This is chapter one of the sequal to "Two Short", so Marcie and I hope you like it.
Chapter 1 A Butterfly Effect
“Oooooh!” 89 said. "Well, he did save me!" Elli said. "I gotta admit, I am crushing on Huntsgirl…I mean Rose,” he said. Elli gasped. "No wonder you said you wouldn't tell the Huntsman!" she said. "Don't worry. Your secret's safe with me...as long as you don't tell Jake I'm crushing on him." "I won't,” he said. “Want to work together to break them up?" he asked. Elli laughed. "No," she said. "They're destined." “You think?” he asked sadly. Elli sighed. "Weather we like it or not," she said. "They love each other." “What’s he got that I don’t got?” 89 asked. "He's got Rose," Elli said. “Don’t remind me,” he said. "You asked," Elli shrugged. “She’s so hot,” he said. "Love shouldn't be based on looks," Elli said. “She’s nice, and she’s smart,” 89 said. “When she’s not angry. "So is Jake," Elli said. "And this is the first time I've seen him mad, so if I were you I would run." “I picked on the wrong baby dragon,” he said. “That you did,” she said. “I think we’re going to see her ninja powers directed at us,” 88 said. Elli snorted. "So what are your real names?" she asked curiously. “My name’s Joey,” 89 said. "And yours?" Elli asked, turning to 88. "Jamal," he said. "You know Rose thinks you're both annoying?" Elli asked. “Yes,” Jamal said. “We annoy everyone.” "I can see that," Elli said. "I wonder when they'll be back." “I hope the kid’s ok,” he said. "She'd better be," Elli said in a threatening voice. “I don’t think I’m cut out to be a killer,” he said. "A wound to the wing can't kill her," she said. "Unless she bleeds too much." “Thank goodness,” Jamal said. "She was bleeding a lot though," Elli said. "I never though out magic creatures being cute, or feeling pain, or even having families till today," Jamal said sadly. "I just don't understand Huntsclan members," Elli said. "Dragons, Mermaids, Unicorns, Elves, we all feel pain, we move, we breathe. Why can't they understand that?" “I hope his dragon master can stop it,” Joey said. "If he can't, you two are in trouble," Elli said. "Oh, look, there's Jake!" She pointed. "That poor kid said words I didn’t think little kids knew," Jamal said. “She’s cute, but what a mouth on her!” Joey said. Jake landed next to the three of them bitterly. Rose was running along behind him. “Doesn’t look good,” Jamal said. "She'll be ok after a while," Jake said. "But they won't!" He pointed to Jamal and Joey. He attempted to run toward them but Elli grabbed him by the shoulders. “They deserve a real hurting!” he said angrily. "Jake, they said they were sorry," Elli said calmly. "One does not do well to seek vengeance." “But she’s my sister!” he said. "I know, but they said they're sorry," Elli said. "They opened to me. They told me secrets that if I had those secrets, wouldn't reveal to anyone." “Like they’re in love with the Huntscreep?” he snapped. "Jake, calm down," she said. “My sister could have died!” he said. Jamal’s beeper went off: I want the pelt now! "That's it!" Jake exclaimed. He pulled away from Elli, scratching her across the left cheek as he did so. With a yelp, she let go of his shoulders. "I'm going after the Huntsman once and for all!" “No!” Rose screamed. "Jake!" Elli cried, holding the cuts on her face. She uttered a spell and Jake was blocked by an invisible force that pulled him to the ground. "What the--?!" he exclaimed. “You shouldn’t go after him so mad,” Rose said. "You aren't strong enough," Elli said. There were lines of blood coming out from the three claw marks on her cheeks, leaving red streaks down her face. “He sent them after my baby sister!” he shouted. "You are not strong enough!" Elli yelled. "You know what? I don't even know why I liked you so, Jake, you aren't very smart!" “I’m not?” Jake asked, insulted. "No! You're going and doing stupid stuff, taking on things that are more powerful then you!" Elli shouted, outraged. “He’s messed with my family for the last time!” Jake exclaimed. "This is what I'm talking about!" Elli shouted. "To think I loved someone so foolish!" She clapped a hand over her mouth to keep herself from saying anything else. “You loved me?” Jake asked, shocked. Elli removed her hands from her mouth. "Well, yeah, kind of," she said. "But I don't know now." She frowned. "I just don't know anymore." He blushed. "Oh, so it's embarrassing to have someone like me like you?" Elli was offended now. "No, I blushed because Rose likes me too,” Jake said. He noticed the 3 bleeding cuts on Elli's face. "Did I do that?" Elli nodded. "I was only trying to protect you," she said. “And Gramps is probably still busy with Haley,” Rose said. "I would heal her, and myself, but that's a skill I have not studied yet," Elli said. She flinched as the cold wind whipped her face, causing the cuts to sting. “What can we do?” Rose asked. Elli sighed, shaking her head. "There's nothing I can do for her right now," she said. “What about you?” Rose asked. "Are they bleeding a lot?" Elli