Well With the sequel the the computer killing game coming out shortly, a Demo has arrived running on the new game engine. while the Demo is only DX9 it still looks better than original Crysis and runs better.after i got Crysis 1 out and played it i proved my self wrong on this one
so any one else playing the Demo and thinking of buyingit? don't buy it, don't give money to a croup developer that doesn't give a parc about its users

I've not played the demo yet ( because I'm way from my PC ) but it looks promising. There's been rumors though, that Dx11 might not be implemented immediately in the game and that it will be added later with a DLC or a patch. Also some guys noticed that the global graphic quality got turned down compared to the first Crysis game, which lead many of the guys i saw to cancle their preorder and for the ones who dididn't preorder it to simply not buy it after all. IDK if its just a rumor or something, but Crytek should react fast and clarify that otherwise it will f-ck up the sells of the game, and it's never a good thing.

really some are claiming that the quality went down? i know the waters parc this time around but the rest of it seemed to be higher. (at least when comparing DX9 to DX9, i should play some Crysis 1 again to get a better feel)

I played it and I have to sya that i was very disappointed : no ability to configure deeply hte graphics, no Dx10 or Dx11, console-ish aim assist and stuff and much more delusional stuff. IDK how you feel that, but to me it sounds like Crysis 2 is oging tobe a slap in the face of everyone :C

well now that i've played the REAL Crysis (not just the bemo) i can see what people were talking about about graphics going down (apparently theres a decent visual difference from Crysis 1 demo to Crysis 1) on the aim assist i still have yet to get that to work in Crysis 2 Demo/beta. i think one thing to remember is that the Demo for Crysis 2 was never supposed to release for PC and only showed up 2 weeks after the full game was leaked. so this may be actually a counsel port were playing in the demo. goign to have to wait for the full game to launch before a final verdict on graphics. and stuff and much more delusional stuff can you elaborate on the "stuff and "delusional stuff" pleas. wondering what your getting after there.

ok, Nvidia has removed its claim about Crysis 2 being DX11, but EA's stating that it will be added in a patch some time in Q2. im mixed on the visuals of the game. at least the game plays still good. to bad it looks worse than manila Crysis 1 and crap loads worse that CCC mod crysis 1...

Clone you said my exact thoughts. To me Crysis 2 is extremely meh, and way too heavily consolized - and that's a shame.

all that's left for me to hope for is that some magical patch will release or that the community of moders fixes the game... going to take for ****ing ever either which way though...

Finished Crysis 2, got me how any selfe respecting Gaming review mag can give this game a 9.0 or higher. the story line was ok at best, there was to much flip flopping of parc and the finally was nothing more than an over glorified level... no bosses at all!
Score with out Visuals: 7.5/10 Score with visuals: 6.5/10 Crysis 1 had way cooler set peaces and a destructible environment that could change an engagement where Crysis 2 was entirely on rails even when you didn't know. the visuals for Crysis 1 were so good it took a super computer to enjoy them but Crysis 2 was a step back in visuals form the first and the game play values that made the first one so intriguing.
time to uninstall till some DX patches show up for the game. (that's all they can do to increase my score for this lack luster game)

Well I played it and my beliefs are right and even ave worsened. The framerate is locked up, and Crytek doesn't seems to want to unlock this for PC users. Plus when I see the crazy amount of bugs some people get ( like there : www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjNj6XimhaA&feature=youtu.be ), it makes me even less willing ot buy it. And as i heard form the forums, the PC multiplayer of Crysis 2 is fastly dying, because of many cheaters, bugs and the heavy consolization.

ya this games a classic example of the PC version gettign stiffed by counsel focus.
just to let you know, you can unlock the frame rate with a simple autoexe.cfg command. "sys_MaxFPS = 240" (set to what ever value you want)
even with all the autoexe messing around i've done i have yet to make the game look good like it dose in the "screen caps" they were showing before the game launched.
also Patch 1.4 is out, noting special out side of more MP tweaking/fixing. still waiting on that DX and texture patch.

Thanks for the info. I was kinda pissed to be stuck at 60 fps constantly when my video card can certanly go way upper >.> . And yeah that Dx11 patch is going to be the next vaporware thing after Duke Nukem Forever. So far I'm replaying it with cheats and stuff just to unlock all the nanosuit enhancements and stuff and say "I beated this piece of s****"

im not even proud of the fact that i beat it. the game was a bor and easy as hell to beat on normal... extra hard will practicably be as hard as normal was in Crysis 1. found a good comparison of how inferior Crysis 2 is to Crysis 1. gamingbolt.com/the-truth-crysis-2-pc-vs-crysis-pc
