on the world of light.” continued Shade as his eyes were small and his mouth was very quiet as he spoke.
“Bathed in that light, all people were pure and gentle…” Shade said. “But things changed once that foul power pervaded the world and changed spirit too…” his voice trailed off, but he continued to watch the reflection.
“It was all our doing…” inquired a voice of the five spirits who watched over the mirror. Shade’s eyes widened to normal as he turned around with his other friends.
“We overestimated our abilities as sages and attempted to put an end to Tudnahds’s evil magic…” The sages continued to tell them as like last time they met.
“I hope you can find it in yourself to forgive our carelessness…” The main sage told Shade. The five of them bowed in her direction.
“O Twilight Prince.” Their heads rose as Shade’s friends looked at him with shock. Shade floated a bit and looked down, his teeth in a grinding position.
“What? So… you knew?” asked Shade as he looked up at the sages and he felt grim, reminiscing about his past to his friends and the sages…
After he told them about what happened with him and Zant (ch. 2 I think of this story) when he was turned into his imp self, as he is now, he looked at his friends.
“I suppose now is also the time to let you know about who I really am.” continued Shade as he looked down at the stone below them.
“You see, I was born as a descendant of Twili. They were once actual people and not in monstrous like they are now. Once the Twili were rounded up, my grandparents had a child and were able to keep him out of the Mirror of Spirits. This child was my father.” slowly said Shade as he looked into the mirror.
“As soon as I was a spirit and my dark half was in the mortal world, I was open to being transformed into a Twili creature. For the reason that my spirit was in the light and my dark was in the mortal, they intertwined my dark and light forms.” Shade finished. He was floating near the front of the mirror with the five others just watching him. She quickly looked at Florence with a determined face on it.
“If we can just defeat Zant, the curse on me will dissolve, and we may be able to revive Adlez. Let’s go, everyone! For Adlez! For all of this world!” announced Shade. The other five slowly nodded and turned to the mirror’s reflection on the rock. The sages just watched them and moaned slowly as the floated backwards and bowed their heads until they vanished.
“Ok then, let’s go to it.” Florence said slowly. She was the first to walk on the white-lit block on the stone in front of the Mirror of Spirits. a spiritual staircase appeared with a large circle where the staircase stayed at one elevation. Jake, Rose, Spud, and Trixie walked over as Shade floated over. Flo eyed the mirror reflection sharply and it caused them to pixilate and their pixels flew into the mirror reflection in the slab of stone.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Once into the Spirit World, they landed on a shining circle just like the reflection that shined on the slab in the mortal world except instead of coated in white, they were coated in gold.
“This place has really changed…” muttered Shade slowly as he saw everything was dark, pixels flying everywhere, just like the twilight when the spirits had been corrupt in the northern part of the U.S. He just made a worried noise, however.
“What’s wrong?” Trixie asked, seeing as he was so worried. Shade just sighed and floated in front of Florence.
“Um, listen, Florence… Can I ask you one last selfish favor? Regardless of what my reasons may have been, I once abandoned this world… I left behind these spirits, Those who had followed me… Who considered me their ruler... Even now, as they remain here, suffering, the believe that help will come for this world. But if they were to see that the only help for them was a hideous little imp… Don’t you feel they’d be let down? So.. can I just hide in your shadow… for a little?” Shade asked Flo. She just smiled and nodded, but Shade looked down sorrowfully.
“I’m sorry…” He slowly said, floating into her shadow.
“Poor guy…” muttered Rose sadly as she watched where Shade was. They all exchanged sorrow faces, but then looked up and moved along. After moving ahead a little, a Twili monster was just standing there. Shade quickly came out of Flo’s shadow.
“Wait! This guy isn’t an enemy, guys!” quickly said Shade so that they wouldn’t be attacked.
“Say what?” Spud wondered oddly, watching him.
