From what I've seen so far, it's about half-and-half between the two... really didn't think Palin would get that much support from the media!... besides from Fox News, maybe. :]

Oh, no. They are far different, that's the whole point of the debate! It's just most people say both sides were very convincing and they hit the strong points of what they support. I think Biden was a little more convincing, but some people think both were very good.

Palin > Biden. End of freaking story. XD
Eh, okay, so I'm a little biased because of the Alaska thing. XD
I wanted to watch that last night, but I had to do homework while it was on and the delay was on at like, midnight, so I was all like eff that. XD

Haha yeah, sometimes it's a bit s*itty. Anyway I hope that the new president would do nice things and not act in a really dumb way ^^

Palin > Biden. End of freaking story. XD Please explain? I do not want a hockey mom to be a part of running our country. That's pretty much what they do already. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because you are too young to really understand politics haha, but I still want to hear what you think. You did say you can convince anyone of anything, so try and convince me. ;)

Ash doesn't usually explain, she just does the whole "end of story" or "enough said" approach.
Although when she wants to, she can usually come up with some reasonably captivating stuff, so we'll see!! =]

So, I don't know anything more personal about Obama and McCain and all the really good things (and bad things) they've done for their state, because I do not live there. I know their views and were they stand on a couple of things, but other than that, that's pretty much it.
I'm Alaskan, you guys, however, are not. I'm not trying to sound extremely rude or anything, but pretty much (Okay, well, so more mostly) all you guys tend to hear is the downside; the Alaskan Government is corrupt, she's not good, etc, etc. From what I've seen and heard, it's been nothing good. It's not going to get any better with the Ted Stevens trial going on in D.C. But maybe I'm not seeing all of it, who knows? I'm also not going to deny the fact that the Alaskan Government is corrupt, because ... 99% of it is. Sadly.
For example, Alaska has had an idea of something for 40 years, and if I remember correctly, it had something to do with the pipeline. For 40 years, it was just an idea. She came into power and the idea became a reality. For 40 years, it was just an idea.
We have this thing called a PFD - anyone who's seen the Simpson's Movie should know what it is, only you have to live in Alaska for two years before even receiving any of it. What they said in that movie is true - the oil company pretty much pays us for living here and allowing them to destroy our land. Normally, we'd get 1000, tops. This year, we managed to get over 3,000 and all the rest of it went into another project that's been an idea for a certain amount of time. That has never happened before.
But eh, as I've said, I'm biased because she's Alaskan. Besides, even if McCain does win, it's not like her views are going to affect everything, because it has to pass through everything and all that jazz. So they think of a law, it goes through what it has to go through, and it doesn't get accepted. Just because there's an idea that they have doesn't mean that it's going to be put into affect if they win. It's the same thing with Obama; if he wins, some of his ideas will get rejected down. I've come to realize that even if she doesn't believe in what I believe in, chances are that it wouldn't affect where my beliefs are with gay marriage, abortion choices, etc. It might, but that's if, and only if, McCain wins and once the time comes. If that happens, I'll deal with my personal beliefs then.
I, personally, believe, that nobody would have said anything if it was from any other state (well, asides from Hawaii. But do we ever really hear about them on TV? XD). She's Alaskan, so she must live in an igloo, oh, she doesn't have experience like some people, so she must not be as good, OH, the Alaskan Government is corrupt, so she must be too! That's just me, but it's not like we'll ever really know what would've happened if McCain had picked someone else. What's done is done.
But who knows? *shrugs* Maybe I am too young to tell, or maybe it's because I'm biased. Heck, might even be the fact that I'm worried that someone's gonna screw Alaska over when they became the president. It's just where I stand on it, and I'm not going to waste my time anymore by convincing anyone about it. You guys don't think she'll do good, yeah, I'll think that you're wrong, but I'm not going to harass you about it unless you like, asked me to explain why.
(Wow, that's a mouthful. XD)

Yes, but it's not about where she's from, it's about what she's for. I know nothing of Alaska and it's government, so don't make the assumption I said I don't like her because she's from there because... it's not true. I dislike what she believes in, not where she's from. That makes no difference at all.
That's like saying I'm from Virginia so I must be a dumb hick who hates gays, when I'm not.

And I can't change that. That's your own personal opinions and it's something that pretty much only you can change.
I didn't mean to make that assumption, and I'm sorry if I offend you in any way about that. Most people who I talk to about her are affected by the other things, not what she stands for. I'm sorry, because I didn't even consider the fact that it's what she stands for that's a main cause to why people don't like her when I replied.

Oh, I'm not offended. I enjoy this, it's nice talking to someone who doesn't laugh in my face when I say my opinions(like my dad does). She's pro-life and she believes even if a 15 year old girl is raped by her father, the baby should live. I could get if two teenagers were sexual and the girl got pregnant and she was against abortion for that. A 15 year old girl though, raped by her father and she's against the girl getting an abortion?
I know she is Catholic, and I don't dislike her for that, but honestly? That is just plain disturbing.
Also, I have some beef with her because she issued that bill that allowed aerial hunting and a bounty on every wolf, and for the hunters to get money for it? I know animals don't have most of the same rights as humans, but aerial hunting? Killing a pack of wolves and then it's family? She just doesn't sound appealing at all.

Okay, good. I was like "Ah, crap, I don't mean to offend anyone." XD
I'm actually against what she stands for, too. That's the only thing I don't like about her. My friends thinks it's quite comical how I stand up for her, but I do not support what she stands for, at all. I get highly defensive when people ask about why she'd make a good president when asked, but nobody ever asks me about her beliefs and why that'd help, so I never really consider it. XD;
The wolf thing annoys me, because that's not right, at all. I'm against hunting, just not the substance life-style hunting where they use everything of the animal. XD
