Sorry about this chapter being short but I just wanted a brief chapter about them getting from point A to point B. --------------------------------
Chapter 63: Sneaking Away
Jake and Rose watched on in the councilors’ section of the arena with Dave. Kulde was expected to give a report on how the crew recruiting was going and give information when the strike against the Dark Dragon was to start. Dave glared in anger at the center when he turned and walked away. Rose and Jake looked at each other and followed. “Dave where are you going?” Jake asked when they were out of the fighting arena. “I am going to find the Dark Dragon now,” Dave told him, transforming to his dragon form.
“We are coming with you!” Rose said. “No, you two will stay here. It is too dangerous for you Rose,” Dave said. “I am coming!” Jake stated. “As am I!” Rose said. Dave shook his head. “I am not going to risk your child Rose,” Dave told her. “If it seems too dangerous, I will leave,” Rose said. Dave sighed and nodded. They took flight and headed for his volcano lair where they suspected he would be at. They walked in slowly and looked around when they say a familiar dragon standing in the middle of a platform surrounded by lava.

Chapter 64: Battle of the Grands
Dave and Jake stood side by side and looked at Laoshi standing in his dragon form in the middle of the platform. Rose gasped out of brief shock but went to take her place next to Jake. “No Rose, this is our battle,” Jake said without even looking at her. Rose protested but she eventually gave in after a few moments and backed away off the platform, watching the events unravel themselves at a safe distance. “What do we do now?” Jake asked. “We fight,” Dave said.
“Can you beat me?” Laoshi asked, getting in a fighting stance. “This isn’t Laoshi,” Dave said. Jake looked at Dave in shock for a moment. He usually called Laoshi gramps, not by his real name. “How do I know that you are not controlled Dave?” Jake asked suspiciously. “Because if I was you’d be dead by now,” Dave told him. Jake didn’t know what to believe but he thought that he had no choice but to trust Dave at the moment. They both flew forward at Laoshi and shot fire at him. Laoshi moved and swung his tail at Dave. The tail hit Dave and it had such force behind it that it knocked Dave out. Jake flew forward and attacked Laoshi with his claws. Laoshi growled and swept a hand at Jake, knocking him back. Jake flew back at Loashi, striking with his claws. Laoshi was hit and finally a voice rang out, “Enough!” Jake looked over to see a woman standing there. Dave woke up and looked over to see the woman as well. Laoshi then swayed and collapsed to the ground. “I don’t need him anymore,” the woman said. Jake ran to his grandfather and Dave stood up. “You have some nerve,” Dave growled. Rose quickly flew next to Jake and helped him carry Laoshi out of the cave. “Time for you to go down Karalyn,” Dave said, transforming to his human form, pulling out the sword he saved for the Dark Dragon.

Chapter 65: Duel Of The Destined
Karalyn looked softly into Dave’s eyes and Dave showed nothing but pure anger back at her. Then she sighed and pulled out two Hunts Staffs. Dave looked at them and she changed them into blades.
Dave looked at the blade that he held in his hand. The Huntsmaster had one as well.
Dave looked at Karalyn as she threw one at him. He grabbed it and threw his regular sword away. Karalyn stared at Dave and prepared to attack. Dave drew the sword back into a fighting stance.
Rose and Jake carried Laoshi outside of the volcano and set him down gently. “What do we do about Dave?” Rose asked. “We got to trust him right now,” Jake said. Rose looked at the top of the volcano and quickly thought.
Dave charged at Karalyn and struck at her twice. The swords bounced off each other and hit the ground, making marks that proved the battle occurred. Karalyn brought her sword back and swung it forward at Dave.
Rose flew up and Jake looked at her. “Rose, what are you doing?” he called out to her. “Making sure a friend doesn’t get killed!” she yelled back to Jake and flew over the top, looking down at the battle.
Dave avoided the strike and struck at Karalyn again. “What do you hope to accomplish?” Karalyn asked him as their swords were locked together. “I hope to take out another bad person in the world!” Dave said to her angrily.
