Ok, I remember watching this movie when I was a kid, and it's a very excellent movie. Complete with a lot of great music, including Tiffany, which also voiced Judy.
Fun fact: Not many people saw the movie in the Theatres when it was originally released, thus many people think the VHS version is the only one. Not true. Another lost fact, is that the movie was originally widescreen, not 4:3 fullscreen. The fullscreen version for VHS cut off the sides, and actually is missing some detail.
The movie was only ever made widescreen from the original masters, and shown in HD on Universal HD, a few months ago, but that was the only time it ever saw light again. The widescreen version is then lost again, which is sad, because it really completes the movie, especially since they had it in the original 5.1 surround sound.

There was a movie of that? Wow. Never expect it. Much like visiting Coruscant again. X)

Yes, it wasn't popular when in the movies, but when on video, it became a hit.
Another trivia: There does exist a region 2 DVD of this movie, in surround sound and the original widescreen. But being region 2 is PAL, the playback of the movie is slightly faster than normal, which does alter the pitch slightly. No region 1 disc was EVER created for American users.

I see, it's been a long time since that one was more than a decade ago. EDIT : I just saw they're planning a film version in 2009. The project begun on May 2007, but as for release date, it's unknown. Sorry, got it from Wikipedia, cannot be trusted always.

They should have kept it in cartoon form. That was the beauty of the show/movie, all art and plot. The new movie I'll be you is going to have the same crap todays movies have, which is bad.
It's a pitty all of the original voice actors, except the one who played Judy, on the original cartoon, have passed away.

Dear me, nothing last forever. Just like I remember Ross Bagdasarian Jr. wishes to play as David Seville back in the Alvin & the Chipmunks film, but unfortunately, due to his age, he can't play the role of it. His voice retains, but his looks cannot. Even Sonic the Hedgehog's Tails character when a 12 or 13 year old boy voices him, but after a year, his voice changed, so Tails needed a new voice actor.

I liked that move... still do because of the ecological message and good slapstick... Is pretty good.
