"Yo, Trix, we're gunna be late again!" yelled Jake as he and his friends skateboarded to his Grandfather's shop.
"Jakey, just keep skatin like you mean it, cause you ain't gettin there any fasta with you yappin!" snapped back his African American Friend.
"Fine..." answered Jake.
~Canal Street Electronics(after Jake gets yelled at and training is over)~
"Remember, tomorrow, training at 3'O'Clock sharp and I want you here on time!" shouted Laoshi.
"Right Gramps..." mumbled a very tired Jake. It was 11'O'Clock at night and he hadn't done any of his homework."I'll be here...*yawn* at 3'oclock..." mumbled Jake one last time as he left the shop.
"Aiya, when will he learn that he needs to train hard!" Laoshi muttered as he walked to the back of the shop.
"Hey Lao, don't ya think yu're kinda putting the kid through a lot?" asked Fu-dogg.
"What are you talking about Fu?" asked Laoshi as he sat down on the couch.
"Well, I mean, late hours, endless training, always yelling at him..." said Fu.
"If I do not push him, then he will never learn!" stated Laoshi.
"But if you push him to hard... he might lose more than just his sleep!" pointed out Fu.
"...Hmm... I see your point Fu... maybe I should give him a break for the week so he can gather his strength?" ponered Laoshi.
"Okay, now he can find sometime to relax and we can do some more stuff, like fighting off the bad guys for once, and if we need the kid's help then wee call!" exclaimed Fu.
"Very well..." mumbled Laoshi as he fell asleep.
"Then again, your not as young as you used to be..." started Fu.
~Jake's house~
"JACOB HUEY LONG WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN YOUNG MAN!!!" shouted his mother as he opened the door.
"I*yawn* was training at *yawn* Gramps..." muttered Jake as he started to walk upstairs.
"Make sure you do your homework!" called his mother. She was worried that her father had been working him to hard and it was true, but then the phone rang.
"Hello, Long residence, how can I help you?" asked Susan(Jake's mom's name)
"Hey there, Susan it me Fu!" called Fu from the shop.
"Oh hi Fu, whats the matter, do you need Jake?" asked Susan.
"No its nothin like that, just let the kid know that he has the week off from Dragon business, so he can relax a bit, but make sure that if we need him, he can come!" stated Fu.
"Really, well, I'm sure he'll like the sound of that!" exclaimed Susan.
"I'm sure, but let him act normal for the next week, I'm sure he could use some sleep and let his grades get a boost or two, hehe!" stated Fu.
"Yes, thanks Fu!" said Susan
"No prob, see ya later!" answered Fu as he hung up.
"Bye!" Susan said as she hung up. She walked up to Jake's room and looked in. Jake was doing his homework, but was nodding off.
"Jake?" asked Susan.
"Huh, Mom?" asked Jake as he yawned and rubbed his eyes.
"Fu, just called to say you have the week off from dragon stuff, but be ready to go if they need you!" smiled Susan.
"Really?" asked Jake as he yawned again.
"Yes, so I'm letting you stay home tomorrow and rest, but school the next day, and then Monday through!" stated Susan.
"What, really?!" asked Jake, now a little awake.
"Yes, now go to sleep and rest!" Susan said as she turned away from the door and walked to the stairs.
"Okay, thanks mom..." was all Susan heard come from her son because she soon heard a soft snore that belonged to him. She walked back to his door and saw him on his bed, still in his jacket and jeans.
"You're welcome sweety..." said Susan as she closed the door.
Little did Fu and Laoshi know... the Dark Dragon was watching Jake get vulnerable from the training! He had his eye on Jake and a girl in his grade, that just started in his class, a few days ago... Her name is Phoebe Xin(Heart in Chinese). She found a small amulet in her house and now she will have to choose... to save her friends or herself, now that the Dark Dragon sees what she is meant to do!
Hows that, I think its good! Tell me what you think!