asked, though she knew very well that blood was trickling out. She could feel drops of blood dripping off of her chin and onto her blouse. “Just a tiny bit,” Jake said. Elli put her hand over her cuts and then removed her hand from her face. She turned it to Jake. "Does this look like a tiny bit?" she demanded. Her hand was covered in blood. “I’m sorry,” Jake said. “We can get Fu to make sure there aren’t scars.” Elli nodded to let him know it was ok. "I can try to heal it," she said. She placed her hand back over the cuts and muttered more words in the ancient language. She fell on the ground with a thump, her eyes still closed. “She dead?” Joey asked, alarmed. "Is she ok?" Rose asked, worried. “You ok?” Jake asked. Elli moaned, not opening her eyes. “I’m taking you to Fu, like it or not.” He picked her up. “I think she’s asleep,” Rose said. “Then she’ll wake up healed,” Jake said. "I hope so," Rose said. "As long as she didn't put herself in a coma." “Scary thought,” Jake said. "So what are you going to do with her?" Rose asked. “Let Fu have a look at her,” he said. "Where do the twerps go?" she asked. "How about in the lake?" Jake asked. “MOMMA!” the boys say. "Play nice," Rose said. "They started it," Jake said. “They could’ve let Haley bleed to death, but they didn’t,” Rose said. "They still hurt her!" Jake exclaimed. Jamal had just gotten another message: Where are you? "I have an idea," Rose said. "You can buy something leather and pink and cut it so it looks like a pelt." “Cool idea,” Joey said. "People might think you're stupid, buying pink leathery stuff," Jake laughed. “Has Haley molted?” Rose asked. "No," Jake said. "And I don't think she'll be due for molting for a while." “Too bad,” she said, winking. "You two go do that," Jake said. "We have to get Elli to Fu." They walked off. "C'mon," he said to Rose and flew off, towards the shop, Elli in his arms. “Think the plan will work?” Rose asked. "It might," Jake said. "If those two are smart enough." “Too bad she’s not molting,” she said. "Not for a couple months," he said. "At least that's what G says." “Does your mom molt?” Rose asked. "My mom isn't a dragon," Jake said. "Skipped her generation." “Ok then, leather might be our best choice,” she said. Elli moaned again. Her eyes opened halfway, but they were unfocused and glazed, and she wasn't aware of her surroundings. "I think she's waking up," Jake said. “Don’t worry, we’re taking you to the shop. She closed her eyes as her head lolled to the side. "Is she ok?" Rose asked. “I’d better hurry,” he said. "Why?" she asked. "Is she alright?" “I’m not sure, but the sooner we get her there, the sooner she gets better,” Jake replied. "You go ahead," Rose said. "I'll catch up." He went ahead and reached the shop in a couple of minutes. "Fu," he said. "Can you see if Elli's ok? She won't wake up." “What did you do to her, Kid?” he asked. “Kiss her with dragon breath.” He laughed. "Fu, this is serious," he said. “How’d she get scratched?” Fu asked. "My bad," Jake said. “Yeah, but even a dragon scratch can’t do this much damage,” he said. "She didn't know how to heal and she tried anyway. I don't know what the spell did to her,” Jake explained. “I think I read about a spell like that,” Fu said. Elli suddenly stopped breathing. "Fu! She's not breathing!" he said. "Her heart's still beating. Could the spell be sucking energy from her even as we speak?" “Yes,” he said sadly. "What do we do?" he asked. “We need the right ingredients,” Fu said. "Well do you have them?" Jake asked quickly. “Yes, but I’ll need to mix them,” he said. "Can you use them on Elli?" he asked impatiently. “Yeah, see if we have any pure glacier water,” Fu aid. "That?" Jake asked, pointing to a bottle of clear liquid. “Yeah,” he said. Jake picked it up and gave it to Fu. "Hurry," he said eagerly. “I just got enough,” Fu said. “This should heal her wound and counter the spell.” Rose walked in. "I'm here," she said. "Is she ok?" “She will be,” Fu said. "She isn't breathing," Jake said. “I have a score to settle with 88 and 89 after this,” he said. "Hurry up," Jake said. "She can't live much longer if she isn't breathing...I don't have to give her CPR do I?" “No,” Fu said. He mixed the ingredients and poured the violet liquid on Elli’s wounds. They waited for something to happen. Elli opened her eyes and took a deep breath in. She coughed. "Am I dead?" she asked. “No,” Fu laughed. "Elli!" Jake yelled, hugging her.

No, she just tried to heal herself and it backfired and sucked up her energy.
Ok, sorry for taking so long to update, but I just finished editing the next chapter...however, when it asked if I wanted to save, I accidently clicked no and now I have to do it over again. Should be up by tomorrow!

Sorry I haven't updated "I Can't Live Without her," I've been busy...ok, I'm lying, I actually have writer's block, but I just finished editing this chapter. *Waits for cheers* ... *Random cricket chirps* CHEER! CHEER DANGIT! Well, anyway, here's chapter 2!
Chapter 2 What is truth?