“They might look different, but… They’re inhabitants of this world… They’re my people. Zant… how could he…” groaned Shade with anger until he quickly floated into Flo’s shadow. They all looked straight ahead to the giant castle.
“In there, Zant must be in there.” pointed out Jake as he saw how evil the palace looked, even from a little far away. They ran over and hopped over the gap that was there and entered the dark area.
Inside, there was a long hallway with a giant chest at the end. They walked to it and opened it up, revealing a giant key.
“This must be the key to the throne room…” Rose murmured looking at the key in Florence’s hand. The open chest in front of them vanished and the floor under them floated up like a large platform until it reached great heights. A huge door with an even more amazing and large lock was soon in front of them.
“Ready?” Shade breathed slowly as he came out of Flo’s shadow and watched her putting the key into the lock and the lock crashing down. The door opened and shut close once they were on the other side. They walked ahead until they reached sight of the king.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
On the giant throne, Zant, without his tongue part on the helmet made his terrifying squawk as the six of them reached the area of the throne room that was at a good elevation instead of stairs.
“Zant.” slowly said Shade as he landed on his feet, looking ahead at the monster. For a moment, he was just glaring at them with a grin, seen by the mouth on his face, “Isn’t this ironic? Here we are, all thanks to the dark magic curse you placed on me!” Shade said, grinning triumphantly and the back of his hands on his hips. After another moment of staring, Zant slowly got to his feet from the throne.
“You speak of magic? Still your tongue for a moment, whelp, and I will tell you of both magic and the oppression of ages…” Zant promised as he was on his feet. He began to walk ahead and his helmet rose up and slowly went away as he said, “The people of our tribe… a tribe that mastered the arts of magic… were locked away in a secondary world like insects in a cage.” He stopped once he was right at the top of the stairs. Zant pulled his head back and his arms up like he was hugging the air.
“In the shadows we regressed, so much that we soon knew neither anger nor hatred… nor even the faintest bloom of desire.” From this position, Zant made an awkward noise like a child as he circled his head around and covered his head with his arms.
“And all of it was the fault of a useless, do-nothing royal family that had resigned itself to this miserable half-existence!” Zant yelled. The six of them just eyed him, thinking he was an insane freak.
“REOW!” yelled Zant as he jumped and turned back to normal with his arms on his side and his head up-right. He jumped up and down four times and grunted like a child each time and flailing his arms about. As he was panting and his arms were back down on his side, he continued with his speech.
“I had served and endured in that depraved household for far too long, my imprudent prince.” He slowly said. He jumped up again and called out in his shrill voice, but suddenly appeared in front of their face until he began to spin around them and land behind them, releasing his hands from around him when he was spinning.
“And why, you ask? Because I believed I would be the next to rule our people! THAT is why!!” Zant told them before he landed on the ground behind them with his right arm out, pointing to them and his left arm behind him. Zant slowly bent back with his arms up like when he first began his speech.
“But would they acknowledge me as their king? NO! And as such, I was denied the magic powers befitting our ruler.” He said, “It was then, in the thrall of hatred and despair, that I turned my eyes to the heavens… and found a god.” Zant started thrashing his arms around as a flashback occurred.
The flashback showed Zant running slowly outside on a panel inside the palace in a high area. After a little running, he slowly fell down on his feet and made very quiet noises of sorrow and threw his head down to look at the stone of the floor. He put his arms down to where his head was and continued to sob (without tears, mind you). He then pounded his fists on the ground and his head (without a helmet) and made childish grunting noises. A loud, fiery noise was heard over his head, though, and he got to his feet and looked up to see a giant ball of yellow. When the ball covered him and he vanished into it, he was looking at a face, very much the same as the evil Tudnahds’s.
“I shall house my power in you…” He told Zant.
“If there is anything that you desire, then I shall desire it, too.”
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Isn’t Zant creepy? Well, that was him acting childish for a speech, the next chapter will be the PURE ACTION.
