Major details regarding the Benoit family deaths
According to a report on WAGA-TV, investigators believe Chris Benoit killed his wife and son at some point over the weekend, and then killed himself earlier today.
They reported first hearing from a concerned neighbor and that the three bodies were found in separate rooms.
Detective Bo Turner told the staion the case was being investigated as a murder-suicide, but it could not be confirmed until the evidence was examined by a crime lab.
Sources in the Fayette County Police Department are now working under the theory that Chris Benoit killed Nancy on Saturday, son Daniel on Sunday, and then killed himself earlier today.
Benoit was found dead in his weight room. Nancy was found dead in the living room. Daniel was found dead in his bedroom, accordig to an unnamed source in the department.
Lt. Tommy Pope told ABC News "the instruments of death were located on the scene," but didn't specify what those were or where they were found. Pope said the department was not actively searching for any suspects outside the house.
I have more in detail which I will post now,and then what I think
Benoit's death part of a double murder-suicide Written: June 25, 2007
According to lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, in Fayetteville, Ga., the deaths of WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel were the result of a double murder-suicide, WWE.com has learned.
Benoit failed to appear both at Saturday’s live event in Beaumont, Tx., and WWE’s Vengeance: Night of Champions in Houston Sunday night, after informing WWE of a family emergency. Several curious text messages sent by Benoit early Sunday morning prompted concerned friends to alert Richard Hering, VP of Government Relations for WWE, Inc. Hering, in turn, spoke with Fayette County sheriffs Monday, and requested that they respond to the Benoit residence to check on him and his family.
Authorities representing the Sheriff’s Department initially had a difficult time entering Benoit’s new Fayetteville home Monday afternoon, which had been guarded by two large German Shepherds roaming freely around the property. Once authorities entered the residence, they quickly located the bodies of Benoit, Nancy and Daniel. WWE was notified of the discovery at approximately 4 p.m.
At 10 p.m. Monday night, Lt. Pope held a press conference in conjunction with Scott Ballard, the district attorney for Fayette County. The press conference officially ruled authorities’ findings as a double murder-suicide from within the home.
WAGA, a FOX-owned and operated television station in Atlanta, reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son over the weekend, then himself on Monday.
The three bodies have been received by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab, in Decatur, Ga., where autopsies will be performed Tuesday morning. Toxicology reports will not become available for at least two weeks.
WWE.com has further information relating to both the investigation and the cause of death, but the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department has requested that WWE.com not release any additional details at this time.
Well,I really think this is a sad day for WWE.Almost as bad as the day Eddie Guerrero and Owen Hart died.

I don't understand why the 2 murder and then a suicide, it really hurts me a lot when I see that coming.
EDIT : I place the message into your PM, mm20, I don't want to post it here already. I feel this is going to be another storm, which I don't see that coming last night.

Official causes of death for Benoit family
ATLANTA (AP-Staff) - Pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room, a law enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated Press Tuesday.
The official spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Authorities also said they are investigating whether steroids may have been a factor in the deaths of Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and their 7-year-old son, Daniel, who were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide.
Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard said test results may not be back for weeks or even months.
Autopsies were scheduled Tuesday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in DeKalb County.

-DON'T JUST POST ARTICLES YOU FIND ONLINE UNLESS YOU'RE TRYING TO PROVE A POITN ON DEBATE. If you want to talk about one wrestler or event, just state one detail on it and then let everyone else talk about it. @mm20: This applies to you too. I appreciate how you're trying to keep everyone up-to-date on what's going on with the wrestling world, but please lay off it a bit. You aren't trying to prove any point from what I've seen and honestly it just clutters up the thread. From what I see you're already in a bit of trouble, so please don't make it any worse for yourself. Thanks.

I agree with what Rakuen said as well, mm20, by the time I give those advices to you (Even from the others), you have to put them to use. You cannot just read them and then you perform the same thing by copy & paste, etc..* *Believe me, I went to another forum to talk about my personal problems, and you know what my advisors told me after I kept repeating my same problems to them after "reading & taking" those advices they gave. They said you only read but don't put them to use or don't take actions, so what's the point? I felt offended that way when they reply back (Both nicely and harshly), but I have no choice to put them to use. In summary, use them or lose them? Ignoring them or keep them as references DO NOT count.

