Did Gargoyles ever get you any of you to read Shakespeare? I asked for a Midsummer's Night Dream and nearly made a librarian cry since she had never been asked that by a nine year old.

So I was wondering if anyone here has heard of the comic books based off the series? It started with an adaptation of the third season premiere for the first two issues, but as of #3 and up it's original stories from here on in. #4 came out a few weeks ago. #5 will be out in July (It's bimonthly).
It's written of course by the producer of Season 1 and 2, Greg Weisman. It ignores the third season (The Goliath Chronicles) except for again the premiere episode The Journey as it was the only episode done under Greg's direction.

Man, this show was great. It is the best Disney animated series. Even if I love both KP and AmDrag, they will never be 'Gargoyles'.

I also remember that show, Blak. Do reminds me of the original Justice League (NOT the Unlimited version).
As for the character, I do like the small one, he looks like Gollum to me.

It seems to be a story with a lot of depth, too bad I was too young to appreciate it at the time. LP

I remember watching this show sometimes on Toon Disney when I was younger.
I liked it, but looking back I can honestly say I didn't understand some of the storylines at the time because I believe I was only about seven or eight when I saw them for the first time. Now that I'm older I can appreciate them more.
Any idea where I can purchase season DVDs?

So far the problem is that the second half of Season 2 isn't on DVD yet, because Season 2 Volume hasn't sold enough copies. If you're looking for the available sets try getting ordering a copy of it online from Amazon.com or online stores of Best Buy, Hastings, Walmart and Target. Disney needs to be convince that the series is still worth investing. And unlike the Toon Disney airings, the DVDs are the uncensored episodes. Commentaries were done for Awakening and City Of Stone. Season 1 even includes recordings from the Gargoyles convention "The Gathering" named after the two part episode of the same name.
And again #4 of the comic came out a few weeks ago, #5 will be out next month. As stated it ignores the 3rd Season known as The Goliath Chronicles as Greg had pretty much no involvement of the stories
