even their worst, L4D2 is still gold when compared to the average of gaming!

L4D2 may have been forgiven and even me also feel like forgiving them too, but the scars of the boycott and their rushed product has hurt Valve's reputation, even in one of the Destructoid's interviews with Gabe Newell, he knows that the CS GO project is going to be very difficult to work and how to maintain its value, not only in the development stage, but as well as after its release (Imagine all the DLCs), even until now, TF2 & the L4D series are still maintained and I'm sure they are having a very stressful time trying to maintain their values on their games.
Oh yeah, Clone, speaking of accurate weapons, the only weapons that I normally don't criticize but usually others like sniper fans criticize is this, sniping is not about shooting the target according to the crosshair in the scope, they prefer realism such as the laws of physics to play a role, like gravity, wind, drag, etc.. CS usually don't obey these laws very much when it comes to their sniper rifles.

i don't think that Valve needs to worry much about 'maintaining' value in any CS game as they seem to just sell them selves. the only limiter really to its value is what they limit users on customizing.
almost no shooters out right now pay attention to physics, its actually something that bugs me, also a lot of them don't pay any head to bullet travel time. however the later might be because of ping compensation that they don't do such a thing, as leading a bullet for both ping and travel time would be ridiculous on a ping any higher than 50 let alone a bouncing ping.
as of last i knew the only main stream game to have full bullet physics in it was Battlefield Bad Company 2, hopefully that has caryed over to BF3.

Let's just hope so, because despite it may sell themselves, but maintaining them after the users buy them may seem to be a tough job. Like how the boycott went, and in the end, people bust Valve wide open for thinking the 1st game is no longer supported when Valve was focusing too much on the 2nd the whole time, and yeap, it was pretty ugly. And well, let's hope CS GO will be fun including some nice physics to play with, especially the COD & BF series are awesome with their graphics while the Source is just half of it.

i do bereave Valves learned its less not not release a new game of identical stye in less than a year of its predecessor. what im referencing is there apparent fear of having to maintain the game which shouldn't be that hard as they all ready maintain 3 different versions of CS.
would love some good gun play out of the new game, the gun play in the current CS titles i don't really fancy. graphics wise its going to be built on the source engine so we have an idea what its going to look like so don't get your hopes up for Battlefield grade visuals but it can easily meat or surpass COD. (COD looks ridiculously old IMO, their still using all the old lighting tricks which really dates the engine, at least source updates its lighting engine with every game)

Well I think that Valve will be able to mantain their level, even if they will have to comfort the players and in fact thell them that something like a total overhelming like it happened with L4D2 won't happen again

I sure hope so, Source may not be as equivalent as Frostbite in BF3, but let's hope they can still deliver some beautiful graphics to please the critics. EDIT : BUT WAIT, check this sh*t OUT! You won't believe I found this! NO, it's not a Rick Roll! It's something that someone got the trailer out from the Steam page. Awesome graphics I see, a lot more improved than CS Source, but I hope this one is no trick. Remember this old one? This one has rick rolled us, a cheap old Chinese trick as well. Upon investigating behind that trailer, I found out it's just a mere outdated GoldSrc CS with new skins and weapons, nothing much and nothing so special. So let's hope the GO trailer I just pick up for you is using the real graphics as seen in the trailer and not some CS Online trickery.

WAIT A MINUTE AGAIN! It's no fakery, more gameplay videos spotted!
Yeap, as you can see, very a lot improved in terms of the graphics, a worthy successor to CS Source! Although IGN said it's no CS 2, but at least Valve still have something to deliver for the CS franchise, sorry HL fans. Anyway, I hope there's more than just the skirmish maps, let's hope the final product also comes with a campaign as well as other modes, think CZ + TF2 fuse together!

I know right, me too, but sadly, since the game is still in beta phase, not everything will be complete, particularly the Purchase Shop system (Although not classic and not the best) and the UI, but I have hopes that it'll be ok by the time there's more updates cranking out.
I'm hoping to see more gameplays, but preferably more to see game modes & campaigns rather than showing off the existing maps get major graphic makeovers.

It's beautiful and it's already viral, let's hope Valve deliver the goods, hopefully to phase out other games like Left 4 Dead & Team Fortress, not to completely cancelling support on those great games, but reduce the priority to offer new DLCs & updates when CS GO is the new & latest fashion sensation in town.

looks to be running on at-least source 2007. prabibly source 2008. i'm suspecting its running on the L4D engine as i see more similarity's in its lighting engine to that one than source 2007. (in the end it depends on the group that building it)
i don't like your talk of fazing out L4D series and TF2. do realize that Valve's not about to do that to at-least TF2. (not after making the pledge they did recently) however l4D only gets an update per year so its not like their doing much for it any ways.
now in the mean time, pleas o pleas get better gun play in CS:GO!

Speaking of priority, phasing out those 2 great games and like I said it CLEARLY, they'll reduce the focus on supporting those great games and move on to the higher priority ones. L4D1 has stopped updating after The Sacrifice and even the newer maps found in L4D2's No Mercy & Dead Air are also not getting updated for L4D1! But then again, Counter Strike Source has very less played by players right after TF2 & L4D came out, so that game has very low priority although I'm not sure if their last update (Which is the addition of Achievements) may help to boost the game's value.
And when CS:GO is onto the beta, it'll become a very high priority and not to mention it'll be as equal to DOTA 2, the dev team will pay a lot of attention on balancing for the time being. Last time TF2 was the highest and followed up by L4D2, they're already getting less attention, but only from time to time. You'll find out for sure, same case like how L4D1 & CS Source had become. I'm not saying I'll throw these great games away and focus on the new ones, all I'm saying is I'm predicting about their future. CZ became less prioritize and now it's stopped when CS Source came out, I didn't predict at first, but it all makes sense, so for TF2 & L4D2, we may never know.
