Yay, I’m finally working on the first part of the final fic I write… kinda. Anyway, this fic will probably kinda short and then the LAST last one will be longer. So… enjoy!
Prologue: A Story
Shade was starting to walk away from the location in question where the ‘back-up plan’ of the grand alliance of enemies occurred. Florence was still really close by, sobbing. A loud noise erupted from the spot and a large ‘explosion-like’ vision occurred and was slowly expanding.
“What!?” he wondered. Florence had already been gone into the white barrier headed across all of the Earth.
“What is going on?” Shade was confused, but the white completely covered him. He shielded his eyes for a moment and when he opened them again, he was floating in a vast, open area, full of white. A giant book showed in front of him.
“This is but one of the legends of which the people speak…”
The first page said nothing but this. The page flipped and actually had a full two pages with words and a picture. The whole looks of it all seemed like it was a really old book. The picture was of a large castle in a serene location.
“Long ago, there existed a kingdom where a golden power lay hidden.”
A little bit of this golden power could be seen at the bottom of the picture. It was a dragon that obviously looked like it would be made with three different pictures. The picture was shaped like a triangle, the head at the top with the mouth open to its tail. The bottom right part was the tail and legs of the dragon emblem and the bottom left was the body and the hands.
“It was a prosperous land blessed with green forests, tall mountains, and peace.”
Shade was so confused to why this story was being explained to him. The page turned and it was a picture of a large monster with its hand up, behind this golden power.
“But one day, a man of great evil found the golden power and took it for himself…”
The monster looked really familiar to Shade. He remembered that Huntsdad was a monster kind of like that one, but it was very distinctly different from the monster that Huntsdad was, so it couldn’t have been him.
“With its strength at his command, he spread darkness across the kingdom.”
“But then, when all hope had died, and the hour of doom seemed at hand…”
The next page was a picture of a sky blue-clothing dressed young man, holding a blue sword, was with the golden power above his head was keeping the monster back.
“… a young boy clothed in blue appeared as if from nowhere.”
The clothes the young boy had on looked really similar to Shade’s clothing, making him look down at his new clothing and then back to the story.
“Wielding the blade that froze evil in its path, he sealed the dark one away and gave the land light.”
The next page showed the young boy traveling away from the kingdom’s castle by water.
“The boy, who traveled by water to save the land, was known as the Hero of Waves.”
“The boy’s tale was passed down through generation until it became legend…”
“But then… a day came when a fell wind began to blow across the kingdom.”
The ending of the whole picture showed the monster sealed away crawling out from tall mountains past the kingdom castle on the opposite side of where the hero was traveling away to.
“The great evil that all thought had been forever sealed away by the hero… once again crept forth from the depths of the earth, eager to resume its dark designs.”
Two pictures were on the next page. The bigger one was of people bowing and praying to the golden power and the second picture was of demonic eyes looking over the flaming kingdom.
“The people believed that the Hero of Waves would again come to save them.”
“… But the hero did not appear. Faced by an onslaught of evil, the people could do nothing but appeal to the gods.”
“In their last hour, as doom drew nigh, they lay their future in the hands of fate.”
The penultimate page had no pictures.
“What became of that kingdom…? None remain who know.”
The final page had a gallant picture of the Hero of the Waves, under the sun with the sword in his right hand in the air and his open arm out in the air.
“The memory of the kingdom vanished, but its legend survived on the water’s waves.”
“On a certain island, it became customary to garb boys in sky blue when they came of age.”
“Clothes in the blue of the sky, they aspired to find heroic blades and cast down evil.”
“The elders wished only for the youths to know courage like the hero of legend…”
The book closed and vanished and Shade started to feel himself falling.
“Why was I told this!?” he called out.
“Because it will be important to you. You will be brought to a place different from your world, but you will have a great importance to be there…”
“This is now your new tale.”
And then, Shade fell unconscious.