“You’re alive!” Jake said. “Looks like it,” Elli said. She put her hand to where the cuts were. “And the cuts are gone.” “So am I, if anyone cares,” Haley said. “Haley!” Jake yelled, hugging her. “Did I see them in the window?” she asked. “See who?” Jake asked. “I saw the jerks that nearly killed me,” Haley said. Jake walked over to the window and peered out. “Haley, nobody's out here,” he said. “Are there side-effects to that potion?” “People have been known to hallucinate,” Fu said. “I'll look outside in case they followed us,” Jake said, opening the door to the shop. They were crouched by the door. “What are you two doing here? Shouldn’t you be somewhere else?” “Just wanted to see if she’s alright,” Jamal said. “The Huntsman said, ‘don’t come home without the pelt’,” Joey explained. “He’s really ticked off at you, Rose. He sent some others to get the skull.” “Jake, I really have to go,” Rose said. “I do too,” Jake said. “Where are you going?” Rose asked. “They might actually get the skull,” he said. “Ok, what are we waiting for?” she asked. “Dragon up!” he said. Rose pulled her Huntsclan outfit on over her clothes. “I'm coming too,” Elli said. “How many skulls does he have?” Jake asked. “He has nine,” Huntsgirl said. “I counted them once. He needs 13.” “We can’t let him have a tenth,” he said. “I’m not dying at 13 years old.” “What are we waiting for?” Elli asked. “Lets go!” “Where did he say it was?” Huntsgirl asked. “It’s buried,” Joey said. “Under the lake.” “Under the lake?” Jake asked. “That’s what he said,” Joey shrugged. “How are we going to get it?” Elli asked. Jake looked at Fu. “Got any magical mojo that can help?” he asked. “No, and I don’t got the ingredients for a gill spell neither,” he said. “Dang,” Jake said. “Wait, I have a better idea. We can ask Maria to get it. Do we still have those shovels?” “Yeah, we can hit Skull Face with them,” Jamal said. “SOUNDS LIKE FUN!” Jake exclaimed. “Yeah, Kid,” Fu said. “They’re in the storage closet.” Gramps handed one to Jake. “I trust you to use them properly,” he said. “Is it proper to hit the Huntsfreak over the head with them?” Jake asked, grinning. “Is that 88 and 89 I see?” Gramps asked. “Yeah,” Jake said. “But they're cool now...I THINK!” “What are they doing here?” he asked, followed by Chinese ranting. “They tried to kill your sister!” “Yeah, but they didn’t,” Jake said. “That makes it ok?” he yelled. “Look, I didn’t invite them over,” he said. “Kick them out if you want. I don’t care!” “Rose, do you trust them?” he asked. “I—well, kind of,” she said. “We’ll watch them,” Gramps said. “I did have Sun watch you.” “Why?” Jake asked. “You don't trust me?” “I didn’t say I didn’t trust you,” he said. “I trust her, so if you don't trust her then you don't trust me either,” Jake said. “Love can blind even the strongest eyes,” Gramps said. “She let me go,” Jake said. Fu rolled his eyes in a here-we-go-again kind of way. “If she couldn't be trusted she would've slain me.” “I’m sorry Rose,” he said. “I was just trying to protect my family.” “She is family now,” Jake said. “I was wrong, just as I was about Jake’s father,” he said. “We should be going,” Elli said. “I should be put in a nursing home before I hurt Haley,” he muttered. “You should be,” Jake said. “I mean shouldn't.” He grinned. “Jake!” Fu yelled. “Hey, you should too,” he said. “I mean...uh...well, we should be going now. Come on Rose.” Tell Huntsgirl she’d better get here soon, or it’s treason, came another message. “Let’s go!” Elli said, dragging Jake and Huntsgirl out by their shirts, leaving 88 and 89 to follow. They went near the lake where the Huntsman was waiting. Huntsgirl, 88, and 89 distracted him while Jake passed Maria the shovel and she began to dig. “We have the pelt,” 88 said. “Good work,” the Huntsman said. “Isn’t it pretty?” 89 asked. “Yes,” he said, taking it. “Now you three,” he pointed at 88, 89, and Huntsgirl, “get the skull before that dragon does!” He pointed at Jake, who had just jumped out of the bushes. “So we meet again, Dragon,” Huntsgirl said. “Dragon? Where?” Jake asked. “You, American Pelt,” she laughed. “Look, Dragon, your, sister your backup is nothing but a pink pelt and pigtails now, but don’t worry. You will soon join her. You and all of your kind, and those who dare side with you will soon be in the fiery pits for all eternity!" He punctuates his rant with a wicked laugh. “Yo, I don't know what you just said, but whatever it was, it ain't gonna happen, Huntschump!” Jake said. “Soon your mother, your father, and your master shall all fall before you,” he said. “Give it up Dragon Boy,” Huntsgirl said. “And I’ll do this quickly.” “Not if I do first,” he said. “Let’s do it, Dragon,” she said. “Fine by me,” he said. He lashed his tail out and it wrapped around her wrist so she couldn't move her arm. “I have the skull!” 88 said. “Not for long,” Jake said, letting go of Huntsgirl’s wrist and pouncing on him. He grabbed the skull. “Get it Huntsgirl!” the Huntsman yelled. “Get the skull now!” “Hai-ya!” she yelled, jumping at Jake. She knocked it out of his hands and it rolled toward the lake. “I got it!” 88 yelled, running after it. “You had it, Huntsgirl!” he said. “Give it to me number 88.” 