Whooo! Chapter 13! It's a precident! I love it!
Random BAGEL! YAY
Ahem....here's chapter 13 for your enjoyment.
*goes off to watch Bo-bobo Bo Bo-bobo* Chapter XIII: Virtual-ity “Mazido…” A faint voice called out. Mazido could feel his grogginess as he realized he was face up on his back, staring at the cloud-dotted blue sky. “Oy, Mazido,” the voice said again, but louder. Mazido noticed his vision was blurry, and blinked a few times. Then he went to get to his feet. When he did, he saw that he was standing in the middle of a fenced-off stone path, with lanterns hanging off several lampposts on one of the fences. “Hey there,” Frank waved at him. Mazido looked at Frank, “Um, you are Frank, right?” Frank smirked, his long hair shifting slightly in the slight breeze, “ Of course it’s me, you dummy.” Mazido, looking around him, was even more confused than before. “But where are we?” Frank sighed, “You know how Erinul and the others said that we’d been chosen for a mission and all that? Well, they forgot to mention that they put us in the weirdest place to look for information.” Mazido asked, “And that is…?” “So you’re saying we’re in a video game?” Mazido said. Frank had been explaining the situation to Mazido for the past ten minutes, trying to get him to comprehend his predicament. “Yup.” Mazido put a finger to his lips before saying, “And where are our bodies? Surely they aren’t-” Frank cut Mazido off with a motion of his hands. “Don’t worry,” Frank assured Mazido, “our bodies are still back at Kakushichuu. We may be in this game, but our physical forms are still in the real world. But since this is virtual reality, we have all five of our senses ‘plugged’ into this game. Sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch. We can basically interact with this game just like we can with real life.” Frank sighed as he got off the fence, “At any rate, we better start going.” Mazido looked at him and said, “And what do we do?” Frank smirked at Mazido’s clueless-ness, “Well, this is a game, remember? And you know what to do with games, right?” Mazido, surprisingly catching on to Frank’s meaning, smiled back, “Time to ‘get into the game’, huh?” Frank nodded. And with that, they began their first steps into the video game. Meanwhile, back in the real world… “How are their vitals, doctor?” Erinul asked, with Zais and Lineza behind him. Dr. Walkins, his werewolf eyes pacing the computer console up and down, left and right, occasionally turning a knob or pressing a button, replied, “So far, they’re all in the green…but…” Erinul noticed this pause and asked, “You have some concern about your son, don’t you?” Dr. Walkins put his claws in his lap, turned around in his office chair, and slowly nodded, “Y-yes, I do…I know I lied to him for almost five years, as well as my wife and my daughter. I just….” He paused. “I just wish…I was never bitten, you know? Ever since that accident five years ago, I’ve had the same, reoccurring dream.” Dr. Walkins fell silent as he replayed the events of that accident in his mind like a projected movie. The car accident that left three people dead, him crawling out of the wreckage, the strange man standing over him, the unbearable pain in his right arm, and him running through the woods before seeing what he had become with the reflection of a pond. A tear fell from Dr. Walkins’ eye before he wiped his face off with his lab coat’s sleeve. “Ah, why am I getting teary-eyed over something that happened in the past? Heh…it’s best to just forget those memories.” Erinul, feeling the doctor’s sadness for a fleeting moment, sighed and said, “Whatever happened in the past was not your fault.” Dr. Walkins smiled slightly, “…You’re right, Erinul. Thank you.” “Anyway, do we know the time difference between the game and this world?” Zais asked. Dr. Walkins brushed the fur out of his left eye and said, “According to my research, the time in the game should be about three hours in real life time. So if I’m right, and according to the fake advertisement for that camp thing, we have about four real life weeks to figure out what this game has to deal with the dragons awakening in the world. That gives Frank and Mazido…about two hundred twenty-four in-game days before we have to send them back home.” Erinul nodded, “Very well.” Erinul stared into the adjacent rooms below; Mazido in the room on the left, Frank on the right. He looked at the two and thought to himself, I just hope those two come back from their investigation in one piece. I don’t think Dr. Walkins could take any more grief. Losing his ability to see his family to a curse is enough. Back in the game… “O…Okay…I think….I’m about