The 3D makes the movie even more immersive and made it totally awesome, wait not awesome, overawesome ! And yea, everything is awesome in this movie ! I'll re-watch it with my best friend in theaters on January and then maybe on February at my dad's home witha 4 meters x 3 screen with a projector and a 4000 W audio system ( Bose inside xD ). I'll get it in 3D and try to buy some glasses so this will rock again ^^

Ah..., seen the movie a couple of days ago. I was absolutely awestruck, kept me mezmerised the rest of the day... Later that day a mate in the hostel asked me what the movie was about, and I couldn't tell him because that would tear down the movie. It took me about 15 minutes to formulate the reason to this, but now its quite obvious: The story is quite plain, the turn was not even ment to be a surprise aswell as the love story (most surprising about it was there was no big fuss about the union) even the ending was obvious from the moment the guy declines to get himself repaired (trying not to spoil anything, pardon if i do) Before you attempt to decapitate me, behold the reason why this movie is so devastatingly awesome: - First in place is the reality of Pandora, a completely digital world but so livelike there was absolutely no telling the movie apart from a documentary. - Second would be the realism of the charaters: although every movie character has bloated features Avatar managed to keep it either funny or realistic. The reason why man kills all is so digsusting it just has to be true, scientist are genuinely interested in everything around them and the Na'vi are so shamanistic they don't even make a big fuss about "the union." - Finaly the story: without a seconds notice one gets sucked into the story and the life on Pandora, believing in the (afterward seemingly simplistic) way of life. Personaly, the 3D didn't really do much good in my opinion, but with or without the extra dimension. But it has been the best movie I've seen in years! And indeed the Avatar page sais there will be 2 more sequels (if the movie would be a succes, so this will happen...), can't wait tbh Hope I didn't bore the living dailight out of you. red, you hit it home on why this movie resonates so much with me. and no you didn't bore. so, just got back from the IMAX 3D showing. all i can saw is WOW. you really feel the explosions and the feeling of being there is even greater with the added detail (some may not notice it). however i had much more fun in my front row seat in a RealD3D showing where the movie was all that i could see. even after seeing it a second time (normally i start picking out all the flaws in a movie by then; even if its great) I'm still give this an Epic mark and a 10/10. i must say, i'm going to have to get a 3D TV or monitor for when this hits media. from a cretin stand point, i don't ever want to see a squeal to this movie but the other half says GIVE ME MORE! man i love Pandora

Yeah, it is such a great movie! I havn't gone my second time yet, mostly because i'm worried i'll get bored/sick of it. But however I was curious about these "3D Monitors", does this mean I do not only have to get a Blu-Ray player but also a new TV? I am reeeaaally hoping LCD will do the job because I love this movie and when I see it I want to see it in 3D, and I really can't afford a new TV now, I can when I get hired somewhere in June. I'll make approx. 700$ for three weeks if I get the job I really want. Is it possible to get one of these 3D monitors with that kind on cash?

I'll make approx. 700$ for three weeks if I get the job I really want. Is it possible to get one of these 3D monitors with that kind on cash? if your TV is a REAL 120Hz TV then yes, you will just need to buy shutter glasses and a BR player that supports 3D play back. but if your TV isn't a REAL 120Hz TV then your going to need a new one... by REAL i mean that it can physically show 120 frames per-second, not throw in a black screen every 1/2 a frame. (this is a common p[ractis in most 120Hz TV's and thus they will not be able to do it) the reason for the 120Hz is for that it can run on a shutter based system. the glasses turn on and off a frame for the eye and are synced up to the TV. for that each eye gets the correct frame rather than seeing both the left and the right. now, weather or not the players will support the color glasses method i do not know. b7ut that would allow for play back on more TV's, however the color will be distorted and these systems don't work for about 20% of the USA population. the movie theaters use a passive polarization process; utilizing a total of 4 polarized lenses (two on the projection and two for your eyes) to filter it for that each eye gets a separate image. this is the way that I'm planning on setting up my 3D projection system. all ready working out all the stuff for it. now i just need the money

i doub that he would ever recommend people to watch that epic of movie on a small TV, but im still lissining to the interview. (that servers hardly working for me, only got audio now)
as of to your idea on buying a 3D tv, its probably goign to be hard to get a 3D tv in a small form factor, and for a reasonable price... but i don't know the current TV situation... first TV my famly bought in the last 2o years was a 28" LCD this year for my dorm...
great... the stream stopped in total... i'm goign to have to find that on a US server.

I have it all figured out. I'll work this entire summer, see what kind of money I get and if I still don't have enough to buy a 37" 3D TV I will simply sell my current 40" TV and but a 60" 3D TV. CASE SOLVED!