88 grabbed the skull and held it up. “I got i--” he started, but Elli jumped out and kicked it out of his hand. It landed in her hands instead. She grinned. “Kill the elf,” the Huntsman commanded. “Yes, Master,” Huntsgirl said, charging at Elli. She cartwheeled out of the way, tossing the skull to Jake. Huntsgirl shot at her with her staff, but Elli kept dodging. “You’re a worthy opponent,” she said. “Not bad yourself,” Huntsgirl said, holding her hands out, ready for an attack. “Bring back her corpse,” he said. “I have to touch it with my HANDS?” Huntsgirl asked. “You are not a child, you’ve slain a dragon,” he said. “Or did you?” Elli said so he couldn’t hear. “Just bring it back,” he said. “He’s demented!” Elli hissed. “I know, I’ll figure out a way to save you,” Huntsgirl whispered. “In case yall don’t remember,” Jake said. “I still got the skull!” “Yes, hand it over and I’ll make yours and your family’s death reasonably painless,” he said. “Didn't yo momma ever teach you some manners?” Jake asked. “How about asking nicely and I might just think about it...NOT!” “If you give me the skull I will spare the rest of your family,” he said. “Hmm, let me think about that for a minute,” Jake said, pretending to be in deep thought for a few seconds, then, “NO!” “Then 88 and 89 will slay all of your family!” he said. “I have a present for you and it has the word skull in it,” Jake said. “Then give it to me now!” he said. “Ok,” Jake said, and kicked him in the head hard. “A kick, from my foot to your skull!” He laughed. “Huntsgirl, finish him!” he commanded. “Hai-ya!” Huntsgirl said, running toward him with a kick. He dodged it and she ended up landing in the lake. She stood up, spitting water out. “Your turn,” she said, emerging from the lake. “Ya gotta catch me first," he taunted. “I’ll act like I have it then slip,” she whispered. Jake winked and put a thumb up. He held out the skull. “You want it?” he asked. “Try and get it!” She grabbed it from him. “I have it, Master!” she said, then Jake tripped her and she fell back in the lake. Jake jumped in after her and grabbed the skull. “Not anymore!” he said. “Get it back you incompetent child!” the Huntsman commanded rather harshly. “Hey, she ain't incompetant,” Jake said. “I mean...um...it just looks that way cuz of mah awesome skizills!” “Why aren’t you a pelt yet?” the Huntsman asked. “Cuz...YOUR MOM!” Jake said. “Why aren’t you above my fireplace yet?” he asked. “Cuz...you can't catch me cuz you're too OLD!” Jake said. “Huntsgirl isn’t,” he said. “Yeah, but I’m too slick for her,” he said. “Dragon!” she yelled. “Yipes!” Jake exclaimed. "Looks like somebody missed snack time." “Did you miss your nap?” she asked. “Unfortunately,” he said. “Let me help you!” Huntsgirl said. Jake blinked. “Huh?” he asked. She got close and whispered, “I’m going to pretend to stun you.” Jake nodded. “Bring it!” he said. She touched him with the staff and he fell over, pretending to be stunned. “Well done, Huntsgirl,” the Huntsman said. “Is he still alive?” “Barely,” she said. “Good, finish him.” “Oh no you don’t!” Elli said, grabbing her staff. “Hey!” Huntsgirl said. “Give that back!” “And just how stupid do you think I am?” Elli asked. “I have backup,” Huntsgirl lied. “Who? Those two twerps back there?” Elli laughed. “And me,” the Huntsman said. “Good point,” Elli said. “But you’re still too OLD to take me on.” “Give it to me,” he said menacingly. “Mm, no,” Elli said. “And I think I'll use magic to wake him up.” She pointed at Jake and walked over to him. “Um…wake up?” “I’d rather slay a dragon who’s awake anyway,” he said. “Jake wake up,” Elli whispered. “What time is it Mommy?” Jake said stupidly. Elli rolled her eyes. “Two against 4...not very fair but, hey we're dealing with Huntsclan,” she said. “This should be easy.” “You think, filthy Elf?” the Huntsman asked. “Filthy?" Elli scoffed. “Ha! We have wolves that are kinder than you!” “All magic is filthy,” he said. “All magic creatures are a nuisance on this planet,” he said. “What did we ever do to you?” Elli asked. “I mean, why are you acting like this towards us? Are you jealous that we're magical and you're not? Is that what this is about?” “You carry diseases. Magical creatures are responsible for all plagues,” he said. “We do not!” Elli exclaimed. “You are jealous! I knew it!” “Yeah!” Jake said. “I bet if you were magical, you wouldn't hunt yourself, now would you?” “Me magical?” he scoffed. “I’d kill myself.” “Liar!” Elli said. “I’d kill Huntsgirl if she had magic,” the Huntsman said. “But not yourself,” Jake said. “Yes, I would,” he said. “I’d kill Huntsgirl if I found her associating with magical filth like you!” “Filth?” Jake asked. “The only filth I see here is YOU!” “Really?” he asked, raising his staff. “Die evil monster! I will slay you both!” “Over my dead body!” Jake said. “Wait…that didn’t come out right.” “You,” he said, pointing to Huntsgirl. “Are a traitor.” “Me?” she asked. “Yes, I have my own dream charm now,” he said. She went red. “Confess, and I shall punish you and remove you from the Huntsclan. Continue to lie and you will be sentenced to death.” “I-I,” Rose stuttered. “Fine, I admit it. I helped this dragon...but I couldn't help it. Yes, I thought dragons were nasty before, but then I realized how sweet he actually was.” If Jake wasn't already a red dragon, he'd be...well, red. “I saw you two fighting a chimera together,” he said. “And before that, in Paris. So…sickeningly sweet.” “I know you kidnapped me!” Rose exclaimed. “But if you can forgive me for helping a dragon, and as soon as I find my family, I can forgive you for kidnapping me.” “What makes you think the brat and your parents are still alive?” he asked in a rather bitter tone. “What?” she asked. “You-you mean you...?” “I think I need some popcorn!” Jake said. “Shut up!” Elli said, punching him in the arm. “That’s not even funny.” “Sorry,” he said. “I don’t know if your parents are still alive,” the Huntsman said. “But I gave your sister away. “To who?” Rose demanded. “And I’ll forgive you if you’ll never mention this again and slay the dragon and elf,” he said, changing the subject. She looked down for a minute, probably in thought. “No,” she said, looking back up at him. “Never.”

