With George Bush is about to go or already gone, any of you feeling happy or about to miss him?
Me, I say good riddance, it's time to put this war president out of his White House seat. Moreover, it's time to put the more understanding Obama (Like John Kerry) to place. And it's a good thing that McCain (Which some might think he's another war president) lost the vote. So far, I hope Obama is ready to shape the world.

Don't really care, honestly. I'm just interested to see if Obama actually does what he says he'll do.

I could care less about it.
But what I DON'T understand, is why everybody hates Bush?
We were in an economic boom during his first term, but everyone seems to hate him for bringing us into a recession, when that was really the banks fault.
But whatever, to me, it's more mass media agreement stuff.
But I'd like to see what Barack does.

I never really understood the whole Bush-hating thing either. I never had a problem with him.
I can see why foreigners don't like him though, as their media basically portrays him as the devil.

At first I didn't understand it one bit either. I still don't totaly get it, but what I did hear somewhere these past year is about his war policy: how it supposidly was all about the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" but turned out to be all about oil. One more thing I picked up in History classes: to unite a devided nation, all they need is a common enemy. Maybe, I honestly can't do more then speculate about this one, but maybe some people felt this was Bush' inention for the war aswell. True or not, if someone where to believe this I wouldn't blame him for disliking Bush. As for the media YFWE, national Dutch media portays him in a neutral way. But then again, Dutch media portays anyone (anyone!) neutral. That's something I CAN tell you with certainty

LOL, I'd have to agree. I'm thinking more of the media in more of the eastern part of the world, like Kokusho's neck of the woods, for instance.

You can say that again, we do have sensitivity and sometimes how we judge our leaders. Anyway, it's your opinion if you care for him or not, but I fear his unfinished problems might transfer to Obama after that.
And by the way, my guess on the Bush hating thing could be because of war, attacking Iraq, taking Middle East's petroleum supply and lose focus of chasing Osama Bin Laden might have gotten our foreigners' attention. And moreover, especially who cares for the troops, Bush is mostly send a fresh of them to war, but sometimes, he could be bad by leaving the existing ones stranded when they're supposed to go home already. That's why the Bush hating thing generates and got flamed even more. And when Obama takes his place, hopefully he'll bring the troops home. If it were McCain instead, I can imagine he might be the next George W. Bush or another war president, either the same or could be worse.

*joins the bandwagon*
I've never understood the hatred of George Bush either omg lol.
If you ask someone their opinion of George Bush (well, if you ask an idiot) they'll usually say "I HATE HIM" and when you ask why they'll usually say "..."

Huh, I was actually late for my school at my poor attempts to watch him get sworn in. Dammit, didn't happen.
Ugh, I'm seriously so happy. I won't deny it - I liked Bush for a good awhile; supported the war, definitely after nine eleven, but now I feel that we're spending money on a pointless war when we should be focusing on other important things; one's that are really in our country.
But eh, *shrugs* That's kinda where I stand. Not to mention the fact that I don't like him because our views are different - he's for the war, I'm not, etc, etc.
But ... uh .. Yeah. Seriously happy. <33 Me and a couple of the girls from school were like HELL YEAH, and all the McCain people were like ">_________> you go die motherfcker"
xDD

Being Arizona, and being a Repub. State, you could only hope for anything less of a sh-t storm if you were like "=D" about Obama. Gotta love all these redneck kids and there whole shpeels on how they hunt. Great HS Day I tell you.

Not sure how I feel. To be honest, the whole election was overrated. I was tired of hearing about the election and glad it was over when it was. Nothing against any president, Obama, or McCain, it just gets annoying.
It's cool to have our first president. I'm not all BOO, KILL HIM about it, but I'm not all YAYABLABLABALAB about it. I'm a Democrat (CAUSE THEY'RE BLUE LOL), so I liked Obama better.
But I can't say, "Oh, Bush sucked throughout his entire term, Obama will be epic win even if he's only been in office for a day." If he can fix at least some of the problems here in America, yeah, I'll like him. But just saying that Oibama will be epic win is just kinda like... stupid. You have to wait for how these things will go.

Well, we'll never know until the future tells, hopefully Bush (Even though he's already gone) don't try to burden him more with his unfinished problems.