Jake flew up to Rose, leaving Laoshi behind. “What is happening?” Jake asked, looking down upon the scene.
Dave and Karalyn struggled, staring each other in the eyes when something unexpected happened. They both dropped their swords and held onto each other. “I still love you Dave!” Karalyn said. “I love you too baby,” Dave said and they kissed.
Jake and Rose’s eyes opened wide when they saw what was happening. “I mean, I don’t want to see anyone killed but why did they stop fighting and start kissing?!” Jake said angrily, staring at them.
“Let’s stay together,” Karalyn said softly, looking at Dave. “I wish we could but we both know what we have to do. And Karalyn,” Dave said to her softly. “Yes?” Karalyn answered back just as softly. “I didn’t try to kill you that day. I did some research and found out that Brian did it,” Dave told her. “What?” Karalyn asked in disbelief looking at Dave. “I am sorry, but it was a Huntsclan member that did it,” Dave told her.
“They are acting like nothing happened!” Jake almost shouted angrily. “Jake, be quiet!” Rose snapped at him as she turned back to the scene.
Karalyn started to have tears form in her eyes as she held onto Dave. “I’m sorry! If I knew I wouldn’t have...,” she started but Dave looked at her. “Let’s finish this,” he said and Karalyn showed her tear filled eyes to Dave hoping that he would reconsider but down in her heart, she knew they had to do it.
“Rose, let’s go,” Jake said softly to Rose but Rose shook her head and held onto Jake’s hand.
Dave and Karalyn kissed again before they went to their swords. They were now hesitant when they continued fighting but they still kept fighting. Then Karalyn’s sword went flying behind her and into lava. Dave then accidentally stabbed Karalyn through the chest. Her mouth opened in a gasp and Dave pulled the sword out and grabbed Karalyn as she started falling to the ground. They both collapsed onto the ground and Dave started to feel sadness taking over him once again. “Karalyn, I’m sorry...,” he whispered to her. “No, don’t be. This is the way things were meant to be,” Karalyn told him. “I wish this didn’t have to happen,” Dave said. “Dave, I have always loved you,” she told him. “And I, you Karalyn,” Dave said. “Grant me, one last kiss,” she said. They embraced and kissed each other before Karalyn fell out of his arms, dead.
Rose placed her head against Jake’s chest for a moment and then they flew in and landed next to Dave. “I’m sorry Karalyn,” Dave whispered, picking her body up and carrying it to the edge of the platform. “I love you,” he said and placed her body in the lava. It slowly sunk down, burning her body away. Dave turned away and had a breakdown, crying on the ground with Rose and Jake trying to comfort him.

Chapter 66: Anger Evolved
Dave looked up with anger on his face. “D..D...ave?” Jake asked in slight shock and Dave stood up, grabbing the Dark Dragon’s sword. “He is the cause of all of this,” Dave said angrily. Jake took a quick step back as Dave swung the sword. “Dark Dragon! Come out now!” Dave yelled out looking around. Rose flew out of the cave to get help while Jake grabbed Dave’s shoulders. “Dave! Stop this now!” Jake said to Dave but Dave cut Jake across his stomach with the sword. Jake stumbled back and reached down and felt the warm blood running on his hands. “Dave, why?” Jake asked. Dave’s eyes started to get a yellow tint and he felt his transformation coming on. “Dave! Control your anger! You are becoming like the Dark Dragon!” Jake yelled, running up to his brother and grabbing onto him. Dave knocked Jake back and gave a growl. Jake knew his brother was giving into the darkness within. “Dave! If you don’t relax you will become the next Dark Dragon!” Jake yelled to him. Dave just took a step towards Jake and Jake gasped but Dave struck forward at Jake. Jake rolled out of the way and turned to see the Dark Dragon coming out of the lava. “Very good. My plan is working just fine. Soon you will be with me Dave,” the Dark Dragon said. “I will never join you!” Dave yelled and charged at him. The Dark Dragon moved and smiled, “You are turning into a dark dragon Dave. Should something happen to me, you will take my place,” he said to Dave. Dave charged at him again, bringing his sword back for a fatal strike before he was stopped by a female voice yelling, “You kill him and you’ll never know the truth!”
