AI markers? Or do you mean navigation meshes? Well, apparently I managed to work it around with playing the maps with bots, Offline Practices are very limited in maps and not to mention achievements are disabled, so I use the "Create Server" & then use the console to add bots, then it's easily fixed. But as for bot name wise, I still can't figure out how to rename them.

those are actually two different things. AI markers are set for specific points of interest for the AI, such as where health and metal crates are along with intelligence and capture points. Navigation meshes just tell the AI what is and isn't possible and have been capable of spontaneous generation for some time. an old 3D engine i used to work in (vintage 2002) could generate navigation meshes with out thought however AI markers on the other hand were a pain to generate) this is mainly due to the fact that Navigation meshes (if were talking about the same ones) are used for both players and NPC's.
(important note, out side of that programing environment my only other experience with AI programmings been in RTS games)

Woo, I see. Quite limited in that though, although I wish you could also still help out on my bot names problem.

Ouch, now that hurts. Anyway, hopefully you'll find the time to figure things out. Just like I suspected at the beginning, Valve is only making things more difficult for their customers, arrogant SOBs, TF2 bot names was not all that bad for other people, but still yet the VPK file for making texturing and skinning more difficult is another!

ya, hate it how complete Google is some times. really disappoints you when you cant find what your looking for because of it.
when im back from the trip i will start looking around for you. do realize though based on the engine it may actually be difficult for them to make it easy to change something like that, after all the game is designed form the ground up as an online game, not to mention CS was originally crafted in a different engine. however the move to a more proprietary texture file containers annoying. (however as were not directly involved in the coding of the engine it perhaps could be yealding a performance benefit)

TF2's texture and skinning methods were based on CS Source, so it wasn't a problem, but when L4D came in, that's just the biggest insult ever.
Overall, you do whatever you can to figure out the bot names. There are times I'm sure you have a multiplayer that you don't have enough people and bots is the way to go to fill up those gaps. Imagine bot names like :
PwnRocket Machiniman SpyWear Scouty-2-Hotty Si_Four Snipemate RamboDaBadass Heel_Boi Hellfireworks
etc...

well you would be happy at the amount of offline TF2 i've done while i was gone. loads of fun once you figure out how to actually do it. (retarded that i need to run a 'dedicated server' in order to do LAN play however thankfully that server doesn't seem to use to many resources and ran just fine behind my active game.
as of to the bots, i have yet to really run in to something on them form the standard TF2 folder. i will be snooping around the dedicated server install though, maybe i will find something in there.

ah, time for more CS, to bad that games going to translate badly to counsels. that is unless Valves retooled the game play completely in which case everyone who likes CS now will be balling their eyes out that Valve updated the game...
makes no difference to me, still waiting for valve to prove that it made it out of kinder-garden and can count to 3.

First person shooting games on a console has already became a phenomenon since the CoD & BF series, they're already on consoles too, although I cannot tell if they receive positive reviews than their PC counterparts. So Valve is following their footstep, but I'm skeptical if such a move like this is a good idea, because consoles are only good in certain stuff.
And yes, CS GO is one hell of a kickass game, can't wait for more behind it!

The new CS game makes me quite excited as I'm getting a tad bit bored of the old gamemodes the actual CS games have. New stuff is - most of the time - good ^^

Me too, ever since I still have Condition Zero, I felt like not playing it anymore. CS Source wise is even worse, sure, there's still skirmish, but I prefer having Tour of Duty instead. I hope Global Offensive have more new feature such as what CZ offered and most importantly, try to be as good as Team Fortress 2 in terms of the fun level as well as many good game modes to play with. But unfortunately, DOTA2 will have to come first.

Kokusho, one thing that's terribly important to remember about COD, Halo ect... is that their all games taht support inaccuracies by giving the player an ample amount of health and inaccurate weapons. CS on the other hand is about pin point targeting and single round parcs to the head.
that's what i'm getting after. if Valve was to produce a version of the game that players well on counsels for a a large audience then they will have to change the feel of the game completely. now frankly, i'm down with that retooling as i'm not a fan of its current state but i can hear the CS players now balling their eyes out about the change if it occurs.

Yes, I remember COD always have unlimited health, but don't worry, I'm more towards CS as my only FPS game. Valve always deliver the goods very well.
