So where do you think Matt and Eddie got the idea from Fu Dog? What was their influence?
It could be anything, but he is a lot like Luna from Sailor Moon. I think that could be the source of the influence for Fu Dog. A talking animal that has the job of guardian. I guess Salem from Sabrina The Teenage Witch comics could another possible source.

When I first saw this show, I thought it was a rehash of Sabrina- in no small part because of Fu Dog. It took a long time for me to see it differently. I've come to like Fu Dog. A-GOO-GOO-GOO. ;D

Yeah maybe. Or in some legends you see talking animals that give help and other stuff so maybe that's also from here.

Remember the Lion King? Almost all african folk tales are about talking animals.

Remember the Lion King? Almost all african folk tales are about talking animals. Yeah, but with movies such as the Lion King, I think they're speaking like animals usually do, but we're just getting a translation.
