Well, me too, I agree, Super AMOLED also gets a future vision for being entering into the TV world. But for now it's still stuck towards smartphones and we have to wait until June or July when the new AMOLED factory will be opened.
For the smartphone time, I hope SAMOLED itself hopefully will be able to find some great pixel density that will match or beat Retina.

portables the only counsel type i'm all ways interested in and from the looks of it Sony may have a Nintendo killer on its hands. the 3DS is causing a parc loads of problems, cost 250$ and isa going to be really over shadowed on controls and tech by the PSP2. i'm generally a Nintendo fan but its looking like theres a PSP2 in my future.

Same here Clone. Plus having the 3d o a small screen like thati s quite worthless, as it loks way better on a big screen.

regardless of screen sizing, the 3DS is currently a known hazard to eyes when the 3D mode is active, it is suggested to play it like that for no more than 15 minutes before taking a break. sooo..... looks like i wouldn't really even be using the 3D mode on the 3DS, so for me its just going to be an upgraded DSi. (whats funny is the games on the 3DS look better than any Wii game i've played!)
however the PSP2's got some really crazy parc cooking thats got my nerd all happy, really want to mess with one. (3G support, back panel touch sensor, duel joy sticks, and the head of Sony's saying its games will look similar to the PS3's visuals. CRAZY! like crazy expensive probably too....)

I remember the Nintendo DS still remains the same, being small screen and yet the emulators cannot go full screen. And worse, the emulators still remain unstable and no major news whether it can run intense modern games like those of today.

most likely the reason why DS emulators have problems is related to the way that the DS processes information, its got two different processors. both are ARM but form two different generations, so adapting the code to be able to emulate that correctly's obviously proven difficult (in the past getting 3D acceleration on the emulation platform was hard as hell too), used to be only 2D games supported by those emulators). however Ive had much success with a certon one with running Black and Whit version of Pokemon. (yes, i am a poke'nerd)

Ahh yes, you're good on that part. 2D games look working very well before as I remembered watching it in action on certain games, but with 3D elements inside, that won't work very well, it's just like it's trying to force mixing oil & water.

Sweet! i can get 75$ off of the 3DS by turning in my DSi. that's 25 more than i thought i would get!
the portable sections starting to get expensive though. im not going to be to happy when portables start to cost more than the counsels. (hell i only payed 300 for my PS3 and 90 for my Xbox 360, and its looking like the PSP2's going to be in the three hundreds)

so who wants to crunch some numbers whit me to prove that Crysis is no longer a decent benchmarking game for Nvidia VS ATI/AMD? got a bunch of current test results where, no mater what, even if the ATI card lost in almost all of the benchmarks it still won the Crysis bench.
in general, sub 150$ you want to go Nvidia according to the numbers i've been getting, between 160 and 250, ATI/AMD's the way to go, then from 260 to 300 its a mix and then form 310 and up its all Nvidia.
Also in the news, Windows 8 officially announced to fully support ARM processors! Nvidia is listed as an official supplier of ARM processors, along with Texas Interments and a few others. time for an ARM Vs X86 show down! the word is that ARM will be for its mobile implementations and will be running a streamlined version of Windows, while X86 will still remain the dominate desktop and laptop processor and feature the full version of windows. (sounds like MS is working on a Tablet only version)

Windows 8 already out for preview? Wow, I want to see it.
Moroever, Flash 10.2, with the results I saw on both Windows & Mac, I got the feeling Steve Jobs will be in trouble by the time Honeycomb & Ice Cream Sandwich comes out this year. Android ready to go FTW!!

well, MS only showed off a tiny bit of Windows 8, and about all that it was was the ARM version. supposed time line for early beta (closed) is end of 2011, early 2012. launch is proposed for late 2012 to 2013.
lol, got to love the naming schemes of company's, "Honeycomb & Ice Cream Sandwich" speaking of Android, im looking to to one as my replacement for my current phone once i switch services to Verizon.

Usually my country don't come with attached carriers, they do but not very often compare to yours. So I have no concerns, but what I'm concern is hopefully Samsung or any other smartphone makers better not stall themselves again when Apple is still taking a huge lead. Samsung faced palmed us last year, so hopefully it's better be something good again.
Most importantly, with Flash 10.2 coming right up, it will be a good news for Android fans to see their Android phones finally getting more power efficient than ever and Steve Jobs is going to sweat quite a lot and decide to accept Flash again in his future iPhone model. Once rejected as a bullsh*tty move and now becomes a "I shouldn't have banned Flash in the earlier times".

I have to agree with Kokusho. Banning flash form the system was just stupid as it's used pretty much everywhere. I bet that someone is now headbanging a wall in desperation because of this stupid decision