ready……to give up…” Frank said through labored breaths. For what seemed like hours, Frank and Mazido had been going at it, attaining levels to quickly explore more advanced and dangerous areas. So far, they had managed to get close to level twenty out of the game’s seventy levels, and Frank was almost about to call it for the day. Mazido, however, showed no signs of stopping, still doing quests and killing monsters with his two-handed sword. “How…how is it that you dragons…can still keep going?” Mazido withdrew his sword from a skeleton’s skull and said, “Unlike humans, we dragons have much more stamina and endurance. We can go without sleep for up to one week, and even then, it only takes about eight hours to fully replenish our energy.” He walked up next to Frank and said, “At any rate, you just stay back. Since we’re in a group, according to you, we should both get experience points, despite them being halved. Just sit back, and heal me whenever I get low on health, okay?” Frank sighed and said, “Fine. Just remember that Warriors rarely get low on health. But if you do, I’ll make sure to heal you. Just another feature of the Paladins, huh?” Mazido smiled, “Well, you are the righteous type, so it’s no wonder you became one.” Frank laughed weakly, and stood back up on his feet. “C’mon, I think the next area is called the Forerunner’s Forest. Let’s turn in these quests, get to the class trainers in Goldenmana City, and head there.” Mazido nodded and, with Frank in tow, walked north towards Goldenmana. Unbeknownst to them, a mysterious man dressed in a black robe and silver jewelry on it was watching them from afar. “Hm. So, that boy is HIS son?” The man watched the boy with the two-handed mace laugh with the other boy wielding the two-handed sword, and said to himself, “I’ll keep a tab on him. When he is alone, I will do the same thing I did to his father. I want him to suffer; to see him squirm.” The man chuckled to himself as he watched the two from hills, trees, and eventually the city walls. --- Name the game that the game in this story is inspired by, and I'll give you a spoiler or two for a chapter that I am still planning out. At any rate, I'm off to watch more Bo x7 (Bo-bobo Bo Bo-bobo) Tahtah for now!

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I hope that you are well refreshed from your long nap, and that you wish to start your day with a small read as you drink coffee and listen to the morning news.
Yeah, I'm trying to act all formal and stuff. I'm actually pretty good at it. Especially when I'm selling items and stuff to people on World of Warcraft. I sound like some rich man who has nothing better to do than raid Karazhan or do some Battleground matches, or even do a few Arena matches with my older brother to earn our way to Season Two and eventually Season Three armor.
But some of you have a life, and don't play World of Warcraft. So I won't hold that against you.
But enough dawdling. Come, relax yourself by humbly reading Chapter XIV. Let the words embrace you in the continuing epic tale of a boy and a dragon as they search for the answers they seek. Chapter XIV: Surprise “So, here we are again.” Frank said with a sigh of relief. As they paused at the gate of the city, they took in the marvelous shades and hues of the buildings reflecting the light from the sun off of their surfaces. The reds and golden yellows and whites of the city that were hit with the sunlight brought out the colors more in terms of hue and contrast. Frank smiled slightly as the wind blew through the town slightly, his hair blowing in the same direction as the wind. --- “No way! Are you sure!?” Said an in-game text message from one player to another. “I’m positive. It’s HIM!” the reply said. “I can’t believe it’s almost been about two weeks since we last saw him. I thought he went somewhere.” The first player messaged back. Another reply, this time it said: “At any rate, meet me at the Auctioneer, and we’ll go see him and ask him where he’s been.” --- “So, why are we here again?” Mazido asked. They had just finished earning their new spells and abilities, and were now standing at the Auctioneer’s House, browsing through various sets of armors and weapons, each with different looks, weights, and other statistics. Frank sighed, “Our armor and weapons are basically worthless at our level. So, I’m taking this time to buy us some new gear and weapons.” Mazido nodded, “Makes sense.” Mazido looked outside at the blue, cloud-less sky and said, “You know, I still find it hard to believe that we’re inside of a virtual world.” Frank nodded as he took a metal two-handed mace, a faint yellow-ish aura surrounding the mace like it was made from light, into his hands, “Yeah…” He looked at his reflection in the mace and saw his face, remembering his face looked just like his father’s. