I've heard some great things about it so far. Can't see myself not seeing it; might head to the theater sometime this weekend to see both it and Princess and the Frog, since those two are on my list of movies I gotta see this break.

Can't see myself not seeing it. There was simply no need for that double negative . I also liked the southpark parody of the movie, that was great.

i would give it an 8.5 out of 10 and apparently halo copied alot of its vehicles from the sketches of this movie

I watched the Movie ( not Avatar : TLA ) and that was awesome ! ( watched it in 3D ^^). I already saw it twice and I might see it a third time with my best friend. That was totally badass and O.O the details of everything. That the only fictional movie I saw where at the end you have a standing ovation. I'll give it a 9.5/10 .

HOLY parc!
that was literally the greatest 2 hours and 40 minutes of my life. the stunning visuals beautifully meshed to tell a story in such an imersive way that i couldn't believe that it wasn't real at one point! this move has gotten so deep in to my mind from that one showing i caught that i cant sleep right any more!
from my first showing of this movie i would give it a 10/10. a perfect! something this major star wars geek hasn't even given to any star wars movie before! (however that might have changed if i had saw Star Wars Episode 6 in theaters for my first time...)
my IMAX showing of Avatar soled out 3 hours in advance.... so i messed it, but i did catch a 3D showing and was dazzled and awestruck by it. I'm heading back soon to see it again in IMAX 3D.
roomer has it that this might be the first of a trilogy... (not shore how i feel about that)
edit....
i must add, this rating is after 3 days of pure reflection on the movie. For all those that think the dialog is bad, go watch something else then. the dialog is perfectly fine and works for what its purpose is in the movie. think about how a person would react and how a person would speak. now try to do what you want as the perfect line. its unnatural and thus not given.

heading back today at 8PM (20 on some clocks) to see it in IMAX finally! bought the tickets in advance. time to experience the world all over again! *grabs some front row seats that ways the screen fills his vision* commence the jaw dislocation and drooling
this movie is really best experienced rather than seen. go grab some 3D and IMAX if you can and sit close to the screen. its a feeling like non other!

Ah..., seen the movie a couple of days ago. I was absolutely awestruck, kept me mezmerised the rest of the day... Later that day a mate in the hostel asked me what the movie was about, and I couldn't tell him because that would tear down the movie. It took me about 15 minutes to formulate the reason to this, but now its quite obvious: The story is quite plain, the turn was not even ment to be a surprise aswell as the love story (most surprising about it was there was no big fuss about the union) even the ending was obvious from the moment the guy declines to get himself repaired (trying not to spoil anything, pardon if i do) Before you attempt to decapitate me, behold the reason why this movie is so devastatingly awesome: - First in place is the reality of Pandora, a completely digital world but so livelike there was absolutely no telling the movie apart from a documentary. - Second would be the realism of the charaters: although every movie character has bloated features Avatar managed to keep it either funny or realistic. The reason why man kills all is so digsusting it just has to be true, scientist are genuinely interested in everything around them and the Na'vi are so shamanistic they don't even make a big fuss about "the union." - Finaly the story: without a seconds notice one gets sucked into the story and the life on Pandora, believing in the (afterward seemingly simplistic) way of life. Personaly, the 3D didn't really do much good in my opinion, but with or without the extra dimension. But it has been the best movie I've seen in years! And indeed the Avatar page sais there will be 2 more sequels (if the movie would be a succes, so this will happen...), can't wait tbh Hope I didn't bore the living dailight out of you.
