What were some pros and cons for the show. My Pros are good writing, story and acting. My Cons are Jake and Trixie's slang language.

season 1's story's in episodes (most of them weren't worth anything) and the abusive amount of slang in the first season.
prose, the amassing story arks in Season 2 and the amassing community that formed from it! (not to mention we got to read the directors/writers own thoughts and feelings in the blog that was once up)

Pros: -Jake and Rose story line which pushed the envelope dramatically for a DC show. -Above average writing. -Great villains who are actually threatening and vile and not just comical. -Very good voice cast (Mae Whitman being the stand out for me). -So many story arcs that the show actually had a moving story line. The show also had a pretty good continuity. -The darker content. I think it's one of Disney's darker shows, and I'm one of those people who appreciates it when kids shows push the envelope.
Cons: -A few plot holes (painfully evident in episodes like "Homecoming", "Hero of the Hourglass", ect.) -A Deus Ex Machina or two (or three). -Although I personally was never bothered (I even think it's part of what makes the character), Jake's hip-hop slang. It put so many people off from a show that deserved more attention and compassion.

Pros I was going to mention were already listed, but Cons (Which incidentally will acknowledge some pros): The first season's best was the storylines. It was only worth seeing the Jake/Rose/Huntsclan or the Dark Dragon stuff only.
Contrast this with season two in which the filler was actually an entertaining diversion from the storyline. Feeding Frenzy for instance gives us some funny quarreling between Jake and Greggy, plus seeing Haley's outburst towards the young cousins. Plus it lead to some nice bodning between Jonathan and Lao Shi.
Heck, Rotwood actually became an interesting character rather than the poor man's Mr. Crocker from Season 1.

just to add to this, i feel as though the second seasons filler episodes were as good if not better at times than season 1's best. (this show was really dragged down form that first season)
