I think having AmDrag on DVD is a great idea! And the small discussion about High Defenition: Most of the providers of AmDrag Season 1 and 2 have pretty rough quality on them, so I think that you can call it HD... But the initial recordings were off of an analog or digital signal, so the frame type might be HD or 720 but it still isn't. (Isn’t 480P digital just assume though? I’m stuck with analog...) plus the show was originally produced and done in the 480P style which is the standard for SD video (SD is Standard Definition, 480i and 480P). However there has been was to upscale SD to 720 or even the holy grail of TV… 1080P, but with Disney even being hesitant on renewing the show I dought that they would spend the extra money to do that… =( (foot note... 720 is half HD, its still better than SD (480) but is less than HD (1080))

And Swedish Drag', if you want to do your own ADJL HI-RES episodes I can do because I have Adobe After effects and it supports HD so I can convert the regula ADJL eps in cool ones But they're going to be really big. Imagine: last evening I've downloaded the teaser of Condemned 2 ( a very bloody videogame ) and it was an HD video. Video size : 1280x720. Weight: 40 mb for ... 46 seconds Oo. So imagine an entire ADJL eps in hi-res. It will be like 1 or 2 GB by episode. EDIT: After more than hour of conversion a single eps of ADJL in Hi-RES reaches 720 mb, but the quality of the image is quite nice so...

The bigger the episode, it could spell a lot of problems, I suggest you should recompress it to make it smaller. Like I always use SUPERS and sometimes MPEG Streamclip.

EDIT: After more than hour of conversion a single eps of ADJL in Hi-RES reaches 720 mb, but the quality of the image is quite nice so... My recording (which are analog) are 480i (analog is only 480i) but the file is 480p and has a size going from 1GB to 1.5GB. That’s not even HD! Where all the memory’s going is in the bight rate of the video. So it doesn’t mater if its 720 or 1080, if recorded at highest settings (about DVD quality) they wil take up a ton of space… I’ve got a 1280x800 resolution video her that last 1:45, that’s over 720P, and it only takes up 45MB’s. so like Kokusho the Evening Star said it’s also got to do with the codec.

Heh guys I use the DivX compression That's why my HD-converted eps reach only 720 MB (and originally I thought that it will reach 1 or 2 GB Oo ). Of course with MPEG you reach a huge file size.. because it's just don't compressed at all !! So you can use Internet Video Converter to convert your videos in nice quality and small vids . But if you want HD use Total Video Converter and I choose custom size EDIT: Kokusho, I can split the eps in smaller parts like 100 MB each and host it on a free hosting website so no trouble for everyone )

Anything elts would be a waste of time and ultimately useless if the base video (the one being converted) is crap to begin with. Here are three examples or bit rate differences (Each ones of a different scene...) this is done with the settings found on the ADJL episodes received from Dark Dragon 2007 this is the original rip from the DVD low bit high bit low bit high bit As you can see from this, there is some obvious compression marks showing in the recompressed video (stills) vs. the rather un-compressed original DVD-rip. For a better comparison I upscale the recompressed to its 640 x 480 pixel count and down scaled the DVD-rip to the same. What I’ve been getting after in my previous post is primarily this. If what you’re starting out with is crap (the recompressed one) then you may as well leave it. however if you have DVD quality rips then its fine to do a bit of up scaling, however the added pixel count will only cause the overall image to look blurred, much the same way it does when dynamically scaled to fit a monitor or TV. So in the end you’re better off leaving the resolution at its native and just using a very high bit rate. The files will end up about the same and will more than likely look better. (By the way I watch my DVD-rip on a 1080P rear projector TV and it looked beautiful! Who needs HD video when you have digital!)

It won’t help... the final is only as good as the beginning; that is unless it’s a vector image or a mathematical equation...
Sorry to be a downer on it but it’s true. Try up-scaling an image to be 4 times the size of its original size. The new one will be blurry and will look no better when viewed at the same resolution.

Same... there was a source that was doing TV quality but they have ceased to exist any longer (no it wasn’t the DarkDragon)
I really do wish that Disney would release it on DVD; that alone would shut me up for like ever...

No I don't. Why Clone ? If it can help I'll use it. BTW I got all the Season 1 eps in TV rip in an awesome quality ( it slows down only when I play the movie in fullscreen and I have a 19'' LCD screen ;D ). It may look good. Clone, do you think that you can increase the quality of these eps and then make 'em Hi-Res ??