Chapter 3 She lives
“Then you will be tried for treason,” the Huntsman said. She swallowed, looking at Jake and Elli. “Fine,” she said. “You want to try me for treason? Go ahead, but I'll never hurt him.” “Rose…” Jake said. “Yes?” she asked. “Don't do this,” he said. “I love you,” Rose said. “I love you too,” Jake said. “Which is why I'm not gonna let you do this.” He grabbed her by the shoulders and flew off with her. “Hey…wha-?” Rose asked. “You forgot Elli. Are you willing to sacrifice her for us?” Jake frowned. He hadn't thought of Elli. “I'll go back after we get you somewhere safe where you can hide,” he said. “Return Huntsgirl or the Elf girl gets it,” the Huntsman said. Jake sighed. “Sorry Elli,” he said. Elli's eyes narrowed. The Huntsman aimed his staff at Elli. 88 and 89 jumped in front of her. “STOP!” they yelled. “Why should I?” he asked. “Because it's 5 against 2!” 89 said. “I’m surrounded by traitors,” he said. “The only traitor I see,” Elli said. “Is you! You've betrayed all magical creatures!” “The creatures die at sunset,” the Huntsman said. “Traitors immediately after.” “Elli, run,” 88 said. “What about a trail?” she asked. “Just run!” he said. Elli ran. “I demand a fair trial,” 89 said. The Huntsman pointed his staff at 88 and 89. “I thought they were your favorites,” 81 said. “Not even close,” he said. “Who is then?” the redheaded girl asked. “Huntsgirl was,” he said. “But she has betrayed us.” “Let’s kill her now,” 81 said. “Not yet,” he said. “Capture the Elf first, then anyone else you can…but don't kill them.” “Why?” she asked. “Don't question me,” he said. “Just do as you're told.” So she stalked Elli through the park. Elli stopped and tried to work a spell to block her. “Come on,” she said desperately after the spell didn't work. Her enemy was now only yards away. “I’m coming,” 81 said, running toward her. Elli tried the spell once more before running again, but she had used a lot of energy from trying three times, and collapsed. “Elli!” Jake exclaimed. “I almost feel sorry for you,” 81 said, before laughing evilly. Elli frowned, staggering to her feet, trying to run, but all she could do was walk quickly. 81 unleashed a net on her. “Prepare to die,” she said. “I said don't kill her,” the Huntsman said. “At sunset,” she added. Elli looked at Jake with despair. He set Rose down. “Start heading for the shop,” he said. “Tell Gramps we need help. I'll help Elli.” “You need me,” Rose said. “Just go,” Jake said softly. “Don't worry about me.” “How can I not?” she asked, tears gathering in her eyes. “I do need you,” he said. “I need you to get help.” “If only I could fly,” Rose said. “Just run,” Jake said. “But be careful, and hurry back.” She ran off into the night as Jake flew over to Elli. “Elli are you ok?” “Teleport back now,” the Huntsman said. “Wha-?” Jake asked, but it was too late. 81 and the Huntsman had already teleported, along with 88, 89, and Elli.
Rose ran to the shop, and ran right into Fu just outside. “Hey, Kid, where's Jake?” Fu asked. “The kids and I are all traitors now,” she said in a panicked tone. “He told me to get help. He was in Central Park.” “We gotta hurry,” Fu said. “You go back and help Jake. I'll go to the shop to get Gramps and Haley.” He ran off toward the shop. “Do you still have that teleporter to track the Huntsclan?” Rose asked. Fu stopped. “Yeah, but only Potato Boy knows how to use it,” he said. “Why?” “In case they already teleported,” she said. “I'll bring it out,” he said. “Go. Jake needs you.” “I hope it’s not too late,” Rose said. They took off in opposite directions. Back near Central park, Jake flew in the direction of Rose. “Rose!” he panted. “Elli...them...she's gone.” “Oh no,” she said. “Don’t worry. I told Fu to bring the teleporter.” “We have to hurry,” he said, dragoning down and hugging Rose. “How’d you get away?” she asked, hugging him back. “I didn't,” Jake said. “I flew toward Elli to help and they just teleported. I guess they didn't want to risk losing any hostages that they already had. They took 88 and 89 too.” “I’m amazed they didn’t get you,” Rose said. He frowned. “I'm not that bad, am I?” he asked. “I think it might’ve saved them if I had turned myself in,” she said. “Now they have three.” “I know,” Jake said. “And we have to get them back. I should never have left Elli.” “I shouldn’t have left you,” she said. “I thought you might mess up since you were so upset.” “I just hope they're ok,” he said. “Mostly Elli though.” “You like her,” Rose laughed. “Not like I like you, but she's one of my best friends,” he said. “I care about her more than I care about those two fruit loops you call 88 and 89.” “Speaking of friends, where’s Potato Boy?” she asked. Jake shrugged. “Who knows?” he asked. “It’s 7 PM,” she said. “I don't know, I don't have his weekly schedule,” he said. “Where does he live?” Rose asked. “Shouldn't we wait for Fu?” Jake asked. “Yes, but he said only Spud can run the teleporter,” she said. “Yeah, and we’re going to need help from Gramps and Haley,” he said. “Is Pinky up to it?” Rose asked. “You mean Haley?” Jake asked. “Yeah, she’s too cute to fight,” she said. Jake raised an eyebrow. “She looks like a stuffed toy.” Jake laughed. “Yeah, she's real cute,” he said. “Especially when she's fighting me. Wow. Good thing I know her weakness.” “She tried to fight the mighty American dragon?” she asked. “Yeah, when she was hypnotized by an evil puppet...” he said. “I heard about that,” Rose said. “Some of the Huntsclan’s youngest students were affected. I was hoping that was permanent. They were breaking traps and weapons everywhere.” “Where's Fu at?” Jake asked. “Hope nothing happened to him too.” “Nice of you to worry, Kid,” he said. “But I’m fine.” Jake smiled. “ You got the teleporter?” he asked. “I'll call Spud if I need to.” “I have it,” he said. “Can I run it is the real question.” “Hold on,” Jake said, pulling out his pager. He got a message from Spud: Can I come over and play? Meet me in Central Park ASAP! Jake replied. Should I bring Trix? Yes, more help. Spud and Trixie arrived within 5 minutes. “Yo, what's the rush?” Trixie asked Jake. “Elli and some others have been kidnapped by the Huntsclan,” he said. “So Miss Ninja Thang and Elfi made up?” Trixie asked. “Yes, but even if we hadn’t, I still wouldn’t want her to die,” Rose said. “Especially how they do it.” “You saw them?” Jake asked, disgusted by the thought. “They have entertaining films,” she said. “That's terrible!” Jake exclaimed. “Enough, we're not here to talk,” Gramps said. "We're here to help Elessar.” He turned to Spud. “Remember how we caught 88 and 89?” “What are we talking about?” Spud asked stupidly. “The way you intercepted the transporter,” he said. “Um...yeah, I think so,” Spud said in a bored tone. “We have to use it to find Elli and the runts,” Jake said. “Is it too late.” “I do not know, but I do not think this is a wise idea,” Gramps said. “What, oh wise one?” Spud asked. “Eh, this is probably what the Huntsclan wants,” Fu said. “For us to follow them?” Jake asked. “Yeah,” Fu said. “What should we do? Let them die?” he asked angrily. Gramps frowned. “Do you wish to die along with them?” he asked. “No,” he said. “But I probably deserve it, letting Elli be caught.” “Do not say that,” he said. “It cannot have been completely your fault.” “If I had turned myself in, they might still be here,” Rose said. “That's not true,” Jake said. “They would have just taken all of us. Besides, I wouldn't let you do that.” “Why you worried about the Hunts-brats anyway?” Trixie said. “They're on our sides now,” Jake said. “And they protected Elli when 81 was after her.” “Jake strikes again,” Trixie said. “Not me,” Jake said. “I think Elli.” “I thought they tried to turn your sister into a purse,” Spud said. “How did you find out?!” Jake exclaimed. “The oracle twins showed up trying to find you,” he shrugged. “Probably still looking, but they did say you’d try to rescue her.” “So what do we do?" Jake asked Gramps. “And oh yeah, they said two Huntsclan members would be on our side,” Spud said. “But I figured more girls.” “You wish,” Rose said. “The only other girl we saw was pretty hardcore,” Jake said. “There you are, Jake,” Sara said. “Oh, uh, hi, Sara,” he said. “Hi Cara.” “I had the scariest vision,” she said hyperly. “Oh great,” Jake said. “What is it now?” “I saw your girl all burned up by a staff,” she said. “Protecting some Elf girl.” She giggled, as she always does after visions. “ROSE?” Jake asked. “Yep!” she said. He frowned. “You're staying here,” he said to Rose. “She lives though, hooray,” Cara said unenthusiastically. “You’re still staying here,” Jake said.

Here's the next chapter! I just finished editing! Enjoy!
Chapter 4 Dark Dreams
“Remember, our predictions always come true, even in a weird way,” Sara said. “If she stays here, it'll still come true, but maybe not in the way you expect,” Kara said. “How could they get her here?” he asked. “We don't know, we only have the visions,” Sara said. “We just know what's going to happen. We don't know how or why.” “Is she gonna be ok?” he asked. “Yeah,” Kara said. “She'll live.” “Will Elli?” he wondered. “Don't know,” Kara said, shrugging. “Can you see anything?” Jake asked. “I haven't yet,” she said. “I know it can’t be forced, but…” he said. “Jake, I know you want me to stay here,” Rose said. “But...I have to come with you.” “Why?” he asked. “You need me,” she said. “I want to be there for you.” “Ooh I just had a vision,” Sara suddenly said. “How bad she get hurt?” Jake sighed. “Oh goody,” Kara said glumly. “Spill Sara,” he said. This time Sara wasn't smiling. “Nothing,” she said. “You said you had a vision,” Jake said. “Oh,” Sara said. She laughed in a nervous kind of way. “It's not important.” “Is it about Rose or Elli? Tell me!” he said angrily. “Heh,” Sara said. “It's actually about Elli...” “Tell me,” he begged. Sara bit her lip. “She--” she started, but was cut off by a loud electricity noise. The Huntsman had teleported back with 81. “She what?” Jake demanded. “Jake, look out!” Rose said, pushing him out of the way of a shot from the Huntsman. “You’re still loyal to him?” The Huntsman asked. “Always,” Rose said, helping Jake up. “You must die then!” he said. “Shall I?” 81 asked. “Yes, you get the honor,” he said. She pointed her staff at Rose, who moved out of the way as 81 shot. She shot at Rose again. “No!” Jake said, tackling 81. She pulled his tail and fire shot out of his mouth automatically. Jake gasped as the fire hit Rose. “That dragon may have killed the traitor,” 81 said. “Rose!” Jake exclaimed. He knocked 81 down and flew over to Rose. “Are you ok?” “She’s dead, you dumb dragon,” the Huntsman said. “No she's not!” Jake said, scooping her into his arms. “She can't be!” “Murderer!” he screamed. “I am not!” he said, a tear dripping from his eye onto Rose. There was a hissing noise as some of the burns disappeared. He blinked and turned to Gramps. “Wha?” “Dragon tears have the ability to heal,” he said. “And you couldn't have told me this sooner?” he asked, outraged. “I didn’t think you would get your healing abilities until you were older,” Gramps said. “Gramps,” Jake said slowly. “Take her back to the shop and don't let anything happen to her. I'll take care of the Huntsfreak and his Freak-o assistant.” “Aren’t you concerned about the Elf and the other traitors?” the Huntsman asked in a dark tone. “Yes!” Jake said. “Tell me where they are!” “They’re dead and buried,” he laughed. Jake's eyes widened and he set Rose down. Then he plunged headfirst at the Huntsman angrily. He fell to the ground and Jake punched at him angrily. 