That's why I want you to be clear on what is the Director system, it is something brand new which no other FPS uses, and Valve is the 1st one to do so and it's applied in Left 4 Dead. Imagine Half Life 3 & a future Counter Strike game get to have enemies spawn at random location and your routes get changed wherever you go.

i was talking about the director AI all this time, i was talking about the original one. true i might of been pointing out something that has become normal in modern AI's.

The Director system & AI are 2 separate things. AI is the computer's behavior as well as how it responds when they look & listen at their surroundings. The Director is, well, like in Hollywood, the Director says "Bring in the zombies" or "Cut!", etc..
And I know, for today, MW2 may use advanced AI to take care of you (When you're playing) & your enemies (When teammates fight back), but the spawning system is just the same. Such as MW1 tells you know where your enemies are already, so you're used to gunhoe across the field with your gun on the enemy (Who always be in the same spot every time) and then move on. In Left 4 Dead, you can't gunhoe them when what will happen when there's nobody there instead of being always there.

odd, i only recall people ever talking about the AI one... must be people just being stupid because they were all ways referring to how Left 4 Ded changed up the spawns and when things happened.

That's because they didn't differentiate the two of them properly. So far, as I was saying, Left 4 Dead's AI is kind of lame, especially the survivors can't take on grenades and can't behave perfectly enough like humans do or like those MW1 bots.

They will improve, but only on the usage of melee weapons, I predict this is what Left 4 Dead 2 AIs will be, particularly the survivors, I got the feeling they'll retain the behavior the same way as the L4D1 survivors :
1. They will not grab grenades or use the minigun (The most obvious thing) 2. They can't save you or your teammates properly whenever you or them trapped by a Smoker or Hunter. 3. Sometimes they don't jump or climb properly, such as going through small windows as seen in the beginning of Blood Harvest & the Death Toll finale, AND the ladder climbing as seen in the No Mercy finale. 4. They're always too greedy for ammo, especially when the rescue vehicle arrives, instead of running towards the vehicles and use only pistols. They go grab some ammo instead when they're low or no ammo on their primary weapons, thus risking themselves to death and may possibly result of a deceased AI when playing during the credits AND if the player doesn't want to rescue the stubborn AI. 5. They don't crouch, thus risking you shoot an unnecessary friendly-fire & also risking the "Safety First" achievement. 6. They don't run when the Witch stares at them in anger (Before she is startled of course), we humans can ignore the Witch & run around her, but the AI doesn't, they rather stare and WALK around her, making her more angry. 7. The AI relies on you to close the Safe Room door. 8. Whenever they need to take Pain Pills, they have to stop and stand still instead of running & taking them at the same time. That one is very annoying when you have been chased down by a tank or running towards the rescue vehicle.
For MW2 & even MW1, no.1 will not count since they use grenades as well as throwing them properly, no. 3 are also working fine. But on the bright side is, the AI does perform well for not shooting friendly-fire and it can know pathfinding paths very well when humans cannot, such as a tank chase you but you have to run backwards (Computers "can" see but humans cannot unless they turn their heads & run forward away from the tank, but with the price of not able to return fire)

Effectively the AI director in MW2 would be really cool. It will bring some diversity in the game and make it mre awesome

It will be nice to combine the best of both worlds, but sadly, that's competition and rival game companies will not share their secrets. Similar to how Blizzard achieve beautiful 3D effects with only using lower system requirements in Warcraft 3 while other games could not.

the good news though about that fact, all these great games have come out of it! imagine if every game had no competition, look at how lain most modern games would be.

The game is coming out soon, I can't wait. Woo, 12GB (Originally was 16GB, double from MW1's 8GB) is going to be very big for my C drive. Well, I'm ready to take on Roach and I wonder who will be the secondary character to play as other than just only Roach. Like Soap as the primary character from the last game, Paul Jackson was the secondary character before he's KIAed.
