"We have conformation mistriss. He is living in New York City."
The woman swiveled round in her chair and gave a small sigh, the kind that suggested that she was really bored of this by now and knew she could probably have worked that one out within 5 minutes.
"Thank you for that, but New York is a big pace you know. If it's not beyond your ability, I would like to narrow down the field a bit."
The man visibly looked embarrased and turned back round to face the computer terminals. In total, there were about ten people working at the terminals, the rest were busy with other tasks around the large room. A man's voice eminated from the computer speakers situated around the office;
"SEARCHING.....LOCATION: NEW YORK CITY, AMERICA. ADDRESS: 51 REILY GARDENS, CENTRAL NEW YORK.... TARGET AQUIRED."
A smile creapt over the face of the woman in the chair as she turned to the big projector screen which displayed a satellite view of a normal looking house in a normal looking street. She stood and walked over to the screen, her footsteps echoed around the room. Next to the satellite view of the house, there was another window that displayed a 3D model of a dragon that rotated slowly. Another man, who was working at the terminal beside the screen shifted nervously and said;
"Permission to speak freely, Huntsmistriss?"
A curt nod gave him permission to continue.
"Why are we chasing this dragon halfway across the world, there are more here to deal with first. It's only one dragon."
The woman rolled her eyes upwards in exhasperation and pulled his keyboard toward her. She tapped a few commands into the computer and hit the enter key. The projector screen changed and the 3D dragon window was enlarged. A seperate window appeared and stat's began to appear. She turned back to the man who now looked worried.
"Tell me Thei, what do you see up there? I'll tell you what I see. I see a dragon that has more power than all the dragons in England put together. He is faster, smarter and stronger. He posseses a greater threat to us than any other, and he must be eliminated. But more importantly than that, he is the key to finding him..."
Another image appeared by the first, showing a bigger, fiercer looking dragon, coloured differently from the first.
A third image appeared, showing a dragon the same size as the first, but coloured red with black and green hair. The huntsmember turned round to face her.
"You mean...we are going after the evil one, the Dark Dragon, and the only American dragon as well as the British one? But there is a branch of the huntsclan in America already, I don't think they will take too kindly to us taking their target."
The woman turned back around to the screen and spoke with a hint of distaste.
"The American Huntsclan are weak and inefficient. We have been spying on them as you know, through the satellite feeds. They have let not just the dragon, but other magical creatures escape on multiple occasions. It is time somebody did something to elevate them to the high standard the Huntsclan were supposed to be. I think it's time we paid them a visit."
She turned on her heel and walked briskly to the door of the office. She pushed them open and walked into a coridoor with a single lift. She passed a keycard in front of a scanner and stepped into the lifts, gesturing for two passing members to follow her. The lift doors closed and the lift began to rise. She turned to them and said;
"We have the location of the British dragon and the American dragon. Prepair the Airships for imminant launch, we depart tonight, our destination is New York City. We must pay the american Huntsclan a visit."
The members acknowledged te command and the lift doors opened. they were in the top part of the building now, the point on the roof where the air conditioner units were rumoured to be. In fact the platform looked out onto a big hanger where multiple ships stood ready to launch. She miled to herself. The hunt was on!
"You can't escape...not from us!"
As she looked on, the computer voice sounded again;
"BOTH TARGETS AQUIRED. TARGET ONE: ENGLISH DRAGON. IDENTITY: SAM BRANCH. TARGET TWO: AMERICAN DRAGON. IDENTITY: JAKE LONG. HUNTSCLAN BASE LOCATED. ALL MEMBERS : AMBER ALERT. PREPAIR FOR AIRSHIP LAUNCH. LAUNCH COMMENCING IN 36 MINUTES AND COUNTING."
------------------------------------------------------------- I will update the next chapter in a short while. Enjoy!
Okay, this is a kinda short chapter and it sounds confusing, but all will be revealed in time.
Chapter 16: A Battle With Yourself
From his lair, the Dark Dragon watched on a magical screen as several coloured icons moved around. One of them was the English dragon, Sam. Another was the American dragon, Jake Long. The rest included the huntsclan and key other figures who knew the dragons. There was a small noise and a new icon appeared at the edge of the screen, moving slowly closer to the others. It had the legend "Huntclan - UK" next to it. He frowned. He knew about the American Huntsclan, but the British were considered the elite. They had so far managed to evade the discovery of their base, and were cold, ruthless killers who never let a target go. He drew a shuddering breath and cradled his head in his hands, stepping away from the screen and falling to his knees in the center of the room.
"I can't do this anymore...I can't!!" he whispered.
"But why not?" said the voice in his head. It wasn't any made up voice, this was the voice of the entity...the beast...that had taken control of him.