Dave turned and said, “Chang!” Chang smiled and said, “Where is Laoshi?” Jake knew there was mockery in her voice. “He is outside for your information,” Jake snapped at Chang. “That is no way to talk to your grandmother,” Chang told him. “I don’t really care,” Jake said. “Well, did you at least have fun fighting him?” Chang asked. “Wha?” Jake asked questioningly. “He fought you under his own control for the first part. He was too hesitant though and I took control of him,” Chang said.
“When was he fighting of his own free will?” Jake asked. "When you first saw him. Then he wouldn’t do anything so I controlled him,” Chang told him. “Why did you control him? Why was he fighting us?!” Jake yelled at Chang. “He was going to fight you to protect me and our love,” Chang said. “What love?!” Jake almost exploded. Chang smiled and said, “We love each other. In fact, it is time for you to learn more about your ancestry and about most of what is going on here.”

Chapter 67: The Past Revealed
“What do you mean Chang?” Dave asked. Chang glared at Dave and then she started her tale.
Chang ran down the crowded streets of China. She successfully kidnapped the child from America and was bringing it to her master. Unknown to her master, she was both the child’s and her master’s grandmother. Chang found people staring at her running down the streets with a child in her arms. Chang gave a quick scoff and found the little alleyway that she was looking for.
“You mean you knew all along that you were my grandmother?” the Dark Dragon asked which surprised Dave and Jake. “Yes, I knew all along,” Chang said.
Chang dropped down into the sewer. The smell was horrible but she needed to get to her master. “Master?” Chang called out softly, walking in the knee-deep water. Chang gave an evil smile down at the child. ‘So much for the American Dragon,’ she thought.
“So you got the wrong child?” Jake asked. “Yes, I unfortunately did,” Chang said.
She looked up ahead to see her grandson up ahead. “Master, I got the American Dragon,” she said, bowing down to the Dark Dragon. “Thank you Chang. I am going to leave for the Isle of Draco now. I shall raise the child there for a few years,” the Dark Dragon said. “Are you sure that is a good idea master?” Chang asked. “I have a plan,” the Dark Dragon said and flew off. Chang looked after him and thought, ‘He is such a handsome, mature dragon. If I wasn’t his grandmother...,’
“You had a crush on him even though he was your own grandson?” Dave asked. “Yes, I did,” Chang said. “You acted out your fantasy though. We had a child,” the Dark Dragon said.
Chang walked into her house to look for her husband. She saw him on the couch, putting the phone down. “Hey darling,” Chang said, getting on the couch next to Laoshi. “It looks like we are grandparents. Our daughter had a child,” Laoshi told her.
“Mom is the child of you and Gramps?!” Jake about exploded. “Yes, she is. Just as you are our grandson,” Chang said.
Chang grinned. He didn’t know that there was a twin. “When was the child born?” Chang asked. “It was born a few days ago,” Laoshi said. “That sounds good,” Chang said, leaning forward and kissed Laoshi.
“You knew all along that I was born and yet you lied to him!” Dave exploded. “Why is Dave turning evil?” Jake asked and Dave glared at him. “I can tell that story,” the Dark Dragon said.
The Dark Dragon smiled at the baby in the cradle. The cradle was transferring dark magic to the child. “Ah, my darling Dave. You will rule with me one day,” he says, stroking the baby.
“I was exposed to the cradle,” Dave said. “Yes, and that is why you look like me. We take on the look of evil dragons,” the Dark Dragon said. “So, do you mean that I still haven’t seen my real dragon form yet?” Dave asked. “That is correct,” the Dark Dragon said. If there was one mistake that Chang and the Dark Dragon made, it was sharing their stories. Dave was now partly relaxed from the evil. Dave stood up and said, “Let’s rock!” as he pointed his sword at the Dark Dragon and Chang.