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a voice called out, “FRANK!!!” Frank turned around and saw two people, one wearing an intricately designed Platebody set, holding a sword almost as long as him in one hand with a shield amazingly detailed in the other; the other person was garbed in a fully tailored, blue-colored robe set, holding a small staff in one hand, a book latched onto his belt, standing at the doorway. “My god….it really is you!” One of them said. It took Frank’s brain a quarter of a minute to figure out who the two people were. When he realized it, he exclaimed, “Oh man! Todd! Jason!” He walked to his friends and hugged them both. “Man, I haven’t seen you guys in ages!” Todd smirked, “Dude, where have you been? It's been almost two weeks since we last saw you.” Frank said, “I know…I’ve been through so much in that amount of time and-” Mazido cut in with a loud clearing-of-the-throat. “Frank, despite what Erinul said, I think we should let these two know what’s been going on.” Frank looked at Mazido, who continued, “If we have to fight in a war, we’re going to have need of as many allies as we can get.” Frank sighed and, reluctantly, said, “Alright, Mazi.” He turned to his two friends, both of whom had a 'what?' kind of look on their faces, and said, “You two better sit down. This is going to be a long story.” --- “So you’re saying that Mazido here is the same dragon that we met in the cave?” Todd asked a half an hour later. Mazido and Frank both nodded. “And someone is trying to reawaken the other dragons located in various places around the world?” Jason said as he placed his right hand on his right knee. Frank nodded again. Todd and Jason looked at each other, both of them trying to grasp the situation, before returning their gaze back to Frank and Mazido. “So, you’re trying to see what connection this game has to the dragons reawakening around the world?” Frank nodded, “Yeah, pretty much.” Todd, using his staff as a support, rose to his feet, “Well, let’s get started.” Frank looked at Todd quizzically, who replied, “Well, you have to explore almost every area in the game, right? Isn't that what you told us you were trying to do?” Frank and Mazido both nodded. Jason rose to his feet as well, sheathing his sword and buckling his shield to his back, and said with a grin, “Then let us help you. We’ve already hit the highest level in the game, so we can help you get levels faster.” Frank, a slight frown on his face, asked, " Are you sure you two are up to it? I'll only warn you that once you start helping us, you're going to be involved a lot more than just this. Todd and Jason both smirked and said in unison, "We can handle anything." Frank, noticing their determination....or their stubborness, smiled, “You two.....” Todd smiled back, “Just remember. You owe us a pizza when you get back to the real world.” Everyone laughed for a few seconds, Mazido thought in his mind, Hopefully, we will be able to laugh like this again if we survive this. --- “So, the little pup has friends, eh?” The man said as he watched the four kids begin to talk once again. The black-hooded man was in a crouched position, and slightly hidden by one of the small tower posts in the city. The man smiled an evil grin, his pointed teeth emphasizing his grin. “I can’t wait to sink my teeth into his flesh,” he said as his mouth began to water, his mouth slightly open as a small amount of saliva dripped from the open spaces in his fangs, “It’s been far too long since I ate.” He began to chuckle to himself before he said, "And that guy better do his end of the job, or I swear that he'll be my next target." As he finished his sentence, he faded back into the shadows of the city and continued to stalk his prey. --- And there you have it, ladies and gents. Another smashing chapter that has been added for your viewing leisure. I hope you will partake in reading Chapter XV when I get the chance to add it to this story.

Man, I feel so exhausted. >_>
I have been feeling soooo tired lately, I haven't been able to work on my story much. I did get this chapter done, but now I'm not sure if I can continue this story. I think I shall go on a slight hiatus, about 3-6 days, and then I'll continue to write. In the meantime, enjoy this next chapter. It's a bit longer than the other chapters, but I put my heart and soul into writing it. So please read it.
And Raffi, if you're reading this, I look foward towards your next addition to your story as well.
Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go passout over here on my sofa. *passes out from exhaustion*
Zzzzzz.... ---------- Chapter XV: Events Exactly one week had passed in the real world, but in the game world, fifty-six days had passed. In the game, time moved at a faster pace from the rest of the world. Of course, this was what the game’s programmers aimed for. They wanted players to think about how long it feels in game to experience the fun of the game. But we don’t have that game in real life. Closest thing to it is World of Warcraft, but we’re not here to read about it, right?Anyways…Every day, Todd and Jason would quickly finish their homework, despite the fact that they would skip obvious questions or answer them wrong. Of course, they would recheck their homework after they helped Frank and Mazido getting to a higher level. Although they couldn’t actually believe it, they truly knew that Frank was in that game, and his body was somewhere in the real world, temporarily disconnected with the outside world. As Todd and Jason held their pencils on the last questions of their math homework, they kept wondering what in the world they had gotten themselves into. In the week that Frank and Mazido had been in the game, they had been leveling like crazy. Todd and Jason wiped whole dungeons clean, while Frank either healed, or helped out with the monsters along with Mazido. Quests were not really quests at all to them. More like just small trips, to either kill a certain number of creatures or find this item or destroy this or locate this person or some other random job to do. Of course, Frank and Mazido were coming close to hitting level sixty, and with each level, their abilities became more powerful, their muscles increasing in bulk and strength, their minds becoming more sharper and alert. Of course, this was just a game, but the added strength and agility, sharper intellect and spirit, as well as higher stamina and focus, were just about overwhelming to the two. Pretty soon, they began to do more quests on their own, making sure to keep in constant contact in case something went wrong. Of course, nothing awful really happens unless you’re with your friends… --- “So, what’s on our list for today, Todd?” Frank asked as he picked up his two handed mace. Mazido, sitting on a nearby bench, leaned lazily on his massive two-handed axe, his eyes closed as if he was asleep. Todd pondered for a minute before saying, “Hey, I have an idea.” Todd looked at Jason, who nodded back, “There’s this new event that is coming out tonight at midnight. It’s called ‘Festival of the Werewolf’.” Frank immediately froze on the spot, his face showing a sign of shock, remembering his father in his transformed state. Jason looked at Frank, “Dude, Frank. Are you okay?” Frank blinked his eyes, shook off his slight shock, and said with a sigh, “Y-yeah, I’m fine. Just thinking of something, that’s all.” Todd and Jason looked at Frank with a slightly worried glance, but didn’t want to push the question. Jason cleared his throat and said, “Anyway, this event is brand new. No one has ever experienced it, and it’s been rumored that the player that finishes the objective of the festival first will earn a special item!” Frank looked at Mazido, who lazily looked at Frank out of the corner of his right eye, and said, “I don’t know. If I’m right, we only have three weeks left before we have to go back to the real world-”. Frank was cut off by Todd, who shook his head, “Frank, Frank, Frank. Listen, sure this mission is important, but there’s no harm in having a day of fun. C’mon, we’ll even tag along with you! It’ll be fun!” After ten minutes of persuasion, Frank finally gave in. As they set off for the entrance to the gates to Goldenmana City, Mazido asked, “So where is this Festival being held, anyway?” Todd said, “You know where the Ruins of Ar’kalan are, right?” Frank and Mazido both thought for a second, before Mazido replied, “Oh, you mean that ruined city that has that hidden city beneath the ruins, right?” Todd nodded in response. Frank then asked, “So, what time is this event again?” Jason said, “Hold on. Let me check the announcement letter.” Jason’s character stood completely still for half a minute before Jason replied, “According to the announcement, it starts in….thirty minutes.” Frank then said, “What? Then let’s get going!” Jason nodded and said, “Then follow me. We’ll have to go through the Anastari Plaguelands to get there, so stick close to us