81 kicked Jake off the Huntsman, but he just tripped her with his tail and tackled the Huntsman again. “You evil...evil--” Jake started to say. “Jake! Stop!” Gramps said. “What if he's lying? He could have information!” Jake accidentally leaned on a button on the Huntsman’s staff. “Dude, what was that for?” 88 asked back in a dungeon. “We weren’t supposed to hit them!” a girl with the number 96 said. “Just watch them, you idiot!” “Eh, he deserved a smack in the face,” the boy who hit him said. He had the number 97. “Yeah, ungrateful brat, turning on us,” another boy, 98 said. “You guys have no idea,” 88 muttered. “That’s 88!” Jake said. “Where?” Trixie asked. “I don’t know,” he said. “Look.” He showed her the image coming from the staff. He turned to the Huntsman. “Where are they??” but he was unconscious from Jake's blows. 81 wasn’t though. “Where are they?” Jake asked, grabbing the frightened girl. “I-I don't know," she said. "He-he didn't tell me. I swear! I don't know!" “Are you sure?” he asked. She nodded, shaking from head to toe. “Who would know?” She pointed to the unconscious Huntsman. “The dream charm,” someone behind them said. Jake blinked. “Rose?” he asked. “You're ok?” “Yes. I don’t know how,” she said. “But yes.” “I'm sorry I hurt you in the first place,” he said softly. “It was the heat of the battle,” Rose said. Jake smiled. “So you haven’t found them?” “Not yet,” he said, his smile vanishing. “Think you could use a nap?” she asked. “Probably,” Jake said. “Are you coming?” “Yes,” Rose said. “Gramps, keep an eye on her,” Jake said, pointing to 81. “But be warned,” Rose said. “His skull ain’t Disney Land.” “How do you know?” he asked, an eyebrow raised. “I tried to look for where my family might be once,” she said. “We'll find them,” he said, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Besides, even if I hadn’t been there, it’d be a good guess,” Rose said. “True,” Jake shrugged. “It’s full of all his ‘dreams’,” she said. “Well, maybe we could skip past all that?” he asked hopefully. “We can try,” she said. “How do you get in my dreams? Do you just watch my past or is there a way to skip all that?” Jake asked. “Sometimes I take a look at my guy as a baby,” Rose said. “Aw man,” he said. “Concentrate,” she said, holding her dream charm. Jake closed his eyes, pulling out his own charm. The next minute, they were back in the dream corridor. “Don’t be disappointed, his door won’t have his real name,” she said. “Mine has no last name.” “I noticed,” Jake said. “Do you even know your last name?” “He changed mine in every city,” she said. “He doesn’t think a first name matters, so he just calls me Huntsgirl.” Jake rolled his eyes. “Well, let's get moving,” he said.

ZOMG! I FINALLY STOPPED BEING LAZY AND UPDATED! IT'S A MIRACLE!!! Anyway, we hope you enjoy this next chapter! Reviews people!
Chapter 5 Freedom "Here’s the room,” Rose said. “Huntsmaster.” Jake opened the door. "Ladies first," he said with a smile. "Dragons first,” she laughed. He raised an eyebrow and walked in. "So is there a way to skip this junk?" Jake asked. She tore through a paper-thin wall. "That is so cool when you do that," Jake says. "Dream walls are thin,” she said. "I noticed," he said. "This should be where my dear uncle keeps his deepest secrets," Rose said. "He probably has some nasty ones.” "Probably," Jake said. “Let’s look for his secret files," Rose said. "Ok, but if that doesn't work we can talk to him," Jake said. "How?” she asked. "Well," Jake said. "There's always plan J..." “What’s that?” she asked. He pointed to himself. "What are his plans?" "Probably to threaten your family and my family and ask something in return," Jake said. "I have none," she said. "Yes you do," he said. "But I'm sure he knows exactly where they are." ”Probably, if he didn't kill them," Rose said. "Let's find out then," Jake said. "Don't we have a time sensitive mission?” she asked. "A what?" he asked. "Time sensitive mission. Hostages to rescue, remember?" "Oh," Jake said. "Yeah. Let's just find out where they are and get out." "We can go back for the rest." "Good idea," Jake said. "I do want to find my family,” Rose said sadly. "Don't worry," Jake said. "The Mac Daddy Jake-man can help ya there." "I have parents and a twin out there,” she said. "We'll find them," he said. "Ways To Kill Rose," Rose said, reading a folder. “Can you open this?” "No…" he said. "Why would I want to open that?" "This might be a death trip,” she said. ”We need to know.” "Fine," Jake said. "I'll open it." He opened it. "Said I'd open it," he said. "Never said I'd read it. Here you go." "There’s a picture of me in a kraken pit,” Rose said. “Over a pit of acid…how comforting.” "Are you sure that's a kraken pit?" Jake asked. "He's bad at drawing..." "It says ‘kraken pit’.” "Oh," Jake said. "Let's keep these for later. We have to find out where Elli, 88, and 89 are." "Places to Hold Traitors,” Rose read. "Well, the answer to all of our questions," he said. ”Who opens it?” she asked. ”I will," he said. ”What’s in it?” Rose asked. "A picture of a dungeon," Jake said. "It looks like the one I was in at the academy." "I know where that dungeon is,” she said. “I was assigned to guard it once.” "Ok, let's go then," Jake said. "I'll show you," she said. "Ok," he said. "How do we wake up?" Conveniently, there was a loud bang and they woke up. "Whoa, what just happened?" Jake asked. ”I think someone set off a bottle rocket,” she said. Jake looked at Spud, who was whistling innocently. "Why’d you do that?” Jake asked. "Kicks?" he said. "Well, you did wake us up,” he said. "That a bad thing?" Spud asked. "We were trying to figure out how to wake up anyway,” Jake said. "Oh," Spud said smiling. ”Up for a trip to a dungeon?” Rose asked. "Sure," Spud said. "You sure?" Jake said. "Yeah," he said. "This way," Rose said, leading them away. They followed. "Just one question," Trixie said. "Yes?” Rose asked. "How are we gonna get past a whole bunch of Hunts guard dudes?" she asked. "We have a dragon and Huntsgirl,” she said. "But I'm sure there are lots," she said. "Huntsgirl, that you?" a girl with red hair and a mask asked. "Piranha?" Rose asked. "Yes, it’s me,” she said with an Australian accent. "You here to start the rebellion we talked about?