Defy plus not interested when 1.4 Ghtz is the new model, I prefer single core on that speed but dual core I don't mind either. 1Ghtz I fear may not fun Flash contents very well (Imagine full screen), not Flash files when I surf the web, more like watching it locally in the smartphone, particularly FLV & SWF files I played on my PC.
Minimal scratch? That's ok to hear, but Gorilla Glass is no scratches AT ALL! And I'm aiming for that.

don't mean to burst your bubble man but all Ive ever heard of these extra strength glass/plastic screens is how brittle they are when hit form the edges. LINK only took 3 drops at 3.5feet to kill that iPhone 4. while they may not scratch, when they do take damage its normally pretty bad. now maybe Gorilla Glass is different in its compressive strength, however i'm filling it with all of the other scratch resistant plastics/glasses Ive seen till its proven otherwise. (just wondering though, why we talking phones in a operating system thread?)

Don't ask me, Clone, amdrag was the one who went of course and I follow suit. As for those claims of other scratch resistant plastic or glasses, there are people wish to see tests but unfortunately, anti-Apple fans willing to destroy Apple products but I'm already tired to see them with Youtube already got tons of that, Android devices were nearly never put to the test because when they love it so much, it's very difficult that they never dare to destroy one to get to the truth and put this myth to bed. Not to say I support Apple, it's just that I'm very skeptical to see how their glasses perform, remember the Galaxy Nexus? Samsung could perfect that, but they stall it and use the term "fortified glass" and that's it, not Gorilla, didn't say Dragontrail, then what is it? So everyone's skeptical until it's put to the test like I said in my previous post.

Yeah we got a little OT but the conversation steered in that direction so I figured why not, this is a pretty dead forum anyway When it comes to the glass of the GS...Wow, that's quite a mystery Someone should take it to a lab or something...

Youtube got a few people, but we cannot tell if anybody wants to volunteer to destroy their Android devices, of course, they're not just expensive, but those with Android wouldn't want to dare to destroy their own precious devices. Those with Apple products can dare to destroy, but Android is the exact opposite as we know, if I were them, we are showing our love for Android while we hate for the rotten fruit company. If you put yourself into their shoes, you know they are saying the same thing like I said here.

Yeah, like you said... YouTube has some people who I could imagine doing this. Particularly unboxtherapy. That guy is freaking loaded! I mean he brings new unboxing videos like at least five times a week... But it'd seem kinda silly to ask someone anything like that

All that unboxing makes them feel like they love their device, think of it as like a child for geeks and treat it as their very own son or daughter, destroyed it more like murder. Apple devices usually will not care despite it's way more expensive than Android, but you know what they say, Apple is all money face, weaker specs yet very expensive, so people always prepare to destroy it. Even if they do win one, they rather trade it for an Android or cold hard cash instead, so do I if I do.
I hate repeating myself, so I wonder what's next to discuss? I heard Windows 8 is already ready for public beta, I think.

the public beta for windows 8 is supposed to be announced any time now and the windows app store is supposed to go active in February.
with the end of classes for me, i will now have the time to properly reformat my laptop and get down to testing the differences in performance between windows 8 and windows 7.

Hmm, I hope that I'll get to read your big review or verdict in some sort of blog or something rather than here. Because I know there will be other Win8 reviews out there, except which one is more trusted.

i was righting up a quick thing on my current opinion on Windows 8, however PCgamer sumerised it better. www.pcgamer.com/2012/03/02/windows-8-beta-first-impressions-brave-but-flawed/1/"On the whole these are straightforward and simple to learn: but it almost always takes more effort to get straightforward things done than before. " "The fact that I don’t really need a mail app filling the entirety of my 30inch screen with 40 point text (there’s no option to resize it) is neither here nor there." "The desktop isn’t an alternate user mode to Metro, as many make out. Microsoft explicitly want you to see it as just another app," "Things are worse when it comes to the built in browser. The Metro browser and the desktop browser are both called Internet Explorer and use the same Start launcher. " unless the RC makes a large turnaround form this Beta set, im sticking with 7.

It's still kind of ok when I look at the Windows 7 style, but as usual, before upgrading, I'll definitely not just read the reviews, but as well as watching Youtube videos on how does the user will feel, especially upon upgrading and then start messing around. After installation is definitely got to be Metro, and then old time lovers will find ways to change it back to the traditional mode.

i wouldn't be half surprised if the registry hack i used in the alpha version still works in the beta build, however placing it completely disables Metro and as such any reason to use the OS over windows 7.
the quick snopsus of my opinion of windows 8 is this. It takes longer to do the same things, and you cant multitask. (unless your definition of multitasking is switching between one full-screen app to another)
i know before i was trying to defend the OS from you and DUP's stabs at style, however Microsoft's really doped the ball on enthusiast support within the OS. ever revision has made it work less and less like a desktop OS and more like a tablet OS.