so that we don’t get lost.” Jason broke out into a run, with Todd, Frank, and Mazido running behind him. Only a few minutes later, however, Frank suddenly felt pain erupt all over his body. Mazido looked behind him and saw Frank fall to the ground. “Frank!” Mazido yelled, running back to him.” --- Meanwhile, back in the real world… As Erinul entered the room, he noticed that Dr. Walkins was asleep, his body leaned back in his chair. Erinul smiled slightly as he saw Dr. Walkins’ mouth, a slight snore coming from the werewolf. Erinul walked to a closet and pulled a blanket out. He placed it over the werewolf doctor to keep him warm, before realizing that he had fur. Erinul shook his head in a slight laugh at his empty mind and said quietly, “Looks like this world is starting to make me forget the simplest things.” Erinul turned around to leave before he saw something move in the corner of his eye. Erinul spun around and saw a strange figure looming over Frank. “What the?” Erinul said in shock as he dashed towards the room. --- A few minutes earlier… “Boy, what I would give for some sake.” Dr. Walkins said to himself. He was sitting in his chair, slightly hunched over the controls, pressing a button here and there to track Frank’s and Mazido’s vital signs. He also had a small computer screen, which was hooked up to the master control panel that allowed Dr. Walkins to see what was going on in the game. The camera did not show anything suspicious, but when Frank had reunited with his friends, Dr. Walkins smiled and said, “If only I could do that with my family…” A tear rolled down his furry face as he saw his son laugh with his friends. Suddenly, a hand clasped over Dr. Walkins’ mouth, a silky texture rubbing against his muzzle. Dr. Walkins’ tried to overpower his assailant, but somehow couldn’t break free from their grasp. Almost immediately, Walkins’ eyes begin to close, his consciousness starting to fade. He realized that the cloth had chloroform in it, but it was too late. Dr. Walkins was out cold. The man released Dr. Walkins from his grip, and leaned him back in his chair. The man smiled, his sharp fangs smiling an eerie smile. --- Back in the present… “So, this is the boy who found the dragon, huh?” The hooded figure said. His voice was cold, almost icy, like he had done more horrible things than what he was about to do. The hooded man rummaged through his pocket for a second before pulling out a small piece of paper. “Let’s see…‘Infect the human boy with Virus WR-33.’…”, the man read to himself. He placed the piece of paper back into his pocket and pulled out a syringe. He grabbed Frank’s right arm, and said, “I hope that the boy lives through this. Syndicate Seven would kill me if the boy didn’t survive.” But before the man could inject the contents of the syringe into Frank’s blood stream, a voice called out, “Hey!” The man turned to see Erinul standing at the doorway. “Ah, Erinul. It is a pleasure to see you.” Erinul crouched down slightly, “You! You’re one of the Syndicate Seven!” The man chuckled, “Indeed, it appears I am.” “Don’t toy with me, you worthless slimeball!” Erinul yelled. Erinul ran towards the man, attempting to tackle him. The man laughed and said, “You think you can take me on in your human form, dragon?” The man kicked Erinul in the chest, stunning him for a second before delivering a whirlwind kick to Erinul’s head, flinging him towards the wall. Erinul collided with the wall with such force that Erinul immediately lost consciousness. The man smirked and said, “Foolish dragon…..now, where was I?” The man lifted the syringe again, and poked Frank’s cephalic vein with the precision of a medical doctor. He injected the liquid, and as soon as he removed the cannula tip of the syringe from Frank’s body, he began to quiver here and there, sweat starting to build up around his face. His face started to show signs of pain, and his teeth were clenched together. The man snickered and said, “I hope you survive your ordeal, kid…for better or for worse.” And with that, the man walked out of the door and vanished. ---------- Long, huh? Well, it's going to get even longer from here (somewhat), so I hope you enjoy this story enough.
Anyways, I already have the next chapter or two already written out. I just have to look over it and tweak it so that it's ready for posting.
Until then, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and I hope you'll continue to read it in the near future.

Holy smokes! It's an update! No way!