“ Rose asked. "Did I miss something?" Jake asked. "We talked about a rebellion some day,” Piranha said. "Uh, have we met?" Jake asked. "Are you the American dragon?” she asked. "Who wants to know?" he asked. "Pammy,” she said. "Tell him about our plans,” Rose said. "Plans?" Jake asked, confused. "To trap the Huntsclan, starting with the academy,” Pammy said. “I was sick of the Clan by the time Rosie came back and actually got to know some the so-called enemies, and they’re good beings.” "Good to know someone cares," Jake said. "There were a few of us, but most have disappeared,” she said. "What happened?" he asked. "I went to see them and their dorms were completely empty,” Pammy explained. “And they didn’t come to class. I’m surprised I haven’t been caught.” "Probably the Huntsman's work..." Jake said. "No duh,” she said. "Don't be smart with me," Jake said. "When I didn't see Rosie, I thought she’d been caught.” "Rosie?" Jake laughed. "Cool nickname. I might use that one." He glanced at Rose. "Don’t you dare, Dragon Boy,” she said. "Or what?" he asked. "You’ll find out,” Rose said. "Uh huh," Jake said. "You two a couple?” Pammy asked. “There were rumors that you loved a dragon.” "Oh yeah," Jake said. "Me and ‘Rosie’ are definitely a couple." "Cool,” she said. “I like dragons. I heard 88 and 89 changed sides.” "They did," Jake said. "After shooting at my sis like a shish kebab." "Your sister, I’m sorry,” she said. “Karen disappeared.” "Karen?" Rose asked. “You don’t mean my sister?” Jake suddenly put a hand on her shoulder. ”No, my sister,” Pammy said. "I didn’t know you had a sister,” she said. "She disappeared on her 8th birthday,” she said. "I'm sorry to hear that," Rose said. "How old is your sister, Dragon?” Pammy asked. "Name's Jake," he said. "And she's 8 too." "Karen looks 6,” Pammy said. “Tiny for her age.” "Haley too," Jake said. "We nicknamed her Baby,” she said. “I miss her.” "Sorry about your sis," Jake said. "You'll probably find her if you look hard enough." "So, what brings you guys here?” she asked, changing the subject. "We're looking for our friends," Trixie explained. "What do they look like?” Pammy asked. "One was an Elf," Trixie said. "And two in Huntsboy uniforms." "88 and 89?” she asked. "That would be correct," Jake said. "They weren’t in class,” she said. “Plus the rumors…” "Rumors?" Rose asked. "Even if they skipped class, they snuck in for lunch,” she said. “And that they joined up with a dragon.” "Me, apparently,” Jake said. “Do you know where they are?” "We’re close to the cells,” she said. “Your Elf friend shouldn’t be too hard to spot.” "We need to go now then," Jake said. "We’re just a little way away,” she said. "Can you take us?" he asked. "This elevator should take us,” Pammy said. They climbed in the elevator. "Remember this?” Rose asked. "Yeah," Jake said. "Site of our first real kiss,” she said. He smiled. "You two kissed on the elevator to the arena?” Pammy asked. "Yep," Jake said. She rolled her eyes. "What?" "You can't keep your hands off each other even when facing death!“ she said. Jake laughed. "You got that right," he said, touching Rose on the shoulder. "I have something to confess,” Pammy said. "What?" Jake asked. I love an Elf,” she says "Aw that's so sweet," Spud said. "What's his name?" " Lenwë Cúthalion," she said. “But I call him Lenny.” "Oh," Jake said. "Does he live in New York?" "Yes,” she said. “He’s the big reason I’m risking my hide in this region.” "Cool," he said. "We almost there?" "Let's go," Rose said. "I can't stand the thought of anymore magical beings dying,” she said. "Me neither," Rose said. Jake tried to open the door but it was locked. He kicked it down. The three guards rushed at them. Pammy stunned one. "Go onion power!" Spud said, throwing an onion...it didn’t have much effect. Jake knocked one out with his tail. Rose kicked the last remaining one. "Piece of cake!" Jake said. "Yo, anyone want out of here?” "You came back?" Jamal asked. "Like my friend in Hawaii says,” he said. “Nobody gets left behind!” Elli woke up then. "What happened?" she asked. "Where are we?" "You were captured,” Pammy said, removing her mask. "Nobody move," Elli said. "I’m on your side,” she said, confused. "Shh!" she said. "Somebody's coming. Get down!" They went down as low as possible. It was a tall elf with brown hair and brown eyes, Lenny. "Elli? What are you doing here?" he asked. "Pammy?" "Lenny!” she exclaimed. “What are you doing here? I’m helping my friends get out.” "Looking for a way out," he said. "It's like a labyrinth in here." "Did Skull Face capture you?” Rose asked. "Yes," he admitted. "A few days ago. That's why I've been gone. Someone let me go though. Some girl. Don't know her name. She just let me go and took off. Was a Huntsclan member too." "Jake!" Elli said. "Don't step--" Jake stepped on a tile that was different colored then the rest and fell down a tunnel. There was a thump. "I'm ok!" Jake called up. "I'll just fly ou--" Jake started, but the tunnel shut and he was cut off so the rest couldn't hear him.