WWE® Shocked At Latest Developments In Benoit Tragedy, Concerned By Sensationalistic Reporting Written: June 26, 2007
STAMFORD, Conn., June 26, 2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment is stunned and saddened by the details released by local authorities concerning the double homicide-suicide involving Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son, Daniel.
However, WWE is concerned with the sensationalistic reporting and speculation being undertaken by some members of the media following the press conference held by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney. During the press conference, the investigating authorities made the following points, all of which run contrary to the media speculation that "roid rage" was a factor in the senseless murders and suicide:
1. The authorities stated that all drugs found in the house were believed to be legal prescriptions.
2. Steroids were not, and could not, be related to the cause of death (asphyxiation). Authorities had no factual basis to speculate as to Benoit’s state of mind, and rightly did not do so.
3. Toxicology tests have not even been completed, so there is no current evidence that Benoit even had steroids or any other substance in his body. In that regard, on the last test done on Benoit by WWE's independently administered drug testing program, done on April 10, 2007, Benoit tested negative.
4. The physical findings announced by authorities indicate deliberation, not rage. The wife's feet and hands were bound and she was asphyxiated, not beaten to death. By the account of the authorities, there were substantial periods of time between the death of the wife and the death of the son, again suggesting deliberate thought, not rage. The presence of a Bible by each is also not an act of rage.
5. WWE strongly suggests that it is entirely wrong for speculators to suggest that steroids had anything to do with these senseless acts, especially when the authorities plainly stated there is no evidence that Benoit had steroids in his body, pending the toxicological reports, and that they had no evidence at this time as to the motive for these acts.
WWE is continuing to monitor the ongoing investigation being conducted by local authorities.
Anyway,we are moving on ok,don't tell me what I can and can't do.I know the rules and respect them,so moving on this a a wrestling thread.

What you are doing is BREAKING the rules. You are not supposed to copy and paste something you read somewhere else unless you're trying to prove some kind of point. I see no point being proven by what you're posting. All you're doing is cluttering up the thread and facing potential issues with plagerism.

Ho-kay.
mm20
1) Don't tell us what WE can and can't do. As long as you're on this forum, you are obliged to follow our warnings and guidelines we give you in the form of these forum rules and how we enforce them. You don't like it? Then leave the forum.
2) It is not your "job" to be posting this wrestling thread. If we deleted this thread right now and hereby banned any other discussion of wrestling on the forum, I don't entirely think it would be missed (since most other people come here for talking about American Dragon, or at the very least talking with other members here). Stop acting like this thread has some kind of "rightful" place here, and stop using that excuse to try while you backtalk the staff.
3) There's really no point in actually posting so much in a Wrestling Discussion Thread if you're not going to discuss anything. All you are doing now is just posting most every article related to wrestling you can find. It would help if it contributed to discussion, but nobody else is really discussing it. Why not try and wait for some responses before you continue posting more articles? Or better yet, why don't you comment on them yourself?
Rakuen: PLAGIARISM? He clearly states his sources in each article he posts, so that's a false accusation.
Really though. Articles are OK to post: to prove a claim, or to incite discussion. When you're just restricting your posting to basically one thread, and basically doing nothing except highlighting a news article, pressing "Copy", coming to this thread and then pressing "Paste" and calling it a post is just pretty much spam.
Put effort into your posts and actually discuss all these articles that you religiously research and post. You keep saying how this is a "serious" wrestling thread, yet you don't even be seem to be taking it seriously; all you're doing is just pumping up your post count.
You know, that actually seems silly, earning your post count through simply one thread alone. At least the other rank-posters here went to different threads and boards to get to their high post counts.

mm20, I don't care who you are, where your from, what you are, or what you like. It is a FACT you are breaking the rules, and outright telling us you will do what you want to do, even if it's against the rules.
I'm sorry, that's not how it goes. Where you live, your country has laws. You follow them. If you don't, you get arrested. This is OUR place. You follow OUR rules, if you don't, you get banned.
Max Power: mm20 doesn't always state the source clearly, also, he already was asked to provide ONLY a link (that protects us), mm20 hasn't done that.

Max Power: mm20 doesn't always state the source clearly, also, he already was asked to provide ONLY a link (that protects us), mm20 hasn't done that. But he does make it clear in most of his article posts that the work isn't his (with AP marks, and referring to news reports, etc). And I highly doubt some lawyer for a news company is going to be breathing down our necks because of a post mm20 that didn't have a link; this is a fan-forum for a Disney cartoon, for pete's sake.

Sorry if I sound blunt, but lawyers don't give a rats ass.. They can breathe on your neck just for using their article. And the problem: They get away with it too. I speak from experience. I got in trouble with a certain news reporter (an individual mind you!), just because I made one small typo in using his article. This was on a scifi forum.

I don't mind being told something bluntly. I'm love blunt. But mm20 still isn't plagiarizing squat. He gives textual credits to the news sources (which aren't as solid as links, I know), but it shows the work isn't his own and thereby can't be counted as such.
