Why do/did you watch ADJL?
I watched for the Rose/Jake story.

It was like: Hm, I like cartoons. Hm, I like dragons. I LIKE THIS SHOW! Not before long I had enough of those cheesy translated ones and started looking for them on the internet. Found them all thanks to DD'08.
Especially the dragon part sparked my interrests.

I'm not exactly sure why I started watching it. I think I saw the commercial for it on TV about a month before its premiere and thought it looked interesting. I remember watching the premiere when I got back from a basketball game, and I was pretty much hooked.
I watch the show because I find it funny, and it usually has a great storyline to it, especially when following the main storyline.

I watched for the Rose/Jake story. Same here. I was flipping channels, and "The Hunted" was on. It was near the end. So, when the episode ended I really wanted to know if Jake and Rose were going to get back together. That was like, a week before Season Two started too. That's really how I got into it/why I remained with it. I didn't care much for the filler episodes, I just wanted to see cute Jake/Rose moments hahaha. Although, some of the "filler" episodes were good. Bring It On is still my favourite.

I had caught the premiers/preview episode and was thinking "iol give it a try" watched it and hated it. as it turns out, I somehow caught a showing of Dragon Breath, before the show officially launched, I’m still lost as of to why though... After that I wasn’t interested in it at all. But as fortune holds I saw another episode Old School Training, and from then on was watching and recording every episode on VHS. (apparently this was the premier episode... then I was even more lost on why I had seen the previous one mentioned first...) Had a relapse into hatred when season two started, but shurly enough they showed a killer of an episode and I was hooked again. This is when I came looking for ADJL websites and found this place

I just saw a premiere for the show, thought it looked cool, watched it and was hooked from the first episode. I think the Jake/Rose storyline was one of the things that kept me interesting. Plus, being a younger teen at the time I felt I could relate to Jake's character a little (you know, minus the whole half human, half dragon thing ). I also liked the references that were constantly made to Shakespearean works, it gave the show a bit more depth and maturity. I feel it kinda sucks though seeing as the target audience wouldn't really be able to appreciate them, because some of them were quite clever ie. the whole 'Romeo and Juliet' reference in 'The Academy' where Jake drank a potion in order to fake his own death.

Two reasons: Jake/Rose and dragons.

Pardon me, Italian, but you already posted in the thread... what you're doing at this point is borderline rankposting. You've already extended your opinion, so now just let it rest. Just posting "Dragon Lovers forever xDDDDDD" is kind of meaningless and unnecessary. Just try to cut down on stuff like that. Thanks. =]

And the things like dopplegangers were actually used more than once compared to the shapeshifting potion in ep 2 of season 1 of which we never saw again.............