Yes, way. This is an update. I've been so busy with school work that I haven't had the decent amount of time to work on ADV. At any rate, no more delaying. Here's chapter 16! --- Chapter XVI: Henshin “Frank! What’s wrong?” Mazido called out. He, Jason, and Todd were crouched down around Frank, who was yelling in pain, his arms clenching his sides. Frank, meanwhile, had so many things racing through his mind. Was his body in the real world in any harm? Did he become infected with a virus, his five senses having been imbedded into a virtual program? Or was it something else? Of course, he had many other questions he wanted answers to. But as his vision blurred and his consciousness faded in and out, his only last question was: Why me? The next thing Frank knew, he was laying on his back, his forehead slightly damp with water; most likely a damp cloth was placed there to help keep his fever down. He opened his eyes, his vision blurred at first, but clearing up with each blink. He looked at the sky, the darkness of night only pierced by the glow of the moon and the stars above. He rose to a sitting position and looked around. A small campfire, now burned out, was about two feet from him. He looked around, noticing that he could see very well in the moonlit surroundings. He tried to get to his feet, but his feet gave out on him, leaving him on the ground. “Damn.” He said in frustration. He tried to get to his feet again, but his feet crumbled under him. “Ugh…What is wrong with my legs? Why can’t I stand?” He asked himself. He noticed a small pond in front of him, shimmering in the moonlight. He began to crawl his way over to the pond, his feet dragging on the floor. Before he got to the pond though, he felt the shape of his feet weren’t the same. He turned around, and noticed that instead of human feet, he had the feet similar to that of a wolf’s; he also saw a bulge where his rear was. “W-what the!?” He said in shock. He turned back around and frantically crawled the remaining few inches towards the water. He looked at his reflection, which showed a wolf’s head instead of his own, and hollered out in shock, as well as fear. He put his hand, more like his claw, to his face, and felt the furry texture of his skin. His eyes still retained the same natural color he always genetically had, but his entire body had become like a werewolf’s. “Frank!” A voice called out. Frank turned around and saw Mazido, along with Jason and Todd, holding several freshly cut logs of wood, presumably for the campfire. Mazido dropped his load, along with Jason and Todd, and rushed over to Frank’s side. Frank immediately tried to crawl away from them as he yelled, “Stay away from me!” The three froze in their tracks at Frank’s outburst. “Please,” he said, “don’t come any closer.” Mazido shook his head and said, “I thought you’d act like this. I actually expected it, to tell you the truth.” Frank looked up at Mazido’s face, which had a slight grimace, even though his head was turned sideways. “I’ve heard of it from Erinul. He explained most of what he knew to me.” “What do you mean?” Frank asked. Mazido took a breath and said, “According to him, there is a Syndicate that is trying to create the perfect werewolf. Immense strength, impressive speed, lightning-fast reflexes, the works. So far, over twenty innocent people, human and mythical, have fallen victim to them.” He paused and said, “Well, twenty-one, counting you.” Frank put his right hand on top of his head, feeling the texture and shape of his ears. His ears twitched slightly as he listened to Mazido continue on with his explanation. Apparently, the syndicate was known as Syndicate Seven. Only three members of the syndicate were known at the time of Erinul’s disclosure of information. According to Erinul, there were trying to create the ultimate werewolf, and were using an unknown substance to turn people into werewolves. Unfortunately, the substance had a chance to kill its host during the first few hours of injection via needle. From the twenty-one who had become targeted by the substance, only five people survived. When autopsies were performed on those who passed away, they couldn’t find any trace of the cause; it was like it had simply disappeared from their bodies. A special task force, consisting of specially selected humans, dragoons, and other creatures, was created for the sole purpose of stopping the Syndicate Seven. So far, all attempts were met with little success. “But why me?” Frank asked as Mazido finished. Todd and Jason had taken the time while listening to gather the wood into a pile and restart the campfire. Mazido was still standing a half a foot away from Frank, who was still on the ground, laying on his back, using his arms to prop himself up slightly. Mazido shrugged, “We don’t know. As far as we can tell, they target people at random.” The entire camp fell silent, save for the crackling of the campfire and the crickets. Mazido looked at Frank and said with a slight smile, “C’mon. You must be freezing.” Frank looked up at Mazido, who had his hand stretched out to help Frank up. Frank hesitated for a second, as Mazido replied, “Don’t worry, dude. We’re here for you, and we always will be.” Frank grasped Mazido’s hand, and got to his feet, stumbled a bit, and found support against a tree. “Man, how do you walk on these things?” Mazido thought for a second, “Try walking like you’re walking on your tiptoes.” Frank looked at Mazido, who only nodded back. Frank pushed off of the tree and stumbled some more before he managed to stand up. After discussing their next course of action, of which no one could think of besides continuing their journey to the “Festival of the Werewolf”, they all decided to turn in for the night. As the four fell asleep, little did they know that they were being watched. “So, he actually did it.” A tall, black-hooded figure said as he hid behind a tree, his back towards the sleeping four. “Guess that means the real fun can begin.” With a chuckle, the figure vanished into the darkness. --- And there you have it. Another chapter completed. I haven't gotten very far on 17 yet, cause I hit a very tiny (x10) writers block. Meh, it'll go away by tonight. My mind always thinks of a good idea, and then I fiddle with it until it actually works with what I'm writing. At any rate, I'm off to play World of warcraft. I can't wait for patch 2.4 to come out. I'm getting bored on there. >_>
