We all agree the show should be renewed for a 3rd season? Good, now let's get back on track here, and continue our quest to save the show. We had good unity and momentom over the weekend, let's keep it up. Here to a 3rd season of American Dragon: Jake Long.

There are more than 300 sigs on the petition at the moment. I hope the picture that I've submitted on DeviantART is working. We can do this! We can save him!

Uh, he said that ONLINE petitions are usually weak; the petitions on SDS work differently. He uses old-fashioned paper-and-ink petitions. He puts templates for a sheet up the website to download, asks you to print them out and get all your friends or supporters of an SDS movement to sign it. Once you've got your signatures, you mail it to Greg, who will mail it to Disney. Regular petitions that are signed personally by actual people and mailed is a lot less informal than an online petition.

Hmm, well, I see now what Greg is doing. Anyway, we should take our signing there instead. Can we? Just asking.

Regular petitions that are signed personally by actual people and mailed is a lot less informal than an online petition. Greg has experience in these types of things. Let's give him a chance, and see what happens. I looked at his Save Kim Possible page, it is amasing, if he could have a page like that for AmDrag, that would be great. It is earlier in the process, so some miscommunication, and trying out different methods, before we settle in, it is expected. It is time to get past that. Greg do you think it is a good idea to write multiple letters to Disney Channel, one using my own name, and address. And others fake names and addresses. Good idea or not? Online petition vs SDS petition, it comes to things Disney get in the mail are more effective than things they get via email. Not that we shouldn't keep emailing them. Email are more easier to ignore. While letters you have to open, and see what it is inside.

Online petitions are a convenience, and besides I chose a very respectable petition site which has a long track record of successes.

The arguement comes down to old fashion postal mail vs emails. Postal mail are time cosuming, cost money for envelops, and stamps, but in these situation, it is probably more effective. Harder to ignore letters than emails. But like I said before, no need to stop emailing them, as well writing letters.

Man, I'm gonna have a hard time keeping up with you guys. There's like 40 things in this thread that I need to reply to. LOL
Anyway, as I'm short on time, I said online petitions don't work. We've never used them, as they have no proven track record and people can easily sign them multiple times. People are bragging here about how they've signed multiple times. If Steve Loter knows this site is here, don't you think other people at Disney also know? Online petitions lack credibility.
That's why at SDS we've used "email petitions" and "paper petitions." Besides being just different, they're also more respectable.
I never wanted to cause a rift between SDS and any of you, and I'm sorry if I came off as rude or brash in my email.

Just for a heads up you guys... Disney just announced that they are renewing The Replacements for a second season. This is just days after finding out that American Dragon won't be renewed. gahh, i don't why they'd pick this show over Jake!

That is all water under the bridge. We are united. Once again the Save Kim Possible page is amasing. If the Save Jake Long page could come close to that, we are in great shape.

Let me be frank. This isn't ABOUT what KP got, this is what ADJL is getting or could get.KP was around for several more years anyway. The idea for writting letters,e-mails ectera and doing individual contributations for the show sounds like a better idea.Let's focus on that,y'all. But wow,The Replacements got renewed over ADJL?Hmph.Hasn't even been out as long as ADJL.I have faith we can pull this off, better to have tried then never at all. This is just days after finding out that American Dragon won't be renewed. gahh, i don't why they'd pick this show over Jake! I don't know much about it. But The Replacement is a first year show. Networks have different expectations for a first season, compared to a second season. Not saying AmDrag didn't meet those expectations, but that is a factor. If the Replacement was in its second season, and got renewed for a third season, than I would be very angry at Disney Channel about that annoucement. Disney Channel would rather have AmDrag and the Replacements have 2 seasons a piece, than have AmDrag have 3 seasons, and the Replacements 1 season. Easier to rerun the shows.
