SS2 is much better than SS1. SS1 design is really childish and stupid, one of many reasons that many people don't love AmDrag because of SS1 graphic design. I don't know why someone loves SS1 graphic.
SS1 is emotionless, SS2 graphic can express emotion better than SS1. Many people cry when watching "Home coming". In "The Hunted", when Rose leave, Jake feel amost nothing. it's so boring of SS1. I can't stand SS1.

To be honest, even if you're still steamed over the animation revamp, I can't seriously imagine why someone would prefer the first season over the second. It's just so much better in more ways than one. Well, my main complaints are: The drawing style is too angular. It's like they've taken all the curves and arcs out of the image. Nature is not about "straight" lines. Second, they revised the appearance of characters too much. I couldn't recognize anyone (if they returned as a guest role (Silva and Bertha, for example) and Rose I didn't know at first)! Third, Haley's style change was offensive. It's kindof a female stereotype that girls always have to like pink. I was glad to see Haley's favorite color (as reflected in her clothes and dragon form) was purple. And Principal Derceto was offensive too. I read that they were commended her for being "disabled", because no-one had done it before (put a disabled character in a role of authority). But they made her a mermaid in S2, effectively destroying the impact of that message. I could have lived with minor revisions, but a major revamp is offending to me. Basically, I like to create fan videos (or I did, before S2 arrived). But I can't use season 2 material with season 1 material because the styles don't match up. Someone not familiar with ADJL would not make the connection between a purple dragon and a pink dragon (Haley). Plus, Jake's and Grandpa's dragon forms looks stupid now. I preferred S1, because it doesn't look like them, preserving the mystery of their identity. The weird thing is, when everyone else changed, Rotwood stayed the same......

The drawing style is too angular. It's like they've taken all the curves and arcs out of the image. Nature is not about "straight" lines. Animation isn't always about "nature", or being realistic, if I'm grasping your interpretation right. It's about style. The designs were simpler but they allowed for overall better direction for the series: quicker and more fast-paced transitions into action. This complimented the quicker pacing and scripting of plots. Revisions for guest stars is reasonable, since not every who watched the show was a mega superfan and would always remember situational characters from previous episodes. And how could you not know Rose was Rose? She looked pretty darn similar to her former appearance. Are you serious? Color preference is OFFENSIVE to you? Derceto was always planned to be a mermaid by Matt and Eddie (go and read the entry about Disney's S&P notes on AmDrag on their blog). Someone not familiar with ADJL wouldn't be watching ADJL fan videos, so what's your point? And I could understand this when season 2 first started, where there were only a handful of episodes to use if you happened to like making videos, but now the whole season has aired. You have 31 episodes of material to use. I'm sure you could separate the styles with a catalouge like that. I don't get this. The dragon designs always had some semblance of the human design, and Season 2 kept this. Frankly, the Season 2 style has just proven itself as superior too much for me to go back to the Season 1 style. And the improvement in the writing and overall structuring of each episode was much better. If we ever got another season, I'd just want more of that.

I DID prefer season 1, but I'm not in so much hate with season 2 art like I was when Bring it On aired, so any artwork is fine for me.

Animation isn't always about "nature", or being realistic, if I'm grasping your interpretation right. It's about style. The designs were simpler but they allowed for overall better direction for the series: quicker and more fast-paced transitions into action. This complimented the quicker pacing and scripting of plots. Well, the worst thing I saw was (in the episode where Jake and Nigel were competing against each other to be president), he looks around a corner and his dragon neck hinges at a right angle. From memory, everytime Jake bent down, that happened. And how could you not know Rose was Rose? She looked pretty darn similar to her former appearance. Well, she doesn't look the same to me. Her face has totally changed. Are you serious? Color preference is OFFENSIVE to you? Well, it's just that I was proud of Haley for not following the stereotype and they took that away from her. Someone not familiar with ADJL wouldn't be watching ADJL fan videos, so what's your point? Never mind that. It's just the video editor in me being pedantic. I have a thing for continuity. And I could understand this when season 2 first started, where there were only a handful of episodes to use if you happened to like making videos, but now the whole season has aired. You have 31 episodes of material to use. I'm sure you could separate the styles with a catalogue like that. I just hate the S2 visual style so much I don't want to use it for anything. Plus, I have a whole bunch of S1 fanart and I'm not redrawing them all because someone made a bad decision! I don't get this. The dragon designs always had some semblance of the human design, and Season 2 kept this. In color, yes, but the faces were completely different. In the S2 versions, only an idiot would not be able to make the connection between dragon and human Jake/Lao Shi. I thought the different dragon face was necessary so that it was reasonable the Huntsclan (or any other enemies) could not recognize them when they were human.
