While at (sort of) a close race, The Academy succeeds Dreamscape in the tournament. Looks like all those dreams of the next round will have to stay tightly locked in that corridor of yours.
On to the next match, pitting a Season 1 episode against a Season 2 episode!
Episode 120: The Hunted
US Airdate: January 29th, 2006[/i]
Episode Summary: With her secret identity as the Huntsgirl revealed, Jake maintains an insecure attitude around Rose, the object of his affection. Though distracted by his own thoughts, he's forced to put them aside when he's captured by the Huntsclan for their Grand Equinox Hunt, where the Huntsgirl is planned to slay him after trying to for so long. Chained to an aquaphobic mermaid, an unlucky leprechaun, a cantankerous brownie, and a dim-witted giantess (with a foot-odor problem), he must demonstrate his abilities in leadership as a dragon in order to escape the hunt.
Tidbit: The episode that revealed Jake's identity to Rose, and ultimately set in motion the story-arc of Season 2.
VS.
Episode 211: Fool's Gold
US Airdate: September 16th, 2006[/i]
Episode Summary: Jake, disappointed with his lack of personal income (and the ridicule he receives from Brad Morton because of it), happens upon a somewhat shady leprechaun clan that deals in the delivery of various magical relics and items. Entranced by the (golden) material wealth and the popularity he gains around school because of it, Jake gets distracted from his duties. But when his work ultimately ends up helping out one of his worst enemies in his efforts for a doomsday plot, Jake must decide if the wealth he receives truly equates to respect.
Tidbit: The first episode of the series to be directed by Nick Filippi, who came on to direct Season 2 of the show after Steve Loter had to devote time to the newly-started fourth season of Kim Possible.
So, one's a praised fan-favorite, and the other is sort of a standalone... Can the winner be obvious? All of you know that there's only one way to find out!
...Yes, by voting for your favorite episode.
Voting will end at midnight (EST), as Friday, January 5th, 2007 begins. In the event of a tie, the poll will remain open until the tiebreaking vote is made, or for another 24 hours (option depending on current situation).
If you have any questions, feel free to PM them to me or ask me in this topic, and I will answer them as best as I can.
So, without further APU--
Apu: Oh! I have been zinged and I love it!
--let's get this going!
Well? Whaddya waitin' for?!
LET'S GO!!!
