Retro UI is just bypassing the Metro and then that's it, the features inside the website indicate it. Well, so you say it's not a permanent solution to our anti-Metro problems.
The Retina MacBook to me is an overkill, don't expect games to work on that kind of resolution, that's insane. The only "Retina" I'll buy and play is IF I buy a huge LCD screen, stick on the wall for my bedroom and then surf from there, play from there. X) But here's one problem, similar to the patent case, Retina is a technology invented by Toshiba and Apple grabs the opportunity when Toshiba didn't patent on time and they're too scared to sue Apple.
Ahh yes, the evolution of the world, I encounter one job I used to work when that computer was great in the early 90s, it's a high end Pentium 4 that the person use it for years until it can no longer handle the high demand or high powered software. And it's true for my last laptop when you recall I can't Left 4 Dead 2 at all, even at the most minimum specs and had no choice but to upgrade. Well as for me, I'll buy a desktop instead with a powerful Nvidia 600 series with FXAA & TXAA anti-aliasing feature, although I'm going to need your help when it comes to power consumption, because otherwise, I don't want to end up with my same old problem which my dad warned me before, Desktop are power-hoggers (Today's time normally they should be more green as close to their laptop counterparts, I think).
Linux on the rise because people say it's based on Android, but if hackers know Android, they're gonna attack the vanilla Linux OS as well one day.
Me too on the DOS empire part, same case for game developers, I really hate my game company to be merged or brought out by giants, I'll normally study their business practices as well as reviews from gamers before considering a huge cash from them, the easily remembered and still the most infamous is still, you guessed it, EA.
