I look at this and I cringe because I can't afford BF3 atm There's always a pirated copy, man. Oh wait, that applies for me and those whose weak currencies can't mix very well with US dollars.

Yeah I heard about this new thing called piracy... Says the founder of amdragswe... Nah, jk but I have no interest in upgrading my XBOX 360 atm with a flash that supports a pirated copy of BF3. That would cost me about as much as the game itself, and I don't really have an interest for flashed games atm...

Oh? You're owning a console, whoops, but oh wait, there's still piratebay that does support console files. But that's ok, it's your choice whether you want to buy the game or not. But you should be smarter today by now, look at the reviews, BF3 is now questionable. As myself, I rather not buy the game because of the campaign has problems for being short and dull. But for those who are all multiplayer, that game is worth it. So far, I rather see how MW3 goes. I'm sure I'll still play the game because it's Modern Warfare, but I don't put my hopes up since Activision loves to rush for money while in return giving us annoying bugs like Black Ops did.

don't mean to burst your bubble but battlefield has never been about the story. no one was expecting Shakespeare.
as long as the multilayer's good and the story is decent then its a solid game. (visually the games a masterpiece, so big win there)
reading IGN's review revels how bad the single player is though... "Battlefield 3's campaign does hit some memorable moments (especially in the graphics department), but as a whole it's trite and frustrating. The campaign jams Battlefield 3's multiplayer into a linear box where freedom of choice gets thrown out a non-destructible window. There are only a few buildings to blow holes in, barely any vehicles to take the wheel of, and quicktime events adorn enemy encounters in almost every level. While you can literally crash a helicopter on an opponent's head while parachuting to safety if you so choose in multiplayer, campaign makes you hit spacebar at just the right moment to avoid getting punched -- they're two different games. "
was hoping we wouldn't be filled with MW2-3+BO's but oh well. its the quick times and lack of obscene destruction in SP that most disappoints me.

I also read from others too, not just IGN, especially there's Gamespot. Yes, multiplayer is heavily focused on, but what about gameplay value? Sure, it can sustain. And I know it's too bad the offline goers like myself will not get a good value for the game hence not to touch the SP campaign.

i will be reading Maximum PC's review when it is released (should be soon).
sucks that the SP is apparently half assed and nothign like the MP. Ive been starting to grow away form MP modes in 'serious' shooters. (still love TF2 but getting tired of the MW3000 genera of gaming) actually wouldn't mind a good WWII or WWI shooter, let alone maybe one set in the 1800's or earlier. (still thinking i will be getting my hands on BF3 though, just going to wait for the price to drop)

Multiplayer can be addicting if you're not careful with yourself, that's why I gave it up totally years ago.
EDIT : NOW WAIT A MINUTE! After checking with the Battlefield wiki, apparently the missions are a total of 12 and yet the game reviews said short and dull? What the hell are they thinking? 12 is still not enough? What are they expecting? Like 20 or 30?
With the hell with it, I'll just begin downloading it. But sooner or later, like I did with MW2 & Black Ops, after playing the campaign, the value will drop and it's all absorbed into my memory and no longer feel like playing again upon completing the game or if reformat, will not reinstall.

yep you hit it perfectly. i went threw a time of MP addiction a few years ago and burned out my taste for it. i still have a love for TF2 but that's because its fun focused unlike all the other once out. (and easy to put down after a match)
so its seriously got a bunch of maps but is short? contradiction i see.
lol, your just like me. install, beat and or finish, then it just sits there till a reformat. feels wonderful now that i've reformatted to have a clean computer again.

So do I when it comes to TF2, but sadly, when I'm working, TF2 has to go, L4D1 & 2 must be very careful (Each campaign level takes about around 30-40 minutes to finish, and I still yet to play the updated Dead Air, Blood Harvest & Death Toll) and other games like Zombie Assault 3, which now I'm almost there till I get maximum rank must still got to be careful too, overall it's all about time management. Rebuild 2, no way, a whole game can be addicted for hours on Normal difficulty and I had almost no control upon playing that game, so I just kept it as collection.
As for the SP maps, well, you can't blame them when many critics are being nostalgia and old timers like myself, it's very hard to make 20 or 30 missions OR 1 mission that can last for a very very long time. MW1 I'm not sure how long does it take to finish the whole SP game. 7 to 8 hours for the whole campaign does feel short as I know when I played MW2 & Black Ops was about 10 to 11. But anyway, I'm downloading BF3 now BUT only as the singleplayer, multiplayer will not include as this one is another bunch of unnecessary gigs I don't want.

Well, that's true for IGN said, honestly I prefer the linear campaign, but when DICE made a huge mistake on copying Black Ops style, this is just NOT COOL, man! Moreover, it seems my work life took a toll, so after a 3 day straight of playing the whole campaign again and again, it's finally uninstalled. It's been fun while it lasted. And besides, the one thing I hate the most is the game is still bugged with loading problems and even quitting. When that happens, I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to take care of it, or worse, sometimes even have to force shut down. Huh! Thought BF3 is meant to take MW3 down? Again, still rigging with bugs and not to mention a copied campaign, Dice, you disappointed us! *face palms* Well, the only good news you did beat is MW2's buggy game and it also keeps my nausea down compare to Black Ops sickens my body and mind physically.

do realize that you have a 'cracked' version. your bound to be buggier...
however this dose remind me of a bug i loved form the MOH reboot beta. it was the log out bug. (if i were at my room right now i could post it) basically what it read was "you must log in to log out". that occurred after trying to log out of my account...
your report with IGN's has me worried that DICE is starting to fall for EA's rushing standard.

Ahh, but of course, surely I always forget about the cracked version I'm using and hence the bugs may appear. ^^;
EA is always about rushing and money, they'll never care. Hence independent game companies were created, even still, their most recent purchase is PopCap, the company who made Plants VS Zombies. And you know what they say, business is PopCap loves the offer from EA because they'll pay them big time, but as for fans, they don't care. BUT not for Valve, there was one time some Hollywood director came over to their company to make a movie about Half Life, but Valve decline it because if they want to make a movie, a Valve master should make it themselves, not some producer who only wants money, want money in terms of how they make it without proper research, remember Dragon Ball & The Last Airbender movies?
If Valve (Same case for Blizzard as well) only wants money, fans will boycott the company till kingdom come and the interest on their products will fade. So in this case, the great game companies always know what they are doing, fans are very precious to them and that's how and where the money comes from. Personally I rather have fans dropping in thousands of money into my account overtime rather than a one-shot million dollar purchase and then boom, I'm seeing my old company go up in smoke with terrible and rushed products.

um, obviously you haven't looked at blizzard in the past 3 years. they are only out for money. only reason why people don't boycott is because blizzard at least still produces good content. valve on the on the other hand has repeatedly reminded us that they are dedicated to quality over money. (how much free stuff do they hand out?!)
PopCap was never my choice in any developer till Plants Vs Zombies however i do have doubts about them being capable of creating something as great as that now that their owned by EA. EA has gone down a dark rode lately in their attempts to be like Activision. so far they have crippled Crysis and Medal of Honor. from the sounds of it pushed DICE to release prematurely now.
