A Saturday. A day that’s supposed to result in happiness, no homework, everything else that you could possibly enjoy.
Haha. You’d like that, wouldn’t you?
Well, these teens would. It’s currently Saturday for them, and they had plans on going to the amusement park that had been recently set up in their city. But, by a cruel twist of fate, or perhaps karma, that was quickly changed. It began to rain. Hard, if I might add. Once you add in all the thunder and lighting, it causes all of your lovely plans to get canceled. And what sucks even more? Right before you’re about to leave, it starts raining like mad.
Ouch, bummer.
“Guys, what exactly are we going to do?” A female complained. She had red and black layered hair that fell to the end of her ribcage and piercing blue eyes that had dark circles under them, like she hadn’t slept in days. Her clothing was … how do I put this? Wild. White stockings with fishnets over them, black socks that went up to her knees, ballet flats. A ruby red skirt and a black and red button up top with small, skater like, gloves. Don’t even get me started on the choker and necklaces.
This, of course, was followed by a bunch of sighs. This weird looking teenager had a point – what exactly where they going to do? They really couldn’t go outside, for the thunder and lighting, thus, resulting in their Saturday plans getting ruined. For now, they were stuck in Jake’s huge basement that was basically more like a hang out than anything.
“We could … play a card game? Poker?” Trixie suggested, not actually having what they really could do. Some people shook their heads no, others said nothing. She gave another shrug, “Then what? We can’t play video games; people would get way too annoyed while waiting to play them.”
Suddenly, two pairs of eyes looked at each other and smiled. The person that was sitting in between them, a black haired teenage boy, gave a gulp. Whatever his girlfriend and best friend were thinking was clearly not the brightest idea. He ignored them, however, and went back to absent-mindly playing with a strand of his girlfriends’ colourful hair.
“Oh, you have got to be kidding me! That?” A voice struck out, even if something hadn’t been said. It was obvious as to what she was: a mind reader. The two pairs of eyes just drifted over to the girl who had left that comment, whose name was Leah, and just smiled from ear to ear.
“Ash, Liam. Are you serious?” Leah asked her friends, but she knew she was just wasting her time. The two best friends nodded their head, implying yes. Both Leah and the colourful haired girls’ boyfriend let out a wide groan.
“Everyone! I have a game we can play,” A boy with shaggy, dirty blonde hair and blue eyes said. Liam. The black haired teen and Leah just let out another groan. Once Liam has an idea, there is no way that you can stop him from getting his way. It was it that, or be scared for life by something most people really didn’t want to see.
“And that would be, Liam?” Florence asked calmly. Her intuition was saying that this would not be good. Not be good at all.
“The, oh so, cliché game of Truth or Dare!” Ash suddenly exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as they did so, causing the bags under her eyes to slowly turn lighter – but they would turn back to the colour they were before.
A wide set of grins was spread across Spud, Jake, Liam, Ash, and Trixie’s face. Ariana, Shade, Florence, Elaine, Lewis, Leah and Ben groaned. It wasn’t even equal – there were far more groaners than people who actually seemed happy by this game.
“Oh, come on! It’s not like we have anything else to do on this boring, Saturday!” Ash retorted her game. As much as she knew she’d wind up blushing like a complete fool, she loved the game to bits. Just like everyone else, even if they were in the simple denial about hating the game. Mostly because it caused people to wind up blushing and admitting their deepest darkest secrets.
“She’s got a point, you know,” Jake defended her statement. Both Liam and Ash beamed at their friend as a few more groans and sighs were heard throughout the room.
“Seriously, what’s the worst that could happen? It’s not like we can actually go anywhere, like to the mall to do some of these crazy dares.” Let’s just hope this attempt was actually going to work on people.
“I guess it’s worth a shot. Ash is right, we do have nothing to do,” Shade said, finally giving into the battle that would have been lost by the groaners either way.
“Let’s begin, shall we?” Jake asked, standing up from his seat. A few people cringed, but most people sighed and cave into their already lost battle.
There was no way out of this.
“Lewis, don’t even bother. You’ve got no way out of this,” Both Leah and Ash said at the same time. Even if Ash wasn’t a mind reader like Leah, she knew all to well when her boyfriend would try to get out of something like this. It happened everytime; even when it was just her, him and Liam doing the cliché game of truth or dare. Lewis debated on having a clever comeback towards that comment, but he knew it wouldn’t matter in the end. Ash would probably just bribe him somehow with something. Either that or she’d actually drag him back. He was stuck. Poor, poor Lewis. Let’s all give him a pat on the head, shall we? No? Okay, I assume that Lewis will live then.
And yet again, I repeat. There was simply no way out of this. You have a mind reader who can track your every thought, and a vampire who was keen on movement and could easily tell if your where out of the room by your blood smell missing.
Suckerssss. Can I say ‘life sucks for you’ much?
“Alright! I’ll begin. Jake, truth or dare?” Liam spoke, crossing his legs at he sat down.
Obviously, Jake chose Dare. He didn’t want to be classified as a wimp in the eyes of most people.
“I dare you too …”
