Nobody should live if they have killed another person. Your argument kind of contradicts itself. You're saying that no one should live if they've killed a person, so does that mean that the person who enforces the death penalty also deserves to die?

Yeah, that sounds off.
Nobody who kills an INNOCENT PERSON should deserve to live.

I should of voted 'Keep it, Use Torture' But I had to vote keep it the way it is.
It sure helps with the overpopulation problem. =D

How does torturing people before they die help with the population problem?

Capital punishment in general helps with overpopulation.
Torture is just for kicks.

Something like 'You may not torture anyone'. Just more descriptive.

O, look here.
"Article 1 All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. Article 2 Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty."
The two most important rights are the ones most people do not get. So why have a cry when we torture people?

Because we are not a third world country and I think we can do better than 'well because this right isn't respected let's just not use any of them' as a scoiety.

What do third world countries have to do with it? Obviously, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is not working. But we're not allowed to prolong death to criminals because some people don't like it? Not everyone has to agree with the Human Rights, they didn't write it up for the people.

If we are to become cruel and sadistic enough to actually enjoy the pain of others on a daily basis what kind of society are we? And there are people who care about these people. Knowing that your son or mother or whatever died slowly and painfully would be so cruel. The effect torture has on the people who didn't do anything wrong isn't right.

I'm not saying 'LETS TORTURE EVERY1 BECUZ ITS FUN LOL" Torture those who deserved to be tortured, whether they killed someone in God's name, or because they're mental. I hate when people sympathise for a criminal's family, honestly, you don't know them (the majority of the time) so you have no reason to get emotional over it. They're blights on our society, and they need to be gotten rid of. Most people with life sentences kill themselves anyway, so why not do it for them? I think your dream society is one where we all live equally, and all that other bulls*it.
We're not all equal, some people are better than others. So, get your head out the clouds boy, and start living reality.

All men are equal some more equal than others.( I know it doesn't make sense) Just because I don't know someone doesn't mean I shouldn't take them into consideration. I don't go up to random people and smack them over. Someone killing themselves is fine because everyone thinks ' he wanted to die no one will lose sleep over the fact they killed him'. But killing someone because some (corrupted) legal system says 'you live' and 'you die' don't make no sense. And that guy killing himself is free we have to pay money to kill someone.

'All men are equal some more equal than others' So, what you're saying, is that mankind is not equal. You can't be indecisive on something like that. They're either equal, or not equal.
And no one will lose sleep when a murderer is hung? How much money do we have to pay? What is your basis for calling the legal system corrupt?
