Well its not been too long since the game based off the book Metro 2033 was released. This game is really creepy and awesome. It really feels like you're down in the metro tunnels of Russia, fighting mutants and other bizarre things.

The game looks really neat and since I know it's taken from a book I have in mind the fact of buying it. For the game, it really interests me and I might buy it someday ^^

Ok so I managed to install Metro 2033 and play it and I can sum it up with one word : AWESOME ! The graphics are neat, the NPC's interact quite well with eachother, and the also discuss about random stuff ( wondering about tha fact of an eventual coming back tothe surface, the attacks of criminals and other stuff ). The roleplay part is also quite well set in the game as you can sue your bullets ( yes it's the money of the game ) to buy new weapons, ammo, gas masks, filters and other things. SO far I reached the second chapter of the game and I play in DirectX 9 but later this noon I'll try to switch to DirectX 10 as my videocardcan't handle DirectX 11. So well folks that's all for the moment but honestly if you loved S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Shadow of Chernobyl, you will love that !

OK so I played it some more ( sorry about double posting BTW >.> ) and I ahve to say that it's truly and epic piece of meat . Now I'm playing it in DirectX 10, 1024 x 768 and High setting and I just have no lags at all. The atmosphere is stunning ( I just reached the surface of Moscow ) and the sound is just awesome. There is pretty much no music at all and the atmosphere takes in a huge sense of tension comparable with the one I felt with Dead Soace when I first played the game. When you go around in Metro 2033 you hear the wind going trough the broken windows, the noises of moving broken doors and also the roars of the creatures around and occasionally also the voices Artyom hears ("You don't understand" ) who increase even the level of tension and almost paranoia in the game. To increase the level of stress since you wear almost every time your gas mask you hear almost peramenently your character breathing who adds a new sound effect that can bring up some stress after a while. Another point to pull forward is thefact that the ammo is quite rare. I have like 3 weapons now ( one .357 Magnum, a home-made light assault rifle with Sten-like magazine and a double-barreled shotgun, and I just have like 130 bullets for all these guns. You can also forget the regular objective tab that usually pops out in many FPS or RPG games. Here Artyom has to take out his lighter and the paper sheet of the map and then turn on the lighter and then you can have a look at the map itself. Also your flashlight needs to be recharged sometimes as you need quite often ( environment is quite dark, even outside of the subway, due to massive clouds ). To survive well you have to be also extremly careful about traps and broken glass on the ground as example, as the noise you'll make will alert your enemies. So well to conclude I'll say that MEtro 2033 is really a great game that if you have the money and a quite powerful PC is worth its price =D
