As some of you know there is a anime remake of Lilo and Stich, if that is a success, and the people in Japan want to remake another Disney series.
How would you feel if they did an American Dragon: Jake Long anime series?
I don't know how to feel, but the Huntsclan storyline is very anime to me, and would adapt well to anime. I think Huntsgirl is a perfect anime character. Going from the bad side to the good side, never really a villain, but more so confused into siding with the villain in the beginning.

I personally think an anime version of AD:JL would be awesome! It'd probably score the show a much larger fan base (along with a definite Season 3, while we're on it) and if it had a Japanese version, I'm sure the censors would be a lot more flexible with stuff like levels of language and blood/gore, which I feel would help attract an audience of a more 'mature' age-group.
Plus, they could make it a lot more emotional and darker, which is something I think really could've made this show. But obviously, that kind of content was absent due to the fact that AD:JL is aimed at more of a children's audience (Thank god for fanfiction, is all I can say xD).
A lot of the characters are really fitting to the anime style, as you said, and I'm sure we'd be able to appreciate their character in much greater depth under this style of show. The action scenes would probably be a lot better too (I'm not saying the ones in the cartoon are bad, I'm just saying I think an anime's adaptation of this show would have better action scenes).
Also, I think it'd be really funny to see the characters randomly sweat-dropping anime style. lol
Really, now that I think about it, I'm surprised that this show wasn't an anime to begin with. I mean, think about it, a teenager who posseses the able to shapeshift into a dragon. How anime is that? XD

Things they could add to make it more daker, is show what happens at the Huntsclan headquarters after a defeat, showing the Huntsman decipline Huntsgirl. I think the Huntsman has used corporate punishment on her, but Disney would never show that. Show things from Rose / Huntsgirl prospective like they do for Jake and his family, Trixie, and Spud.
Another thing is some closure for those other kids at the Huntsclan accedemy. Since this is Disney, I doubt they were killed off like the rest of the Huntsclan, there was probably a loop hole that they didn't get killed, because they were just trainees. They could have put them in some jubinal hall, try to find their parents, and try to rid them of the Huntsclan influence. I could invision those kids being like Dewey's junior fighter pilots in the last episode of Eureka 7. Remember how they phrased Dewey and cursed everybody out. They could do that with them.
I think a good post Huntsclan storyline for Rose would be even though she lost her memories (they would still do the memory lose thing, they do a lot in anime as well. See Code Geass for example), she hears about these kids on the news, and for some reason she doesn't understand, she feels she wants to help them, and help them find their families and have a normal life.
And in the end have the world find out about magical creatures as a result of a massive invasion by the Dark Dragon, and either have human and magicals learn to coexist, or just erase the human memories.
Speaking of the ending, I think the finale battle would be the Dark Dragon and an army of evil magical cratures including every magical villain Jake ever fought. And it is an all battle with Jake and his allies, his normal sidekicks Trixie, Spud, Fu, etc., his family all of the dragons of the world, all of the good magical cratures, Rose / Huntsgirl, and all of the ex Huntsclan trainees who are now refromed vs the Dark Dragon and his evil magical army.

Yeah, I think those kind of storylines would be interesting. Which again, is a shame why AD:JL was a TV show and not an anime, because Disney would probably never even give ideas like them a second glance, whereas they'd be in the form of anime episode before you could blink.
I think it'd be really cool if they included a time-skip as well, y'know, sort of Naruto/Naruto Shippuden style, where one show ends with the characters about 13 years old, and then comes back to them a couple of years ahead.
If Lilo & Stitch had an anime remake, then I'd def. like to see a version of AD:JL done the same way. Though I can't say I find it likely. It seemed like one of the less popular Disney shows and Lilo & Stitch was probably a lot more well known due to the fact that it had a couple of movies released.

I can't say i'm very much in to that idea. There are times when I like anime, like Xiaolin Showdown. But not ADJL, it has an American Story.

I really can't immagine an DBZ or Naruto kinda anime featuring Lilo & Stich, lol.
BUT, an AmDrag amine would be AWESOME! I don't know about you guys, but personnaly I haven't watched ANY ADJL for like half a year now (I know, shame on me) I think I've just grown over the simple cartoony stuff... But an anime! That could bring a new life into the series: More story, more realism (language and violence), perhaps the love story could really develop, and most of all: more dragons!
Hell ye, ADJL would be the perfect story for an anime, there's just so much of the old series that could get picked up. The "demise" of the huntsclan (no way you could destroy the badguys with a mere wish, LAME), the mythobiologists (Warfare, mythobiology should be warfare!), Magical creatures who're defying the dominion of dragons, or trying to conquer the world like the Dark Dragon.
Like I stated in the first passage: I've grown over the cartoony stuff of ADJL, and I'm sure the ppl who saw the show when it was first aired (so thats before I started to watch it) have the same thing. We've grown up, in the bad way :S Anime Could just be the right thing to bring back the older watchers of the show.
The more I think about it, the more I'd say "Screw season 3, remake or contine the series in anime!"

Maybe Anime would be a little more... umm realistic : ppl die, fight and R hurt in this stuff and it's not exactly the case in ADJL.

With anime for me, it depends. If it was like Red Garden though, that would be awesome. It takes place in New York and it's about the supernatural. The girls even have to give up their memories at one point. Plus, the art is better than most anime out there. It would be nice if the AD:JL anime was like it!

I can't say i'm very much in to that idea. There are times when I like anime, like Xiaolin Showdown. But not ADJL, it has an American Story. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by an 'American story', but I personally think that most anime like Naruto and DBZ, despite being Japanese, seem to have quite a few 'western influences', I think. For example, a lot of the characters have hair colours that are usually uncommon in Japan, like Naruto Uzuamki from Naruto being naturally blonde. Granted, they also have a number of hair colours that aren't natural to any culture as well, like pink and blue. xD Japanese culture itself has also welcomed a lot of the American culture into its own as well, such as the layout of their homes, which can be seen in anime. e.g. rather than eating kneeling on the floor or sleeping on futons they have proper dining furniture and beds. But anyway, what I mean is, I don't think an anime adaption of AD:JL would be that much different. I mean, sure, as we stated above, the show may be darker and have more adult type themes to it, but apart from that I wouldn't really expect the basic storyline to be that different. I mean, I can really imagine an anime artist loving the concept of magical creatures living in an underworld of modern society and probably would embrace the idea openly. But that's just my opinion.

The only problem that I have with it being anime is that it'd .. It'd lose how it was to begin with - it was a show that attracted kids (... well, kinda. more like freaky teenagers XD) but with it being anime, it'll clearly change. AD:JL was one of the last cartoons that you see on there that are actually good. It'd be cooler to see it more darker, but ... it'd be weird again, because it was Disney before ... and it kinda just changes it all overall.
I'm the type of person who takes forever to get used to something new - I'm horrible with timezone changes, and it took me FOREVER to get used to the season two style. As in, like, months, was how long it took. After that, I either like it, or I really hate it, so it's hard to say exactly how it'd play out for me if it was anime.
Idk, really. It'd be cool, but it also wouldn't be.
