Seen it twice! Great stuff. Definitely worth a repeated viewing. Great visuals, great score, slightly lacking story that is made up for by the visuals and score. The 3D was good too!

I haven't yet seen the new one, but the original is on youtube, I watched it for the first time a few days ago, so you had better check it out before it gets taken down, if its still up.

I guess I'll go to see it when I'll be back from vacations. It's been a while since I've been to watch a movie in theaters

I liked it and other people who saw it liked it too. Music and visuals were obviously the best part, but the storyline wasn't as bad as the critics made it out to be, at least to me. I'd watch it again.

Review!
TRON Legacy is a wonderful Visual and audio spectacle that suffers form to many wrighters syndrome. (there were 6 wrighters on it) the visuals are captivating and feel completely new while the Techno undertones from Daft Punk give the movie a distinctive Audio feel that continues to compliment the amassing visuals. but as i all ready said the story is less than desirable. in my book it was even worse than AVATAR's generic story form the stand point of you knew with out a dough what was going to happen the moment the two Flynn's met. the girl was goign to escape, main character was goign to be just fine and Old Flynn was goign to die. but for me most of this predictability was lessened by the epic battles in light cycles and some sort of flying contraption (sorry i'm not a TRON know it all, but BOY do i love Light Cycle battles!)
the movie showed its influences proudly with references and characters based on others were all ready familiar with, such as Old Flynn is a vary heavily Benn-kenobi esk character, with the traditional Jedi garb and similar attitude. while some were more obscure such as the Penguin esk Zuse, with his cane of tricks and personality. i rather enjoyed these and see it as a plus to the movie.
but heirs where the visual prowess showed an under developed initiative. the 3D. while the movie was available in 3D in both IMAX and DLP3D it did little to help the movie for it was either not there at all or was hardly noticeable. so there is hardly a reason to see this movie in 3D unless your an avid 3D fan or a TRON fan. (i saw it in 3D twice because that's all that my theater offered)
CG was astounding but even more interesting was the inclusion of 100% CGI faces on two main characters, CLUE and Tron AKA Rinzler. while the body's were played by actors the faces were all CGI. while it wasn't the most life like Ive ever seen. (facial expressions and hair were give away) it was non the less the first time Ive seen it so nonchalantly used. its only truly in the close up shots where the vail of human falls off, a truly remarkable feet for Disney.
in the end this movie gets a good solid 9/10 on the old scale and a 4/5 on the new. greatly enjoyable as long as you can look past the lack luster story.

What I do agree on is the visuals are great and it's an entertaining flick. It defenetly deserves a spot in my blu-ray shelf for those reasons only. It will be good to show off my TV with but the story wasn't that good at all, acting was no more than average especially from Jeff Bridges who did 10 times better in "The Big Lebowski". 3D sucked compared to Avatar. Looked at best like a 2D up-conversion and no, i'm not talking about the scenes filmed in 2D. The best part of this movie was Daft Punk's 10-second appearence which makes me more negatively brushed by this movie. 2/5 stars.
EDIT: Let me point out that i'm a huge Daft Punk fan, I listen to 'em every day, it was not their appearence in the movie that disappointed me, it was the fact that they couldn't even get the spotlight for 10 puny-@$$ seconds.

not to mention it seemed like Daft got stiffed on the music side too.
i was hoping for so much more daft in the soundtrack and got jiped. (i also like him a lot, got a good number of his songs)

(i also like him a lot, got a good number of his songs) 1) Daft Punk is two guys, not one. 2) The whole soundtrack is Daft Punk. Just because it doesn't always sound like them doesn't mean it isn't. "Derezzed" is obviously very reminiscent of usual Punk, but they didn't set out to make a score entirely like that (though it would have been cool if they did, right?!). They composed and wrote all of the orchestral arrangements and did a lot-if not all-if the electronics. I believe Gavin Greenaway actually conducted the orchestra on the score, but the arrangements and composing was all Daft Punk.

Well, what I think he meant was same as I do that Daft didn't get to direct the soundtrack the way they wanted to, thereby they got "stiffed".

They didn't get to do it the way they wanted to? Where did you hear this? Or is that just an assumption?

Yeah, an assumption. Sorry If I was hard to read there. But i'm actually listening to the soundtrack right now and as an example Finale doesn't sound anything close to something Daft would do. Compared to Musique or superheroes or even Face To Face this is crap.

And don't get me wrong, I think that a soundtrack that basically sounded like a normal Daft album would be AWESOME, and that's kinda what I was hoping for when I first got it. And while it had flashes of that, obviously a score sounding like a normal album for them was not meant to be. They've said in interviews that this is what they wanted to do, and they definitely knew what they were getting into when they signed on. I guess you just have to take it for what it is and understand (begrudgingly, possibly) that this was their intent with it.
I also read in an interview with them that they wouldn't rule out the possibility of adding strings to future albums of theirs. Which I think would be kinda cool... as long as it's still largely electronics-infused.

ok, well if this is what they wanted them in fine with it.
now adding some strings to techno sounds assume! (as you said as long as it's still largely electronics-infused)
just knowing Disney, they will probably want to make a 3rd movie. the question though is how long will it be until they do. (and if they will do a much better job with the story next time)