"I have given you what you wanted...POWER! You are stronger than any living being on this planet, and you have seen no fault so far. Why the sudden change of mind?"
"This is going too far...everything...my whole world has almost collapsed and it's all becouse of YOU!!! You control me, you make my decisions...you are KILLING ME!!"
The being in his mind seemed to find this amusing. It didn't care, why should it? He himself would have died without this host, and the host had wanted power.....power that he could provide in return for his survival. Everyone was a winner.
"I want you out...I don't care if you die! You can disintegrate in the air for all I care, but this is going too far, he's....."
A steely pain that seemed to hurt every part of his body exploded in his mind, as the entity raged.
"YOU WILL DO AS I SAY! THIS WILL BE DONE! AFTER THIS, I WILL HAVE NO NEED FOR YOU, AND YOU WILL BE FREE! BUT I WARN YOU NOW, TRY AND STOP ME AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR WHOLE WORLD COLLAPSE AND YOU WILL DIE PAINFULLY BEFORE THE JOB IS DONE, I WILL DESTROY YOUR SOUL AND PERMANENTLY INHABIT YOUR BODY!!"
The Dark Dragon, for all the myths of terror and untold strength that flew around his name, whimprered and curled up into a ball on the floor. The pain was unbearable. A single tear slid down his face and dropped to the floor. He wanted his life back, but he had sold it along with himself to this being. It swirled with distaste in his mind.
"Ugh...get up you pathetic lizard, there is work to do!"
With all his strength, he managed to stand.
"Good. Now, I trust there will be no more...distractions?"
The Dark Dragon shook his head, fists clenched. We walked back to the magical screen and looked at the silver/grey icon that was Sam.
"Soon...." he thought angrily.
"Soon..." -------------------------------------------------------------------- That's all for now, but tune in next time for th.......aw crap I've been watching too much TV again. Oh well, I will try to update some more soon, hope you all enjoy this chapter!
Oh, watch out for unknown entities in your mind! You have been warned!
I have coloured the entities speech in orange, it should help to recognize one character from the other.

Sam looked at the shade that stood on the front of the van. Already, he could see that this was no ordinary shade. The kind he was used to seeing were merely darkness, or shade, forced into a semi-tangible form using dark magic. This one was actually there, the whole form was complete. It looked....real....like flesh and blood.
Trixie prodded him sharply to get his attention. She had been trying for the past minute. She had seen shades before, but even she knew that this was different.
"This is bad, isn't it?" She said as they continues to stare at it, as it raised its arm ready to strike. The silvery claws gleamed and reflected the light of the street. Sam replied with falsed calmness,
"Don't worry...its not real."
The shades arm whipped downwards, the claws shattering the windscreen as though it were thin ice. Trixie tried to push herself away from it, and Spud cowered in the corner, murmering,
"This is not happening, this is not happening!"
Sam shielded his face with one arm as the glass exploded inwards, and yelled above the noise.
Jake pushed his head through the dividing curtain. He had a few cuts on his head from close quarter combat with the huntsclan. The blood trickled gently down the side of his face. He looked almost exhausted. He wiped the blood away with the side of his arm, which had also sustained bruises.
"I don't know if we can keep.....this up for much longer...." he said pausing to catch his breath. He then noticed the shade and ducked as it took another swing at them. Sam suddenly instructd trixie to take the wheel for a moment, and he reached for the small box under the chair that contained a jump lead. He leaned out of the window, transforming as he went. Blocking the shades vicious and unrelenting attacks, he managed to wind the cable around the shades waist, open the clip and plunge it into the shades flesh.
The shade screamed in pain and rage, an unearthly screech that made them all try to cover their ears. Sam sat back down, and despite everything still managed to make a joke, quoting from a film.
"You're terminated!" He jammed the other connector into the vans electric cigarette lighter. The shade went rigid as the high voltage electricity passed through its body, and discharged onto the van. Sam leaned round and looked into the back. Jake, Laoshi and Rose were still fighting the huntsclan off, but were standing on a rubber mat. He raised his voice again.
"DON'T TOUCH ANY METAL, BUT HOLD ON!!"
He slammed the brakes on. Just before the shade was thrown off the van, the huntsclan collided with the back of the van, onto the metal and got the same shock as the shade had. Sam ripped the lead out of the lighter and the shade fell to the road. The huntsclan were in a heap at the back of the van.
He murmered a few strange words under his breath and the van glowed and disappeared, rematerialising about 10 miles from where they had been. As he spoke the words and felt the power begin to drain once more, he saw it again. The place only he knew existed.
The place known only as the Spirit Plain, the source of all power. --------------------------------------------------------------- Another chapter done, and just in case anyone confuses the jump rope bit, its the cable that passes electricity from one car battery to another, not a skipping rope, LOL.
